Yes you're looking for a physical kingdom where Jesus literally sits on David's throne in that God forsaken place they call Israel.
I could effortlessly quote at least two dozen Scriptures where God declares that Israel will no longer be forsaked and will be fully redeemed forever. There are many more. But since you believe that the Scripture has been broken....its a waste of time.

So tell me, when the Jews rebuild the Temple, what will be your excuse to deny the Scriptures regarding the GT then?

BTW....hating Jews and Israel is potentially spiritually fatal. Just to let you know.

So tell me...are we nearing the end times? Or have they already passed? Pls post a few Scriptures to support your assertions if you care.

The problem with Polycarp statement in the Greek

Welcome back K16
Check out the thread. The preterists were skunked. Batting zero. Wiffed out. Clueless. Never posted so much as one verse. All of the serious bible scholars on this thread were ALL pre-trib premillenialists. And we provided a boatload of iron-clad Scripture that proved our case conclusively beyond refutation.

Ok you're thinking just like one of the Jews of 2000 years ago. Those Jews didn't understand that there are two types of Israel's in scripture, so they saw their own rebellious, God hating, Christ killing, selves as God's chosen people.... AND YOU AGREE with them. You think exactly the way they thought.

The Jews rebuilding a temple has absolutely nothing to do with scripture.

I don't hate the Jews or any other group of people, I just call them what they are, Rebellious, God hating, Christ killers. What blows my mind is that you worship them. Why?

You will find out when they build it, trust me. The wise already know. Lucky me!

(Rom 9:6) Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
(Rom 9:7) Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
(Rom 9:8) That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Why can't you understand those verses?

You're worshipping the "not all Israel" group of Israel... those ARE NOT God's chosen people.
You're worshiping the PHYSICAL SEED of Abraham, the ones who ARE NOT the children of God.
You're worshiping the CHILDREN OF THE FLESH - these ARE NOT the children of God.

How much more plainer would God have to say it for you to understand?
Your stance blasphemes God and his true chosen people.
You chose the antichrist Jews over the true Israel of God.

And you think my theology is messed up.

You're not a wise (by a long shot) nor as lucky as you think you are, you are on the opposite side of God.

Fascinating but true, geniune Christians know the counterfeits as well know as the Apostle John did back then. And they absolutely know the wiles of the devil and false doctrine. And you know as well as I that it IS INDEED supernatural discernment!

And for you, as of yet you have not posted ONE SOLITARY VERSE! Why? Because your own opinion is what matters. And your endless criticism is vapid, feedble, and the words of a mere man.

The truth is....the premillenial pretrib commentation BLEW THE PRETERISTS and Idealists out of the water. It was truly a rout. But thats the way it goes when you foolishly contend with the Word.
Here's the only verse needed to trump your rump:

Matthew 24:34 Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

Thats all you've got? That one verse proving preterism? You have been smoked on this thread. The wise shone like stars, and they were all pretrib premillenialists. It wasn't even close. The preterists took it on the chin this go around. As did the replacement theology heretics.

Did I claim to try to prove preterism? No. You attribute motives and intentions and beliefs like grapeshot, but, like grapeshot, your accuracy is deplorable.

So says Dino the almighty trial judge on this thread? All I ever hear from you is about someone's motivations and someone's attitude. You strain out a gnat and swallow a camel. Quite frankly I'm still waiting to hear your rebuttals to my posts that indicate that 70 A.D. has nothing whatsoever to do with the GT. From you or anybody else for that matter. You see Dino, you know you are in the wrong, and been proven so beyond any shadow of a doubt....FROM THE SCRIPURE. And not just because I "just say so".

I agree it was a judgment. Possibly a type also. But one of the primary reasons for the GT is the ultimate final redemption of Israel. Lets not forget that. Where we disagree is about the Rapture. I firmly believe that Scripture is quite clear that we will not experience Gods wrath during the GT.
The rapture happens between the sixth and seventh trumpet which is the last mentioned in Revelation. The elect are not on earth when the bowels of wrath are unleashed but do undergo persecution by the Antichrist. John sees a vision of those under the alter
who have been beheaded and a numberless crowd in heaven that have come out of the tribulation. I believe that the persecution
of believers intensifies when the Antichrist sits in the Jerusalem Temple and declares himself God. Earthly Jerusalem in Revelation is portrayed as a Harlot dressed in the fabric colours of the Tabernacal and clothing of a Jewish High Priest with one colour missing. that colour is Blue. Blue represented holiness and purity. The spiritual names of Jerusalem in Revelation are Egypt and Sodom. It is also
called the great City. Another place in Revelation called that great City is Babylon. Its because in Revelation Jerusalem and Babylon the Great are spiritually the same place. Another interesting pointer is in Matthews Gospel it mentions mountains associated with
Jesus' ministry seven times but Il leave that for now.

I've never heard of Amill.
who is he/she?

I wouldn't say I'm a follower of preterism.
I think there are many varieties of it.
some aspects of it make a lot of sense to me.

Just out of curiosity, which varieties of preterism appeals to you?

I disagree, I think we often hide things from ourselves.
We do indeed lie to ourselves quite often, but lying to yourself is not changing who you are. And hiding only means you are aware of who you are but refuse to accept it.

what do you mean by "idealisms"?
is it the same as "ideals"?

I agree that things are ingrained into us as children.
but I also think the mind is highly malleable, and can be reprogrammed if a person honestly desires to do so.
and yes, this is something that God is often involved with!

The difference between your mind and a program that was input for a computer, is that your mind still will recall things you have tried to remove.

Do something useful while you're waiting. :)
