I like the chart! It shows that when people receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, they can expect to speak with tongues. (as well as begining to operate in the other gifts like prophecy)

Thank you Jesus! \o/

I REALLY like this chart! It gets some things wrong, but it acknowledges what God gives with the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Would anyone like to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost? ASK God for it! He's willing to give it!

"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Luke 11:13
  • "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" -Matthew 3:11
  • "I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost." Mark 1:8
  • "John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: "- Luke 3:16 KJV
  • "And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost." - John 1:33 KJV
That's a promise that baptism in the Holy Ghost is available to ALL, written clearly in ALL 4 gospels.

Thank you JESUS!! \o/

HI all! I pray your all being BLESSED AMEN! Psa 4 I read it wow every night. Heres faith David starts "hear me when I call O God of my...".. then skip some verses .. the lord will hear when I call unto him. NT.. if we know He hears us then we know we have the petitions we asked for. What I was getting at.. something I said every day "you have put gladness in my heart".... in YOU!

I think some of us don't fully understand that GOD our Father will never ever go against our will. If you believe He never speaks but only by His word. Thats all He will for you. What I can't do or find is where it was ONLY for the 12 (with Paul). I find the holy Spirit talks.. its written. And that prophet that said.. the person that wares this belt... who told that prophet that? Yeah.. GOD! HELLO! How about the person that prayed for Saul now Paul? Not one of the 12. And they didn't have the BIBLE but the Torah and even then WHO was allow to have that around the house? :)

For me the oh sweet holy Spirit.. that asked if I wanted it.. I said yes.. they prayed.. stopped said you got it! I got up went to sit down and tongues just came out.. OH sorry but.. I can't even think what life would be with out it. So for me when I read PRAY in the holy Ghost.. pray in the spirit.. and Paul others that always pray in the spirit.. I KNOW what my Lord is talking about. Oh and testing God.. sorry but these GIFTS come from Him.. so its not the person one is testing but I see it as testing GOD! Its not like Gideon did.. saying ..please if you really want to me to go.. have the dew.. " Then the next day asked for God to do it a different way.

Ever notice.. its as if EVERYTHING with God has to be by faith? Oh and so many times He reaches down to our level and helps that in turn always helps our faith. So.. for me does GOD talk? Yeah.. I give you one.. I was in this pup. (Christian) and this crossed my mine "Behold I stand at the door and knock" I thought.. wow wonder what that is? "Rev 3:20".. I though.. huh? I must be guessing... so I look.. yeah.. I WAS so shocked.. I went to the other tables showing them. They were not as happy as I was.. Well I had never read the book of REV! That was just there are more..

I just like others here said.. God can't lie. So I read what He said.. not what so and so said they personally believe as truth.. no. I read what that book says.. if GOD JESUS HOLY SPIRIT is real...then EVERYTHING He said.. He will do. So sorry.. but believe that WORD not man. TRUTH is Christ.. there is no other.. I believe anyone seeking Truth finds Christ. So.. don't believe me. YOU ask.. and just BELIEVE.. not what you see hear feel.. by faith.. no matter how BRIGHT the day or DARK the night.. No matter what happens.. just stand.. HE can not fail nor lie.

I wanted to respond to more of your posts but a lot happened here in the short time I was gone apparently. You spoke of the baptism of the spirit and then mentioned that happy dance, this is exactly what happened to me when I was first saved. I begged God to come into my heart one night severely depressed and alone in the world I felt so uncared about unloved in my mind I didn't matter a waste of breath I honestly didn't care if I died and in that one final desperation begged him in my tears and woke up the next morning full of life like not energy but actual life itself I felt this holy fire inside me and all around me literally like a drop of something was dipped into my most inner being and then suddenly a blazing fire was alive in me .
Now something to know about me I am sooooo not a morning person the amount of coffee I need to wake up is crazy yet this morning I woke up like this so full of this life fire and joy that I instantly hopped out of bed and danced around my room XD

You are pointing out truth on this one. You are correct that it is only an assumption that they were Gentiles, it just says he found them while in Ephesus. It actually doesn't even say they were Ephesians. :)

I actually apologize for knowingly leveraging this assumption. I had a reason (though I question the purity of it) for doing it. I wanted to see if you would catch it.

