200,000 are dead. That is substantial. That is more than what usually dies from a virus this time of year.
worldwide?

Take a look
COVID-19: Approximately 184,268 deaths reported worldwide; 46,785 deaths in the U.S., as of Apr. 23, 2020.*
Flu: 291,000 to 646,000 deaths worldwide; 12,000 to 61,000 deaths in the U.S. per year.

Substantial...definately
Normal for a virus?
Yep.

The propaganda has a fear focus beyond reality.
So folks default into "you get it you die...it is way way worse than anything we have ever seen before"

We are duped into it through propadanda

Look guys
Hospitals never had a MANDATE to falsely label virus type deaths.

Now they took away ALL BUSINESS from hospitals to focus on a projected mass kill off that never happened!!!!!

About the only thing floating them is to label EVERY POSSIBLE DEATH/SICKNESS AS CORONA.

What if...
What if they engineered it to get rid of the segment of society that is inconvenient?
Elderly and health compromised/sickly?

Abortion of yet another segment of society.

No reason for Job to be mad. Jonah did have an issue as he did not consider Ninevah worthy of the mercy of God.

For the cause of Christ

Just a silly assumption, we do care, we care about all lives and everything people are going through.

But not getting my nails done is not a mental health issue.
Sorry but this is a terribly lazy non sequitur. It’s like a Single Doritos chip that gives you a second of pleasure and then meaninglessly gone, only to have the negative effects of a bad diet get you later. Really beneath someone of your intellect.

This is not about getting your nails done. Just how insensitive can a person be!
This is about the depressed person taking their life because of extreme isolation. This is about a hundred year family business that won’t survive because they are not allowed to operate. This is about people standing in food distribution lines because they simply don’t have the money, because they are prevented from earning.

This is about the slow suicide of drug and alcohol that sometimes isn’t that slow. This is about the health of multitudes of people that have to wait for medical treatment deemed “ non life threatening “ even though a very scant few hospitals are at capacity.

This is about the mother led away in handcuffs in front of her 6 yr old daughter for having the audacity to take her to the park. This is about police drones circling overhead to enforce social distancing.

This is about the massive number of foreclosures that will lead to more death and misery. This is about the wife or girlfriend that is being abused and feels trapped to get out. And at least a million.other horrific stories like those.

So yes. Those who keep pushing these lockdowns, are either heartless, fear mongers who not only want to imprison themselves over their fear, but everybody else, or the willfully ignorant.

If we Christians can’t even show compassion and empathy for all those people, we are indeed in a sorry state.

Flu death figure is per year. Covid death figure is based on 1 to 2 months. Bad comparison.

we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves.

that would mean all of them.

we have to take everyone into account, not just a certain few, and the heck with the rest of them..

Well when I offer something serious no one pays attention anyway to facts and ideas on a complex situation and revert to black and white postures then .. I am lazy and non sequitur.

Yes, I agree, let us all go about our business open everything up, like you said people die everyday.

However, I think government should have taken a quick census, create a huge database, those who wanted no lock down of any sort... give up any and all rights to medical treatment.

I think that is completely fair.

see, this is the fear based mentality that is led us here.

read this slow- if we do not start going back to work, the economy will collapse . will collapse.

so, are we going to stay locked down to try to avert something that MIGHT be a bad thing, or try to go back out, and avert something that WILL be really bad??

I do not want anyone to get sick and die.

but, I have friends who are out of a job , and friends who are in pain and need surgery, but can't get it.

those people count too.

love our neighbors as ourselves. not just some of them. all of them.

Why haven't Fauci, Birx, Gates and Soros been locked up already? Why are these scoundrels being given a public forum to mislead everyone, when they all should be behind bars?
Watch this , the hammer is coming down now on Dr Fauci .. Trump knew and set the trap is what I say ..

I never stated anything of the sort.

I am speaking to when the virus first came to these shores.

You continue to misunderstand everything I write.
I really need to leave this thread.
I really suggest you read up on the pandemic of 1918. and every other pandemic for that matter.

Where is the compassion for the sick and the front line workers of all ages???

You want no lock down, not sure if you mean that all along or just now, and somehow you think people with mental health issues will do better under that scenario.
People dropping dead in the streets is always good for mental health. This is still happening in China and did in fact happen in Italy.

The virus left unchecked would have done just as much economic damage, I have looked at even the more optimistic projections, that is something you do not want to accept.
Dead people cannot carry an economy.

Having said that the Bubonic Plague killed all most 1/3 of the population of where it struck.. and the economy did great after that, the dead cleared the way for more jobs for others, so yes lets look at the bright side of things for sure.

Again I am done.
If you see me here again tell me to leave, please I beg you!

No. It’s stupid. Not fair. But I’d be perfectly cool with giving freedom loving, non fearful people a place of their own.

I actually just called the Governor’s office in South Dakota to congratulate her on her awesome stance. The woman who answered was kind and thankful and said she and her fellow Dakotans were plenty happy with her as well.

Oh. And I called my Governor’s office only to be automatedly transferred to the Pa dept of health, pot dispensaries division.
