How much 'doing of the word' must one do before they are assured of their justification?
Don't you think it is better to trust in Jesus for one's justification?
But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

The point of Rom 2:13 and following is that there are none that do good.
For certain that our doing/works and our justification are not related. Jesus did what only He could do as God to allow us to be justified. For me, the assurance of salvation came when I knew beyond any doubt that I had surrendered my life to Him as Lord as well as Savior - and had the relationship with Him for my life forward. It’s not a hard concept. If a friend gives you a gift, out of love do you not try and return the favour? If your spouse needs something do just respond, “but I love you”.
Jesus said, be perfect like our Father in heaven. Yes we are saved by grace because not one soul can come to level of Jesus but that’s just it, we should be so thankful that we be “obedient servants”. If the servant of King says, that now boss for making me a servant but I don’t feel like getting your rope...I simply wouldn’t want to be that servant lol. Just like the parables Jesus says of those with the talents/shekels.
Billy Graham said it perfectly once. “I had a boy recently, and the other day he said ‘dada’. Wow what a moment. Now imagine if 20 years later, all my son could say is ‘dada’. He hasn’t grown at all and that’s just what I see amongst many of my Christian brothers, Christians going around saying ‘dada’. They know 1 bible verse out of the thousands and they profess to be his follower. On that day he will say, I never knew you because you never knew ME!”

Each one of us should first be worried with our own standing with God especially at this time of a judgment and we must self evaluate to build on our good deeds!
Okay, I'm not going to argue with one who insists on continuing in their error and contradict the Gospel as clearly laid out in 3 chapters (Rom:1-3) in Scripture.
What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” “Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

How much did you have to surrender for it to be enough...the point where you reached that assurance?
I'd rather give glory to Jesus.

Let's not mix our puny efforts in with His marvelous work.
We go back to the beginning. Even the first word in the Bible is beginning. We study the Hebrew letters because they are symbols that have meaning. This is called the law of first use. We start off very simple then as we develop our understanding things become more complicated. Children just learn the Bible stories. Then as they grow up and become adults they learn to understand the meaning of those stories and how we can apply them to our life today.
Question? What happens to those who are saved by Grace but attempt to bring about sanctification by self?
Hi, friend. Many use this verse to advance the idea of OSAS, saying that those in the end who will be lost "were never saved because God never knew them to begin with". With many examples to the contrary (The Unmerciful Servant, the saved of Hebrews 6 who were "made partakers of the Holy Ghost", the proverbial "sows" and "dogs" of 2 Peter 2, etc.), one might question whether this verse contradicts the others.
Ezekiel tells us that if the righteous man turns back to sin, "all his righteousness will NOT BE REMEMBERED" in the day of Judgment. So, in that sense, Jesus says "I never knew you" because He's chosen to FORGET those who turned back to a life of iniquity without ever having repented of it.
