I see you have a lot of great movies that I also like. If you haven't seen them yet, see the TV series "A Band of Brothers", a WWII historical series that follows a real combat unit from basic training to the end of the war in Europe. I would put on par with "Saving Private Ryan". There are short interviews with the actual people involved as well.

Only seen a few of these....I did like Forrest Gump; I liked Gladiator but not enough to be on my top 10; I don't think I've seen any of the others.

I LOOOVVVVEEEED Neverending Story; but as an adult now I couldn't justify putting it in my top 10...maybe in a top 10 cheesy movie it would make the cut lol.

Enemy at the Gates was really good too. About a Russian and a German sniper play a game of cat-and-mouse during the Battle of Stalingrad.

I like movies rich in history.

Not to rain on the parade here.

Before becoming a believer in 2008 I was steeped in Hollywood Movies. I had a Home Theater (big screen TV, hundreds of movies, Digital Surround Sound) and frequented the theaters on a regular basis. Many of the movies that some have listed here would have been on my Top-10 back then as well.

In 2008 I completely forsook all these things. I have not watched a complete movie in many years now. Haven't been to the theater since around 2007. I no longer own movies or have a Home Theater set-up.

Home Theater was one of my passions and I even frequented a online Home Theater Forum back then.

I find no pleasure in these things anymore.

The word of God has now occupied my being in every way.

Not passing judgment. I just found this thread to be ironic.

lol you sound like my dad...he needs a big screen tv in every room, despite just him and my stepmom in the house? and yet I think they have 12 tv's in the house; they only use 3 I'm aware of.

I think this is more of a conscience thing on an individual basis; certainly media in any form does tend to give way to idolatry in today's society.

I do like the Keira Knightly one :) But I prefer the original BBC “episodes”.
Ahhh yess yess, the movie was tolerable; but the BBC's stayed truer to the Austenian novels.
lol actually personally I can't handle the true blue British style television, it just confuses me more than anything. Then again, I'm pretty sure being a man has left me unable to comprehend anything Jane Austen writes lol.
