Amen...we also have the assurance that "if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous"...but just a few verses later, the condition upon which we can claim this promise of advocacy is found: "If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

A just man falls seven times and rises up (by His grace) again, but the presumptuous man climbs down into the pit of sin, gets comfortable, covers himself with the filth of it, and refuses the outstretched hand of the Savior to lift him out....all the while claiming to be "more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus".
Why do you say he claims to be a conqueror in Christ Jesus if he sins...wouldn't he rather say, Lord, forgive me, I am the worst of sinners...wouldn't this make him come to the revelation that it IS and will BE by faith...from first to last...that we are saved....

I am very thankful you got that right....LOL
I filter everything through the lens of Paul’s epistles. If something goes against Paul’s teachings to the body of Christ, it allows me to understand that the doctrine being taught is not for the body of Christ but another audience, usually the Jews before the body of Christ was established or after the body of Christ is caught up.

Dude, you are a colossal piece of work. You have been REPEATEDLY attacking me personally as a coward - do you know how insulting that is to a 6', 255 lb. 100% red blood American MALE and Veteran of a Foreign War?

PERSONAL ATTACKS ARE PROHIBITED.

The reason I didn't report you is that when people act like you, I just figure the best thing to do is pray that God opens their eyes to their unChristlikeness, not go running to the mods to ban them like some Special Snowflake tree hugging lefist.
Wait, didn't you call him a fool?

OSAS is a doctrine of satan. And all who follow and teach it are of Satan and His legion
You show your hate-filled blindness to the world. We follow Jesus Christ, but by all means, continue blessing us with your insults.

This post has some very contradictory statements.

The gift of salvation is never "quid pro quo."
It's not a matter of "quid pro quo." We do not earn our salvation through good works but Scripture is clear there are the wicked and the righteous and that those who find salvation find righteousness. God's love is unconditional because love has to be unconditional, but part of love is protection against threats and the wicked pose a threat and therefore are judged. The confusion, in my reading, is with what was judged on the cross. At the cross, God judged sin not sinners. Finding God's grace is a confirmation of our righteousness which is faith and walking in that grace we will come to express that righteousness, to perfect that righteousness in deeds.

He HAS grown up Blue! Quite large according to him.

Besides, if we can't have some fun while quarantining ourselves I give up!

Plus, he never answered whether his sinless self believes hypocrisy is a willful sin. Why he not?

It seems that some folks would ignore another member of the body of Christ and become one who smells, but cannot see. Or one who can see, but cannot smell. By dismissing one another and ignoring one another we are bitting and consuming one another. The chief reason is because of those who work harder to interpret scripture rather than simply obeying them.

Though I disagree with the OSAS crowd, I do glean some useful fruit from them. And I strive to continue to love them. But it’s saddening how some on the OSAS side talk to others with such hateful contempt. Truly grieving to my spirit. Imagine how this must grieve the Holy Spirit.

I would like you to Read my latest Post #131,395 . And tell me if I handled it RIGHT. It is YET another LIE about OSAS BELIEFS.

Look at the Page number that we are on, and these KIND OF LIES coming from your side of the FENCE, have been going on since the beginning. I certainly Can why dc gets so frustrated, with those LIES. And YET those LIES KEEP COMING. AND YET ALMOST NONE from your side of the FENCE, will ask us WHAT WE BELIEVE and WHY? They SEEM TO EAGERLY WANT TO BELIEVE LIES.

Yes, those words of remorse are uttered by the first man, the Just one who falls seven times. He wets his pillow at night begging God for the power to stop that habit...I know that all to well. There is MERCY and FORGIVENESS for that man, amen and praise God!

But to the presumptuous man who claims to know the Lord but doesn't beat his chest in frustration, doesn't shed tears of remorse when he's blundered, has no intention of repenting of his sin but instead presumes upon God's grace and mercy, the Scriptures saith --

"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." Isaiah 66:18

"He that covereth his sin shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth adnd forsaketh them shall have mercy. " Proverbs 28:13 KJV

"Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and shall be innocent of the Great Transgression." Psalms 19:13 KJV

"He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination." Proverbs 28:9 KJV

He cannot.
If he did then he falls foul of quoting Jesus "Go sin no more"
If you admit you sin then you fall foul of the command of Jesus.

I'll do what some on here cannot bring themselves to do..

Openly admit that I am a sinner. I fall short of Jesus' commands.

BUT, I AM still saved, and still His child. :)

You are spreading a LIE, about OSAS TRUE FAITH. We Teach OBEDIENCE, as BEING PART OF AGAPE LOVE. It is not part of SALVATION. That Obedience is something that happens AFTER WE ARE SAVED. SALVATION HAPPENS before the beginning of time, as GOD's OMNISCIENCE is even includes knowledge that KNOWS EVERY DECISION YOU WILL MAKE IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE, therefore HE WROTE OUR NAMES in the BOOK OF LIFE Before the Foundation of the Earth. HE gave the free gift to us Spiritually before the Beginning of Time, and the WE receive IT in our Human Spirit the very moment we FIRST GENUINELY BELIEVE, Trusting HIM TOTALLY AS LORD, and it is when we were first Born Again Spiritually. AND INSTANTLY OUR NEW BORN HUMAN SPIRIT HAS ETERNAL LIFE. SALVATION ONLY APPLIES TO OUR HUMAN SPIRIT. SANCTIFICATION is a SEPARATE EVENT, and IT APPLIES TO OUR BODY separate from SALVATION. It is a Process where the AGAPE LOVE, that GOD POURED INTO the OUR HUMAN SPIRIT, Rom. 5:5; and it WILL come out of us in our DEEDS, of Agape LOVING GOD, and Others. OBEDIENCE is Part of AGAPE LOVE, and it will influence our SANCTIFICATION.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

We believe that verse LITERALLY.

So now you should see that LIE, you have been spreading is NOTHING BUT A LIE!

What does GOD THINK of People Who Spread LIES ? ? ? IT IS BAD FRUIT, and IS NOT FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT, listed in GAL. 5:22-23.

And I doubt if you have ever TRULY Been Born Again.
JESUS SAID, "By their FRUIT YOU SHALL KNOW THEM."
Your confusion of SOUND DOCTRINE, seems to verify that this verse applies to you:

1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (NIV)
12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
If that's what you're teaching, than it seems to me to be a misreading. We are saved by the obedience of faith. The two are inseperable Abraham's faith was in his obedience to God's commands, Moses' faith was in obedience to God's leading, David's faith was in obedience to God's judgment. Faith is not simply acceptance of a set of facts, otherwise demons would be saved. It's not even doing what God commands, otherwise Balaam would be righteous. You're imposing a modern definition of faith onto the text and if that's the faith you have it's not the faith that justifies.

Slight correction: we are saved by GRACE through faith. Not by obedience of faith. :)
