After sitting back and reflecting on this virus I came to 2 conclusions:

1) We do not get all the information and the Corona virus is busy destroying countries,

2) It is just another flu and with some fuel from mainstream media it has now spiralled out of control.

Think about it, on average all the major markets in the world has dropped by 20%, except for China who is up by 3%. When the markets fell the biggest buyer in the market was China. The virus started in China and they are also the country that will recover first from the impact of the virus.

There are annually 500 000 people that die from normal flu. Normal flu is just as contagious as Corona and Corona according to mainstream media has now killed not even 10 000.

The world has officially gone mad....

I’m hearing all kinds of different things seen satellite images of the ozone, since the out break in China the pollution levels have dropped off considerable and across Europe and starting to change around the globe the ozone layer is in a flux. it’s estimated 80 people didn’t die in China because of the air quality has improved. world Industrial complexes etc. in a halt mode and the earth is fluxing.

What should actually be of a concern is our inability to handle a crisis like the Corona virus.

Compared to Spanish flu this is a non-event.

I should also just add, this is if the stats we are given are accurate.

My dear brothers and sisters, I do want to thank the people who are self-isolating.
I know it seems crazy. The virus may not end up bouncing down your street. You may end up being a carrier and never know it, but others could pay the price.
It sort of reminds me of people who text and drive. I saw someone doing that down our street. A little girl had to run off the sidewalk in front of our complex and almost got hit. She was crying on the grass where she fell. The driver never saw her or looked up. He was on his phone, oblivious.
For me, here is where it gets personal. I hope you all don't mind if I share.
I had a call from my doctor. He was blunt. He told me that I am in the highest risk group. It is hard to know that if I get it, I probably won't make it. If there are 10 sick people who need ventilators I will not be the one chosen. I am on chemo. I will not be a priority for treatment. It was chilling to have that phone call (I needed to renew prescriptions and we had a phone appointment rather than me going to the office).
For people like me, it is imperative that I don't get sick. By people doing what they can to keep the virus from spreading and becoming something with monster numbers, we will do our best to block it from getting a hold. Dying of this is rather horrible. Your lungs develop fibrosis and they fill up with water and/or puss. If they can drain it in time you have a chance, otherwise you drown. You can't catch your breath. The doctors say people are aware as it happens.
On behalf of myself and my family, thank you for your sacrifices to give people like me a chance. Bless you.

I understand and respect the knowledge of the illness. My personal view is that if you have flu (normal or Corona) do the decent thing and stay at home. Last year I was very upset because people working in my office didn't have the common decency to stay at home and basically our whole office was man down with flu within a week. This is why I say, normal flu or Corona is contagious and people should consider one another.

Thank you for sharing and God bless :)

I know, plain ridiculous. Costco just opened up here for the first time and on the news they showed the line up way way way down the street. Pensioners were knocked over and scrambled over so they have opened the shops for them between 7am and 8am in the dark!!
Of course! You are on the opposite side of the seasonal year to us. What a pain.

They've done the same here for pensioners. The problem is, many pensioners don't drive & rely on their bus passes to get around.
Bus passes that have a 9:30 am travel restriction. Duh!

Normal flu contagious for a day before symptoms and a few days while sick ... Covid 19 contagious no symptoms, incubates up to 14 days.

Normal flu affects less than one percent of the population and only a small percentage of that die.

Covid 19 average mortality rate with a robust health care system 2%.

Plus this a not a flu virus it is a SARS type virus affects the body differently.

Compared to Spanish flu this is a non-event.
The two situations not comparable... doctors etc back then did not know it was caused by a highly transmissible virus.

I am sad to read this. Prayers.
And thank you so much for reminding us of the realities.
There are many differences with this virus that people are not willing to accept sadly.
The numbers seem low but the actual number infected is quite high but they are asymptomatic.
And some people are not willing to be inconvenienced for the sake of another in our individualistic society.

