Is the serpent referenced in Genesis Satan? Is there evidence for this?

He did not contradict Jesus, Buffy...He expounded beautifully, the meaning of the TRUE PROMISED ¨LAND¨ and ¨INHERITANCE¨ which GOD was speaking of from the beginning...but had been kept a mystery...and could not be revealed until the fullness of time had come..

CHRIST gave Paul such understanding into the HIDDEN MYSTERIES which can only be known by CHRISTŚ SPIRIT so magnificently at work in Paul

Not to mention that the issue is not what she wears elsewhere, even if it is absolutely nothing at all.

The issue is what is appropriate apparel (for a woman'a avatar) on a Christian site.

Heh, this reminds me of a couple that joined some time ago... the woman was indignant that people pointed out how inappropriate her avatar pic was, but then some of both the husband and wife's posts came across like swingers looking for partners :oops::giggle::geek:

I was answering, in too few words, that people often think John the Apostle is the author of The Book of Revelation, since a poster answered the OP’s question from Revelation about the serpent in Genesis and the OP had brought up John the Apostle.

If a person does not know that Christ in them, they have failed the test:

2 Corinthians 13:5. Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?

The only manuscript that counts and where the Old Testament even comes from is the Torah. And the Torah, like the Aramaic in the New Testament when Eshu (Jesus) said He saw ... fall as lightning is the word, "Adversary."

So the serpents name, the devil's name, the dragons name, even the name used as Satan is "the Adversary." Because he is the Adversary to our belief and God!
