When people in the Bible study room argue over stupid things.
When people are sad because they failed a test.
When a girl is sad because the boy she liked turned her down.
When people complain about gas prices.
When people try to start fights out of nothing.
When people try to start fights with those that are trying to start a fight.
When someone, just because you don't see eye to eye, says that you must not be a true Christian.
The list goes on and on.
Tonight at youth group, where I'm a youth leader, many things came up about doubting God. And after today, I am having trouble with this very thing.
My mom goes in tomorrow to have an ultrasound. She may have cancer.
Two kids in the youth group have a mutual friend that is in a coma and isn't doing well.
Some sisters have a mom that is schizophrenic and not expected to live out the rest of 2011.
I found out that a girl just recently lost her mom a few years back. She's still struggling.
A boy is frightened that his parents might spilt. He thinks it's his fault.
A girl got attacked last week by a few guys she thought were her friends.
The list goes on and on.
Why do we argue over the little things? Life is so short. There are other things to worry about. Pick your battles. Before tonight I thought that things were going alright. I was wrong. There is so much crap out there and it's so difficult to trust that God is in control, but I know He is. He is sovereign. He will help me through this. He will help all of us through everything if we let Him.
So, that's my rant.
Evaluate whether your fights are worth continuing.
If not, shut up. There are other people struggling with real issues.
