I'm not pitting scripture against scripture.
I'm bringing scripture into harmony with itself by understanding verses and passages in the context of the whole of scripture.
There really is no end to the depths you will go is there?.......to deny even what is plainly obvious in scripture and peddle something that is not there.

Here it is again...

Hebrews 6 says you can't come back. The Galatians, the Corinthians, and Revelation 2 show us he gives space before he turns you over so you can't come back.
More riculousness ....

Like @dcontroversal stated I really think you would stand in front of Christ Jesus himself, the Author of the book and argue.

It has nothing to do with truth at all.

You cannot handle being WRONG and more importantly being shown you are wrong.... and your responses have become more absurd and yet you hunker down in them even more.

I have news for you Jesus will tell you were wrong.

@Judges1318 you would do well to know that "false professors" teach false doctrine ........ and are known by that false doctrine and their followers.

Actually, Jesus said they are known by if they bear fruit.

Back to the subject.
Is a believer still saved if they go back to unbelief?

believe- to think to be true, to be persuaded off, to place confidence in.

is doing that about Jesus as Lord and Savior sufficient for salvation?

Yes.
Pisteuo is what justifies.

In contrast to just pistis.
It's the difference between just knowing something is true, and actually putting your trust in it.
'Pistis' alone does not save.
'Pisteuo' does.

We know who has just 'pistis' and who has 'pisteuo' by the life they live.
We know who just knows about Jesus, and who actually knows Jesus by how they live.

so, on other words, you do not think that belief in Christ saves.

ok. you are free to think what you want.

you should not redefine words and manipulate Scripture, but you can if you wish.

I am moving on. I have a standard of truth, and that standard is not moveable.

you just redefine things how you wish. it is a waste of time to discuss things with someone who makes it up as they go along.

Just knowing that Jesus is the Christ is not enough to save anybody.
Even the demons know Jesus is the Christ.
Placing your trust in Jesus is what saves a person.

We know who just knows he's the Christ, alone, and who has placed their trust in Christ, by how they live.
Just knowing that Jesus is Christ won't solicit the indwelling Holy Spirit.
Believing/trusting in him for the forgiveness of sin does that.
That's how we can tell who just knows Jesus is the Christ and who actually trusts in him.
We know it by the Spirit in them changing them into the person who does the righteous works God has prepared beforehand for the righteous to do.

I do not know who you are or how you live.
I've just been sharing what the scriptures say.
You seem terribly convicted by them.
Don't get defensive. Take it to Jesus.
Fall on his mercy.

"‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
14“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God." - Luke 18:13-14

That's how I got saved.
I couldn't make the grade, so I asked for God's mercy and he forgave me and gave me a new life and set me free from my bondage to sin.

Psalm 4:2-4
[2] O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah. [3] But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him. [4] Stand in awe, and sin not

He that has ears to hear, let him hear!

Trusting in Christ is not a works salvation.
You wrote, “we know who just knows about Jesus, and who actually knows Jesus by how they live.” I thought you were talking about works with the second half of your statement.

@EleventhHour , dcontroversal says they are.
He cites 2 Timothy 2:13 as proof.
Do you agree with him?
I know you do, I just want you to confirm it again, please.
Not sure why you need to make it about if I agree with with @dcontroversal .. I am thinking that is part of your game to cause dissension.

I do find it repugnant how you give little emphasis to Christ and what He has done to secure the salvation of sinners through His all-sufficient work.

As well, yes I agree with him ... ultimately we not saved by the amount, quality, or how constant our faith is... but by the grace and faithfulness of the One in whom we initially trusted. "If we are faithless, He remains faithful; for He cannot deny Himself."

Like I stated before your belief is really "unbelief" because it is about YOU and what is required of YOU.

So you admit you’re a SINNER. Congratulations, you’re one step closer to achieving grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

i have found GRACE ( God's unmerited favour),and by faith,( Hebrews 11:1 Now FAITH is the substance of things hoped for,the evidience of things not seen.) I have BELIEVED Romans 6:6-8 Knowing this, that OUR OLD MAN ( NATURE)is crucified with Him,that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we SHOULD NOT SERVE SIN. For he that is dead is freed from sin.Now if we be dead with Christ,we BELIEVE that we shall also live with Him:

i am no longer a sinner but forgiven of my past sins,no longer a slave to sin but if I trespass and commit a sin,I have an advocate to confess to and forgive said sin.

Are you perfect in all your ways?

You started out as the man who asked for mercy. But now you have become the other man. The self righteous man who was thanking God that he was not like the other man who he deemed was a sinner/unsaved.

You started out right. And now that God has purified you and made you clean, through no effort of your own, you want to take His glory by tooting your own horn.

Humble thyself! Hypocrite. Liar. Humble thyself.

If you have made progress in overcoming some of your sinful ways. Then teach others how to do the same. But not to gain salvation, but rather to do the things that are pleasing in God sight.

God did not set you free from your sinful ways just so that you can show off on those struggling or who perhaps have not yet come to an accurate understanding.

God did not change you so that you can now spread lies, that you are saved by doing good works.

So if you don't know how to preach the gospel, then be quiet.

Tell me, when did God appoint you to go about, and say who is saved and who isn't?

Can you see into anyone's heart? Humble thyself and let God do His job. He does not require your assistance.
