The ruler of the Jewish State was Prince Simon Bar Kokhba, and he ordered that the TEMPLE MOUNT be TORN DOWN because he considered the bedrock DEFILED because the ROMAN put a PAGAN TEMPLE on the TEMPLE SITE. He used the TEMPLE BEDROCK as ROCK QUARRY for a couple years to build a bridge to give people from the south ACCESS to Jerusalem, effectively lowering what was Mount Zion to ground level.