Because IF you are keen enough to recognize that the bible doesn’t actually say they were Ephesians (only that he met them on his journey there) THEN you are also keen enough to recognize that 1 Cor 13:8 doesn’t actually say that the gifts have ceased (only that they will someday).

Further, 1 Cor. 13:10 does not state “that which is perfect has come” but rather “WHEN that which is perfect is come, THEN...”. It takes an assumption (or an update from God) to move from the biblically stated “it hasn’t happened yet” to the claim (of some) that “It has happened” And it also takes an assumption to call the bible “that which is perfect”.

And because you are keen enough to see these things, you cannot claim ignorance. Please consider that fact as you also know we will all stand before the Lord to give account of our actions.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby
I have said for some time now that the "perfect" is the completed word of God. There are many reasons why only the completion of the fits the fulfillment of 1 Cor 13:10.

The absence of the apostolic gifts of tongues, prophecy and knowledge in church history and the reemergence of them in recent history shows just how wrong the current misuse of these gifts have become. What is more abused in the modern church than these gifts that have clearly ended according to scripture.

Not true and not supported by scripture. People receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit when they become saved by grace through faith. It is not a secondary thing but the primary event in ones salvation.

More false teaching. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the new birth in Christ and is administered by God the moment we become saved. Your teaching an aberration that is of modern origin and clearly contradicts scripture.

I do agree that they are greatly misused today at a level that is very concerning but scripture doesn't say they ended. it does say that tongues will end but I haven't where it says when and I have personally been in the presence of both real and fake tongues. many fake only one real one. The gift of tongues is not suppose to be gibberish there is actual power in it and I experienced so much gibberish but only once was I in the presence of tongues that actually filled me. It is difficult to explain the experiences feeling it was like I didn't know what he was saying in my head but my soul knew and it was like a flow of God's spirit and power like a inner hand inside my soul or something.

And true signs and wonders that YOU don't see are just that, true signs and wonders that YOU didn't see.

Remember, there's a promise from Jesus that signs and wonders will FOLLOW the believers... And they get to DO them... but those that tried to force him to perform signs and wonders to satisfy their own lusts only got "A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. "

Remember which of us it was that was seeking signs from the other.

That's pretty much all I need to say on that matter.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby
As the chart shows, tongues and the rest came only through an Apostle's hands. (besides the two outpourings).

Yes exactly they are not what we present rather what he does through us, yet you keep asking for proof of such things when proof is not what you lack. I walk in the gift of prophecy but I only do so according to the spirits leading. I do not prophesy a thus saith the lord rather the gift of prophecy is not what most people think it is far more than visions and dreams and proclaiming a prophetic word and it also doesn't make one a prophet

Had I not been severely damaged by so called prophets on youtube I don't know if I ever would have understood this lesson and yes the gift of the holy spirit is the first gift given however the gifts of the spirit as you so relentlessly refute are given to us by him according to his will and word.
The proof is what you lack. No miracles, no gifts.

I think you are forgetting the basis of faith, we don't believe because we see. I mean have you seen God's face? but you believe in him yes?
I have not seen the miracle of healing nor have I ever received it no matter how much I pray for it and others pray for me to recieve it yet I believe in fully regardless not because I have seen or experienced but because of what I have come to know of God.
The propblem is you are trying to see and validate the gifts with the eyes of the world not through God's eyes and because of this you have hardened your heart and even if God wanted to show you the turhth to them maybe even experience them you would not see it and refuse it.
Do you think that I have not been damaged by such people? Or that I long to see and experience them but only see fake imitations?
If you cannot produce examples of verified miracles happening today, you are not proving your point.

I don’t know of one Christian that truly perform miracles that boast about them… if they do it is show business
But where are they? You don't see them anywhere, even with video/phone technology.

There are many videos of miracles taking place but in my view if you stand around with your phone waiting for miracles then you are busy with show business. I don’t know of one Godley inspired child of God that wants to be a YouTube sensation.

Do you then also don't believe in demon possession?

They were casting demons out before Pentecost. Anyone can do it in Jesus' name. Even those Jesus tells to depart, he never knew them.