Please take care of yourself... I hope you have a good support system that can bring you supplies since venturing out is something you should not do ... this virus is quite hardy in the air and on surfaces.

New treatments are being developed thankfully ... we need to think of this as being in wait mode.:)

:coffee:
Cannabis panic buyers were queueing round the block in the Netherlands to stock up on weed before a nationwide shut down. The Dutch government decided to lockdown the country on Sunday to stop the spread of coronavirus, and it sparked an immediate response from drug users. Queues steadily formed outside the famous ‘coffee shops’ – where cannabis can be legally bought – across the country. Some panic buyers waited all day to get their hands on supplies to last them through a quarantine that could last for weeks. All marijuana coffee shops were ordered to close by 6pm on Sunday, as part of comprehensive measures, which also affect saunas, sex clubs and sport schools.

Thank you for the kindness. I really do appreciate it. It is so hard to be vulnerable. I have spent my life on the helping side of the table and having to step off from the frontline is hard.

Here is a really good explanation as to why this is trickier than a regular flu.
"
Feeling confused as to why Coronavirus is a bigger deal than Seasonal flu? Here it is in a nutshell. I hope this helps. Feel free to share this to others who don’t understand...

It has to do with RNA sequencing.... I.e. genetics.

Seasonal flu is an “all human virus”. The DNA/RNA chains that make up the virus are recognized by the human immune system. This means that your body has some immunity to it before it comes around each year... you get immunity two ways...through exposure to a virus, or by getting a flu shot.

Novel viruses, come from animals.... the WHO tracks novel viruses in animals, (sometimes for years watching for mutations). Usually these viruses only transfer from animal to animal (pigs in the case of H1N1) (birds in the case of the Spanish flu). But once, one of these animal viruses mutates, and starts to transfer from animals to humans... then it’s a problem, Why? Because we have no natural or acquired immunity.. the RNA sequencing of the genes inside the virus isn’t human, and the human immune system doesn’t recognize it so, we can’t fight it off.

Now.... sometimes, the mutation only allows transfer from animal to human, for years it’s only transmission is from an infected animal to a human before it finally mutates so that it can now transfer human to human... once that happens..we have a new contagion phase. And depending on the fashion of this new mutation, thats what decides how contagious, or how deadly it’s gonna be..

H1N1 was deadly....but it did not mutate in a way that was as deadly as the Spanish flu. It’s RNA was slower to mutate and it attacked its host differently, too.

Fast forward.

Now, here comes this Coronavirus... it existed in animals only, for nobody knows how long...but one day, at an animal market, in Wuhan China, in December 2019, it mutated and made the jump from animal to people. At first, only animals could give it to a person... But here is the scary part.... in just TWO WEEKS it mutated again and gained the ability to jump from human to human. Scientists call this quick ability, “slippery”

This Coronavirus, not being in any form a “human” virus (whereas we would all have some natural or acquired immunity). Took off like a rocket. And this was because, Humans have no known immunity...doctors have no known medicines for it.

And it just so happens that this particular mutated animal virus, changed itself in such a way the way that it causes great damage to human lungs..

That’s why Coronavirus is different from seasonal flu, or H1N1 or any other type of influenza.... this one is slippery . And it’s a lung eater...And, it’s already mutated AGAIN, so that we now have two strains to deal with, strain s, and strain L....which makes it twice as hard to develop a vaccine.

We really have no tools in our shed, with this. History has shown that fast and immediate closings of public places has helped in the past pandemics. Philadelphia and Baltimore were reluctant to close events in 1918 and they were the hardest hit in the US during the Spanish Flu.

Factoid: Henry VIII stayed in his room and allowed no one near him, till the Black Plague passed...(honestly...I understand him so much better now). Just like us, he had no tools in his shed, except social isolation...

And let me end by saying....right now it’s hitting older folks harder... but this genome is so slippery...if it mutates again (and it will). Who is to say, what it will do next."
Now this being said, I know we have a good God, a big God and we do not need to despair, just be wise.
