Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 11 lists many born again OT saints who had faith.
Lost people have faith. Yes, they had faith from hearing the word of God. The, they must be obedient. That’s Hebrews 11.

You need to consider this when reading Revelation.
I’m speaking of the Church age. In the millennium, we have already received our glorified bodies and physically returned with Christ to reign with Him a thousand years.

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV 1900)

“For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:11–12 (KJV 1900)

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3–4 (KJV 1900)

This is a false prophecy given by the Pharisees. Jesus refutes is continually in the gospels.

We are talking OT. Paul’s gospel was in mystery form.

They had a veil over their eyes and could not understand until Christ interpreted it for us. This is why you should junk the Pharisee's ideas and re-read the gospels looking for Jesus' words on the matter.

It was revealed to Paul by Christ. His writings are to the body of Christ, the NT Church. What Paul taught had never been revealed before.

Peter preached the same gospel in Acts.
There were many things Peter did not understand. Also, the gospel Peter preached was the gospel of the circumcision. Paul preached the gospel of the uncircumcision.

They were the same gospel. Abraham knew the mystery. The gentiles would be blessed in him. And the same Gospel Peter preached to the gentiles in Acts 10. Paul took the same gospel to other nations making them members of Israel too.

Abraham understood the d,b,r of Jesus on the cross? The gospel of Paul makes them members of the body of Christ, not Israel.

The the gospel is the same good news no matter how much God reveals of it. Christ revealed more details in time. But it was always the New Birth that produced faith. Salvation is by grace, not how much you know.

Believing today what God gave Abraham will not save anyone. It must be believing in the d,b,r of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins.

Faith come by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

This is misguided. The gospel switched the saved Jews over to the New Covenant showing that animal sacrifices were now replaced by Christ. They were still born-again believers. You are making knowledge the savior, not Christ.

It makes no difference which covenant men lived under God has always ministered by grace to those who are redeemed.

David said blessed is the man to whom Jehovah will not impute iniquity.

The only way to be born again is to believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for sins. Period. This was not possible until after the cross.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

OT Jews were to believe that God would send a Redeemer to redeem them from destruction. Belief was required both OT and NT.

In order for their sins to be forgiven, they had to follow the law.
