What will you be doing for Spring Break?

I live in the panhandle of Florida. Much of our annual income depends heavily on Spring Break (the next six weeks). Our economy was decimated by hurricane Michael and is only just beginning to recover. A hit from the corona virus fear mongers could be a nail in the coffin of many of our mom and pop businesses. If you are planning to visit, please don't let the fear mongers ruin your vacation.

I know what you're talking about. people are scared, Trump just needs to let whoever wants to take a test. let them. everyone would know this is'nt real... Instead of closing everything in America...

I saw where the large entertainment companies like Disney and Universal are closing down. It looks like fear is going to cost a lot of people their jobs and small businesses. It's a shame.

As of today most of our beaches are open. The weather is great. Come on down and take a dip.

I sure wish I could. I love Florida. Unfortunately, here in Canada, if we travel out of country, we are told we need to go into a two week quarantine on our return. Also the planes are full of recycled air and you end up exposed to all the other world travelers during the trip. I'll be praying for a quick end to this situation. I hope you are and your family are OK.

Actually air on planes it quite clean... between 94 and 99.9 percent of airborne microbes are captured, and there’s a total changeover of air every two or three minutes.

Boeing .. I did some research when this entire situation started with COVID 19 and read up on it, not sure if I have the link.... as well I have a engineer friend that worked on planes has always told me planes now a days as opposed to the past, have a very good filtration system .. air is pulled in from the engines and run through high quality filters.
Certain amount is fresh and a certain amount is filtered recirculated.

Now be sure to clean the surfaces of your seat and the touch screen because that would be a different story.

Yes definitely. I watched a CBC special on planes and they said that the germ-covered areas of the plane were the seat buckles, the head rests and the magazine pouch on the back of the seat in front. The said the magazine pouch had fecal bacteria as some people had left used diapers in there (so gross). Last time I traveled I made sure I cleaned the head rest and it definitely took a few wipes for the surface to be clean. Blech.
