Wrong. Presently, the Church ONLY has received Jesus as King.
Not the gentiles, not Israel. Israel will only receive King Jesus per Hos 5:15, at the end of the GT. For the futurist, Scripture is a breathtakingly complete tapestry. And satisfyingly confidence-inspiring.
Yes I agree that the church is the only ones to ever receive Jesus as their king, that's why they're the church.

(1Pe 2:9) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
(1Pe 2:10) Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Peter talking to JEWS that came to Christ, calling them a royal priesthood, an holy nation, which in TIMES PAST were not God's people, not a royal priesthood, not an holy nation chosen by God.

You guys make the same mistakes over and over. All Israel IS NOT of Israel.
Rightly divide the audience my friend. Peter’s audience is indeed the Jews but the Jews coming out of the tribulation. During the Church age, they were not a people, for God had temporarily cut them off. But at the second advent, they will once again be a holy people unto God.

Do you deny the clear reading of Deuteronomy?

The "Future" generation that will witness Daniel's abomination Matthew 24:15 and the Great Tribulation Matthew 24:21

It's impossible to gave a 70AD great tribulation and Jesus returning in the clouds 2,000 years later and waiting Matthew 24:29-30 "Immediately after thus tribulatuon"
How do you rationalize THIS GENERATION being anything other than the generation present before Jesus at the time he said it?

I'm not going to argue with a person who believes in 5 different gospels. Sorry but it's pointless.

The subtlies, vagaries, vicissitudes of those passages totally escape you....tragically. All the coaching in the world cannot help. The reason? You are mired in the pit of preterism and amillenialism.

I hear what you're saying, I see it differently.

I believe it is well established in psychology that a person can write something and then believe that it did not come from them.

and maybe it did, maybe it didn't.

it's one theory of how Ouija boards work, for example.

but this point, we've drifted into psychology.
is there a Bible topic you want to talk about related to preterism?
not at all. it's very possible that John the apostle did write revelation about 95 ad.

I don't know that the book of Revelation does talk about things that happened in 70 ad.

well, which events are still too come is a matter of interpretation, imo.

but God's word is always relevant!

I can see you're not a true follower of preterism, only an admirer of specific definitions. At first, your answers made it seem you were. But this recent/current post proves otherwise. I can only assume then you were playing the fence here, basically reading answers from all views and just going with the flow.

What you’re really saying is that you don’t believe the words of the Bible. This generation only means this generation when it lines up with your theology.

Juggling the fact of there being Jews, gentiles and the Church, as well as two unconditional covenants may make your head feel like its going to explode. But you are going to have to deal with it regardless. And the Scriptures are utterly perfect and complete in dealing with all of this.

And there’s only one gospel and it’s the same gospel that was preached to Abraham.

Correct. (Glad we can agree on one point, anyway! Woohoo!)

So where Matt24:15 says, "Therefore when ye shall see [the AOD]...," the "ye" here is a "proleptic 'you/ye'," meaning, "those in the future, OF THE SAME CATEGORY"... and in this context, that means, "THOSE TO WHOM the promised and prophesied earthly Millennial Kingdom" was promised. (The ID of which is not [pertaining to]"the Church WHICH IS HIS BODY" / US. ;) [ppl have a bad habit of reading themselves/'the Church which is His body' INTO every passage they read--THIS passage/context is not speaking of it/this])

2 obvious thoughts here:

1) Christ meant the Generation He was speaking to at that moment

2) Christ meant the Generation for when these other events are to take place

The issue however, in Matthew 24, Christ is clearly speaking about 2 events. 1 to come sooner than later, one to come much later. The key here is simple. Christ knew about the 70 AD event and foretold of it. But for the final 7 year Tribulation, Christ said no one knew but the Father when that day would come. Therefore, it's easy to deduct from Matthew 24 what pertains to 70 AD and what pertains to what Revelations speaks about. One event, Jesus had full knowledge of and could determine which Generation. The other event He clarifies He does not know when it will take place.

But for us as putting the puzzle together, we can clearly see the difference between both events.

Matthew 24:

9 Then they will deliver you unto afflictions, and they will kill you, and you will be hated by all Nations because of My Name.

^
We know this is not 70 AD because only Rome, the leadership, hated the Believers and attacked Jerusalem.

This verse clarifies that ALL NATIONS will hate us, which indicates another event beyond 70 AD

This is 7 year Roman-Jewish War. 70AD is just the beginnings of the tribulation.
The Romans made desolate Jerusalum, destroying the temple and ending sacrifices.
Fits like hand to glove. It is even more clear when looking at Luke 21:20 where Jesus refers to surrounding armies which are the roman armies, and that the desolation is a reference to Daniel 9:27

Luke 21:20
When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.

sure if you insist the tribulation is only 7 yrs. But the tribulation is not only 7 years. We are still in the tribulation so Justin Trudeau's disdain for christians is part of the tribulation.

Daniel 9:26 says (in its SEQUENTIAL passage), "desolaTIONS [plural] are determined."

The 70ad events ("the desolation [singular] thereof") is just ONE of those PLURAL "desolaTIONS".

However, when Jesus spoke of "the abomination [singular] of desolation [singular] spoken of by Daniel the prophet..." (Matt24:15), He uses the singular purposely, because He is specifically referring to that which is referred to in Dan12:11 "the abomination [singular] which maketh desolate SET UP [H5414]"
