Hi everybody,

I am thinking that God is already inside my heart (or body). So, whenever I am going to do something, I tried to ask myself peacefully and quietly as to what I really want to do and then make a plan in my mind step by step.

Is this the way that I can get to know what God want me to do?

How can I to be with God?

I want to learn from all of you.

Thanks

Hi Joe, I see you are still pretty new around here, so first off, welcome to CChat :)

As for knowing the will of God for your life, I believe that is normally found in our ongoing/growing relationship with Him. He talks to us through His word, and we respond back to Him in prayer.

Ligonier Ministries (the teaching fellowship of Dr. R. C. Sproul) has just made a short, 2-part series about the will of God available online for free. I believe it may be a good place for you to start, because not only does Dr. Sproul give you instruction and practical advice about finding God's will, he'll also tell you what ~not~ to do too, and why.

Here is the link to the series (the lectures are less than 1/2 hour each as they were originally made for his radio broadcast program called, Renewing Your Mind).

Finally, here is some Scripture for you to consider.

"This is the will of God, your sanctification......" .. 1 Thessalonians 4:3
"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth" .. John 17:17
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect" .. Romans 12:2
Psalm 1
1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
Joshua 1
8 This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

God bless you! (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

~Deut

Psalm 37
4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

God is love, so you know you made the right choice if love motivates it. It's the wrong choice if love does not motivate it.

Hello and Welcome, Joe...
There are several things you can do to help you know God's will. First, ensure that you are a Christian (that you have accepted Jesus' sacrifice for your sin, and that you believe in His death, burial and resurrection).

Read a portion of the Bible every day, with the goal of understanding Who God is, and the intention of reading all of it eventually.

Ask God to teach you to hear His voice. He will honour that request. Ask Him for clear direction on simple matters (to start). Listen for His voice through any of the means He used in the Bible: audible or inaudible voice, thoughts, dreams, visions, circumstances, words through others, etc. Be aware that the enemy also wants to deceive you, so protect yourself (1 John 4; Ephesians 6:10-18, etc.).

Trust that God is at work in you, and buckle your seatbelt for the adventure ahead! :)

be humble!! God rejects the proud but gives grace 2 the humble, 1 peter 5:5 pray 2 God or even speak 2 him in ur mind, ask him 2 give u wisdom and help u not to sin!!

Philippians 4:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

It seems not easy to understand Bible. I wish God will help me to understand it.
People who knows Bible are at higher layer of human beings, I believed.

He will; you need only ask Him. Start with a one passage, and ask God to give you understanding. Build on that. It takes time; be patient. :)

the word of God is clear.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

This is a promise

Jesus said I am with you always I will never leave you nor forsake you. That is a promise

The Bible says we are to hide the word of God in our hearts that we must not sin against Him.

there are four things that will help us change and stay close to our Lord.

studied the word of God
Pray
separate from the world and draw close to the Lord
fellowship with other believers

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2).

Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32).

There's no mystery to it. Talk to God as you would talk to a friend or a parent or someone close. You will find that he listens. If you wish to hear from Him, then read the Bible and listen to how His word is relevant in your life. If you're new to reading the Bible, then read the Bible everyday. Always communicate with Him and God will listen and will help you with everyday life. God bless you

A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.
Proverbs 16:9

I have seen this so much in my life the last 10 years it's not funny, even up until this day.
I look and see where He has taken me and I can see I am right where He wants me.

I didn't know the plan, I tried plan my own course but He gently guided me His way.

Sometimes we can know His plan, and sometimes we don't - that's where a lot of trust comes in.

Another big thing I've learnt from this is to thank Him in every situation. It may not look like how you want it, or what you expect but thank Him anyway, He DEFINITELY knows best.

Thank you for asking.
Currently I do not have. I am wondering where I can get an electrical copy and I would be very glad to read it loudly whenever I am available.
