Can anybody help? I want to be saved/Born again. I’m Struggling about the process. If there is one?

Please forgive my ignorance, but
I’n the last year I’ve really been thinking about salvation, and becoming saved. I thought about the life I have lead, and it’s been a life of sin. I’ve done things that I’m really ashamed of.

Now I look back at my earlier days and think to myself ... “what was I thinking “? I would never think of doing any of that stuff that I did in the past.

If I was to die tomorrow I don’t think that I would reach the kingdom of heaven. I’ve read so much about being saved or born again, it seams like everyone has a different opinion.

This leads me to my next question. If I become born again, are all my sins washed away, and what are the steps to becoming born again?

I know that I have to repent, but is that all I need to do? Do I need to repent for each sin individually? I have sins that I can’t even remember . Do I need to confess my sins to anyone besides God? Do I need reach out to all the people that I’ve sinned against and ask for forgiveness? I know I’m asking a lot of questions, but I really hope someone can help me.

I really don’t know how to go about this? Should I get baptized again? Do I need to be baptized again to be saved? This would be extremely hard due to churches being closed

I have listened to different theories about becoming born again, and some people say to do it one way, and some say to do it another way

I really want to do this the right way, but I don’t know what is the right way of doing it?

Thank you for reading

Romans 10:9-10

9. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Welcome Feedom49..

Salvation is gifted by God to those who believe Jesus and trust that the Atonement Jesus secured by His death on the cross that pays the penalty for all their sins...

And yes all ones sins are forgiven by doing this..

Repent by acknowledging to God that all you have done that is against his will are transgressions against His perfect will and also that every good thing you have failed to do that is Gods will for you to do is also a transgressions against his will.. Thank Him for the sacrifice that Jesus willingly went to face out of love to save you from Gods eternal judgement for all the evil things that you have done and all the good actions you have failed to do..

I hope you become my brother or sister in Christ ( not sure by your name what your gender is ) .. Hope to see you in eternity :) May the LORD guide you on the Way and may you be willing to follow Him on that Path..

It is this simple. The gospel (good news) is that Jesus died paying for your sins on the cross; he was buried (proving he died), and he rose again on the third day (proving he was sinless). If you believe this, it is because you are born again and already have eternal life.

Jesus said: “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” John 6:37 (KJV 1900)

Jesus the anointing Holy Spirit our teacher is the Way as the source of spiritual Truth. His words are life and are spirit the power of the new life.

It appears you have all the tools available for rightly diving the word of God beginning with a willing believing new heart as a desire to even look into the unseen things of God. Study to show your self approved rightly dividing the one source of Christ in faith as it is written . We are all on a learning curve as a open book source. He will finish the work of teaching us how to walk by faith till the last day .

If you are presenting yourself honestly, you are already born again, and have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. The word "salvation" used in the scriptures, according to the Greek interpretation of the word means "a deliverance". Jesus was sent by his Father to redeem those that God elected before the foundation of the world, Eph 1, and Jesus, by his death on the cross secured the eternal salvation (deliverance) for all of God's elect that he gave to him to die for.

If you are sincere in your presentation, you show the evidence that you are already born again. 1 Cor 2:14, describes the natural man before he has been born again, by explaining that he cannot understand the things of the Spirit, and has no desire to know them. We are all born into this world as natural beings, unborn of the Holy Spirit, as explained in Eph 2. We do nothing to get born again, because we are born again by God's grace, and not of anything that we do, Eph 2:8, and that includes, having to accept his death on the cross, confessing him as your Savior, inviting him into your heart, attending church, repenting of your sins, etc. All of these actions, or works of man, are done after a person has been born again, and can understand the things of the Spirit.

Many of God's born again children, who have a lack of knowledge of the doctrine of Jesus, tend to think that the scriptures teach that man has to do all of these works to earn their eternal deliverance (salvation). From their lack of knowledge, they do not realise that their good works that they perform after they have been born again does deliver (save) them from believing in the false doctrine that tells them that they are delivered (saved) eternally by their good works. By understanding these truths about the salvations that are taught in the scriptures gives all praise and honor to God, and not to man. Most of the salvation (deliverance) scriptures in the bible have reference to deliverances we receive as we sojourn here on earth. The bible (inspired words of God) are God's instructions to his born again children, telling them how that he wants them to live their lives as they sojourn here in this world. The "good news" of the gospel informs his born again children how they were secured to inherit heaven, by Christ's sacrifice on the cross, as their never ending home.

1 Cor 2:14 tells me that the natural man, before he has been born of the Spirit, does not understand spiritual things, such as, "repenting of breaking a spiritual law that he can not understand", "believing Jesus" and "trusting that Jesus secured their atonement by his death on the cross". The spiritual understanding of these things comes after he has been born of the Spirit and is then able to discern spiritual things. The actions (works) of man cannot deliver (save) him eternally. After he is born again, by God's sovereign grace, then his good works and believing can help to deliver (save) him from the temptations of this world, and when he does separate himself from fellowship with God by yielding himself to the temptations of this world, and repents, he will be delivered (saved) back into his fellowship with God.

The "salvations" in Romans 10:9-10, does not have reference to eternal salvation (deliverance), but to deliverances that we can receive as we sojourn here in this world after we have been born again. Eternal deliverance is not earned by our actions of good works, but after we are born again, they can deliver (save) us from the temptation of this world. The natural man, that cannot discern the things of the Spirit, 1 Cor 2:14, will not, and indeed, can not "confess" and "believe" in the things of the Spirit, until after he has been born again of the Spirit.

Most of the people on this forum have not been revealed these truths, an the Holy Spirit will not reveal the truth of the doctrine of Jesus to them, until they deny themselves (the belief that they have to give God permission to save them by their acceptance of him). Eternal deliverance, in which I believe all sincere people on this forum have, most are preaching the false doctrine of eternal salvation by works.

The same doctrine that killed the WoF people is the doctrine of salvation believed on by most. They often said, "the same way God saved you by your choosing to believe, is the same way he heals you or makes you prosper." So I doubt many of this mindset are any more saved than these were healed.

to the op. Please do not listen to this stuff. It is not of God and it is not of the bible

The NT over and over says we are born again and receive life eternal by our faith in him.

This is a fatalistic view of salvation. which to be honest I do not think needs to be brought into this thread. and I ask the poster of this comment to please stop. this is not the time or the place for a calvinist debate!

the OP asked a serious question about salvation. and here we have two people who want to argue fatalism.

Please. if you want to argue this stuff there are many threads about it, Lets not confuse the op by trying to argue this here. don't you people know how to use some common courtesy.. Don't argue with people in front of a person seeking God

And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:30
I have always wondered about this, how is the entire household saved? I read in a textbook that the entire household believes the same way as the head (the head makes the decision)).

Please listen to what EG shared. This is this what the Bible says;

Romans 10:9-10

10. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

It is that simple. Don't let the others arguing here obscure your way.

ps. Haven't seen you in a while EG hope you are yours are doing well during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear that. People are over in the News forum saying it isn't real. smh My mother has just come thru 5wks of chemo/radiation treatment. She's been in the house since this all began. We're doing all we can to keep her safe. People who are denying this make me so angry. smh Praying the Lord will intervene and stop this virus.
