Exactly....lookie lookie what I have done...I have maintained my faith because Jesus was to weak and ineffectual to do it! <--His dogma in a nutshell!
You don't seem to realize that it is in your doctrine that Jesus is to weak and ineffectual to maintain a person's faith.
Simple observation shows us that your new osas Christ hasn't been doing a very good job of maintaining the believing of his people.
Every failed believer, now ex-believer, that you say is still saved, is proof that Christ does not maintain the believer's trust in him for you.
If He did, He would do a much better job at it than your doctrine empirically shows him to be doing.

god promised we could never fail, because it is based on him not us

so yes, when you claim someone can fall you deny the promises.
Don't tell him, tell decontroversal and 11th hour!
They are the one's asserting that fallen believers are still saved.......fallen believers you say do not exist and deny the promises.

Explain to them that if the believers trusting was really up to Christ and not the responsibility of the believer, as you believe, He would do a much better job doing that than what we see happening in the church.
There would be no fallen believers to defend as still being saved if Christ was the one relieving us of the necessity to keep believing.

A believer can’t Continue in sin. John makes this clear in 1 John 3.
Exactly!
That's why I keep saying the person who enters into willful sin in Hebrews 10:26-29 is doing that because he no longer believes in Christ's blood. He is no longer a believer. If he was still a believer he would not be in the circumstances being condemned in the passage. The believer has the sacrifice of Christ remaining to cover his sin. It is the one who once believed in Christ but then turns his back on Christ in unbelief who has no sacrifice remaining to cover his sin and will burn in the Judgment to come.

"26If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire " - Hebrews 10:26

chastening does not fail. If it get to out of hand God just takes us home
No, God turns you over for the destruction of the flesh so that you may be saved.

"5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, a b so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord. " - 1 Corinthians 5:5

The mood of the verb 'saved' is Subjunctive. That means being saved as a result of being turned over to satan may or may not happen:

"the mood of possibility and potentiality. The action described may or may not occur, depending upon circumstances."
https://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/1co/5/1/t_conc_1067005

If it were true that this person was 'once saved always saved' he would not have to be turned over to the destruction of the flesh in the first place to be saved--he's supposedly already saved. But as it is, this person is to be turned over to satan and the destruction of the flesh to possibly be saved because he surely won't be saved when Jesus comes back in the state he's in now. Without this chastisement this person won't be saved. And depending on how he responds to being turned over to satan he still may not be saved when Jesus comes back.

Is all sin not willful?
No.
There is sinning because of being deceived.
There is sinning because of weakness.
There is sinning because of fear.
There is sinning because of ignorance.
And there is sinning out of just plain stupidity (Meh!).

Then there is sinning because you just don't give a crap about Christ and his forgiveness anymore in unbelief.
That is the sin that Hebrews 10 is talking about because that is the sin out of all those listed above for which there is no sacrifice for.
You can't have the benefit of a Sacrifice you no longer are trusting and believing in to cover your sin.
You have nothing left to look forward to but the fiery Judgment reserved for the enemies of God at the end of the age.

Haven't you been reading along?
I'm being told my continuing to believe in order to be saved when Jesus comes back is me trying to earn my own salvation through works.
I was referring to post 136,341.

A butterfly cannot go back to being a caterpillar... and a birth is once and not undone Jesus does not lie.

Amen.....and to be honest, rather disgusting when people that know the truth will enable false teachers while throwing Jesus, the truth and those that defend the truth under the bus!!

It’s hard for believers that have the same heart issues of the elder brother of the prodigal son to believe that Father would welcome His prodigal back home with great joy.......

They would rather believe that if a believer leaves the faith after being saved they cannot come back. However, the Father says they can!(y)
