How? God changing His mind is not lying. I know this cuts your theology in half, but...change your theology to align with Scripture.
He doesn't change his mind. His plan is perfect. You say he didn't get it right the first time = zero basis for faith in God.

His original plan for Nineveh was to overthrow them. Why didn’t He overthrow them like He said He was going to do?

Btw, changing your mind does not mean you “didn’t get it right the first time.” Rather, we understand God’s grace and mercy when He changes His mind as man responds to His word.

What makes you think it was his plan? His plans never fail. What you see was his plan.

God’s word was told to Nineveh, “yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown.” Yet, when forty days was expired, God did not overthrow Nineveh.

Jonah 3
1 And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.
4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

But it wasn't overthrown. Why? because God used the threat to motivate them. They must have understood it as any normal person would. Repent or in forty days you are history.

You’re adding to God’s word. There was no...if you repent. The message was clear. God did not lie to motivate them to repent. God simply repented.

10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

So you think God is a liar? But won't admit you are in over your head understanding scripture in such cases?

Why do you keep asking this? Are you not reading my posts?

GOD DID NOT LIE!!!!!!!!!

God simply changed His mind. God has the authority to do that you know. But with your false view of God, the story of Jonah puts you in a quandary.

God cannot change his mind. If he does, nobody can have faith in him.

You’re giving human opinions on plain Scripture. I’m glad God changed His mind concerning me. I was an object of His wrath, but when I placed my trust in Jesus, He gave me everlasting life.

If you saved yourself, you are not saved. “For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;” Philippians 1:29 (KJV 1900)

I’m glad I didn’t save my self, but trusted in the only one who could save me...the Lord Jesus Christ!

But he had to save you before you could believe. It is "whoever believes is saved" not, "whoever Chooses to believe is saved".

It’s not, whoever is saved will believe.🤦‍♂️

You still have yet to explain the story of God and Nineveh. It perplexes you doesn’t it.

God uses means to control people. It's no different with the Ninevites. If he were to destroy them, why would they know about it unless to provoke repentance?

His original intentions were to overthrow them because of their wickedness. They repented, and God in turn repented.

2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

God caused them to repent. If he wanted to destroy them he wouldn't have used vocal means to affect the outcome.

More opinions of who you think God is contrary to what Scripture says. Please study more and throw away your man made theology. Believe what the Bible says.
