I know this will get me in hot water again....

John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

The law is about Christ, and is a shadow of things to come. So in my view Moses wrote the law as received from God.
But, this has to be considered in context:

(John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.)

The Law of Christ is not the Law of Moses.

Wonder what he'll say to Christ about "oophs, I didn't hold onto the salvation you gave me as a free gift."
Why are you exempt from having to hold on to faith?

"19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith." - 1 Timothy 1:19

The God I worship is the sum of all patience and love. Made aware of his righteousness by him, out of love I try to be perfect, out of the God given faith I possess I trust I am righteous through christ because he deems it so.

I think his heart is in the right place in that he honors Jesus, but sadly he has things twisted. He puts too much “self” into salvation.
You need to share this scripture with me that says continuing in the believing you started out in is you trying to save yourself.
I never expected to see the day in the church when 'believing' would become a work of the damnable works gospel.

But Lightskin says that's 'self'.

If Jesus cannot sustain your salvation then you’re placing the emphasis upon yourself. It’s not rocket science, judge.

I still do not understand ... are you referring to the 613 laws?

Are you stating we are under those laws?
The law does not only consist of 613 laws. There is a whole Torah we need to read and understand that it is a shadow of Christ to come.

Everything in the Torah is about Christ, we just need to know where to look.

The law is a shadow of Christ to come.
(Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect)

Needs to be understood in context of the offerings/sacrifices which was was stated earlier:

(Heb 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing)

(Heb 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience)

(Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation)

Christians now have access to the holiest through Christ - this is what the shadows pertained to.

While that old temple stood, there was no access to the holiest and this pertains to what John in his revelation said:

(Rev 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled)

The above pertains to the seven plagues delivered upon Israel during the war of 66-70AD - Christ was the exception to John's "no man was able to enter".

So, how do we get to heaven? What will we do exactly when we get there? What kind of body will we have? What will our new names be?
As christ said, you search the scriptures for salvation and the scriptures are about me.
You grasp with a finite mind (an enemy of the holy spirit) out of fear and profit. It's not a pouring over scriptures until your best conclusion of the truth suffices your conscience, no it's a understanding of the scriptures through the spirit of truth.
What happened to "rely not on your own understanding, but IN ALL WAYS acknowledge the Lord".
Before our salvation or anything else comes the glory of God. I highly doubt he puts his perfect will and eternal glory in the hands of a finite, sin filled, imperfect being for a nanosecond.
It is all of God...everything, from before your existence and after you're gone.
How much say so did you have coming into this fallen world? You now think you have the right or any part choosing your external destination? Whose domain is it? You have no rights treading into God's presence on your own accord.
My God what's wisdom screaming at you...obviously notta.

Unfortunately this is true of all parties involved on CC. You do not mention the word law because then you have to do works to enter the Kingdom. Mention Leviticus and you open a can of worms. Thing is we all have truths and if we accommodate each other’s views we might come to the conclusion that we are actually agreeing more than we disagree. Satan is using this thread and website to sow discord amongst God’s followers and even if we are not doing it purposefully we are sometimes guilty of fitting the bill.

Even Peter was an instrument of that when Jesus rebuked him Matthew 16:23.

God bless friends
Not sure why we are talking about the Torah?

I countered your accusation that this thread was sowing discord.
There is only one Gospel and only Christ Jesus.
That is the point of this thread.

So if there is discord it is the result of false teachers teaching otherwise.

I am not sure how you can disagree with this.

Gentiles will be cut off when the fullness has come in, when God sees that the Gentiles are no longer believing the gospel. Why continue to reap when there’s nothing left to reap?

Continuing in his kindness?
perhaps the sign of Lot's wife, who was carried away by the hand of angels in salvation from the coming destruction & changed to become salt, will be a sign to Israel when the Bride is snatched away. perhaps in the time of Jacob's trouble he will return and believe, when that which restrains is no longer restraining.

could it be this - ?

‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying,
“Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” ’

Everybody knows Jesus sustains salvation. The question is, how do you access His sustaining power? Use scripture please.
