Is the serpent referenced in Genesis Satan? Is there evidence for this?

It's not sufficient when there are DIFFERENT AUTHORS. That's like me writing a book and adding it to the Bible, and using that to project a meaning onto what Moses said
That would actually be very bold of someone to write something and add it to THE WORD of GOD and try to pass it off as authorized by GOD....

Sure. It comes down to what you accept as true, and who you accept as an authority, and where you place your faith.

That's the most honest answer I've received in this thread

I'm trolling because I look to THE BIBLE not the teachings of any other body?
Why do you look to the Bible for answers if mere men wrote it, uninspired of/by God?

I agree. I'm looking at you, Paul of Tarsus.
Paul was definitely being led and taught by CHRIST, everything that Paul wrote, revealed all the symbols and signs and shadows which throughout the OT spoke and pointed to CHRIST...

Paul a Jew of Jews, who knew the law, and the temple practice, was given great wisdom and insight into SPIRITUAL SECRETS that pointed to CHRIST...

Even Peter would remind you that Paul was hard to understand....but Peter understood him...and so do many, born and led by THE SPIRIT....even today...

I asked you first. Do you understand how that works? Answer my question, then you can ask your own.
I did answer your question, unless I missed one you directed at me. Could you point it out if that is the case? You seem convinced it is.

I don't agree with that presumption
Which part is a presumption? That you look to the Bible for answers? Or that you reject the Bible as being inspired by the Holy Spirit of God? You have claimed that multiple men wrote it, seeming to reject the idea that there is One Author behind it all...

It's not sufficient when there are DIFFERENT AUTHORS. That's like me writing a book and adding it to the Bible, and using that to project a meaning onto what Moses said

The serpent referenced in Genesis is Satan...or rather, satan manifested himself in the body of that serpent/snake...and deceived man, whom he initially was supposed to be the guardian and covering angel to
