Daniel 9:26 says (in its SEQUENTIAL passage), "desolaTIONS [plural] are determined."

The 70ad events ("the desolation [singular] thereof") is just ONE of those PLURAL "desolaTIONS".

However, when Jesus spoke of "the abomination [singular] of desolation [singular] spoken of by Daniel the prophet..." (Matt24:15), He uses the singular purposely, because He is specifically referring to that which is referred to in Dan12:11 "the abomination [singular] which maketh desolate SET UP [H5414]"
Daniel 9:26
After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ (A) the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. (B) The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. (C) The end will come like a flood: (D) War will continue until the end, and (E) desolations have been decreed.

Interpretation of Daniel 9:26
(A) This is the Crucifixion of Jesus.

(B) The people of the ruler are the Romans who will come will destroy the city, which is Jerusalem and the sanctuary, which is the 2nd temple.

(C) The end This is the end for Jerusalum being God's Holy City. will come like a flood (this is a metaphor for war, the Roman-Jewish war).

(D) War will continue to the end, meaning that the tribulation will started around 64 AD and will continue until the end which is still to future.

(E) desolations have been decreed points to Daniel 9:27, which reiterates what is said in Daniel 9:26 but also expands further on it.

Daniel 9:27 is also talking about the Roman-Jewish War, but then says that Jerusalum will be remain desolate, and the antichrist will finally be destroyed.

So the anti-christ was present in 70AD and he has been present ever since. He was the succession of Roman Emperor and then switched over to the succession of Roman Pontiff.

2 obvious thoughts here:

1) Christ meant the Generation He was speaking to at that moment

2) Christ meant the Generation for when these other events are to take place

The issue however, in Matthew 24, Christ is clearly speaking about 2 events. 1 to come sooner than later, one to come much later. The key here is simple. Christ knew about the 70 AD event and foretold of it. But for the final 7 year Tribulation, Christ said no one knew but the Father when that day would come. Therefore, it's easy to deduct from Matthew 24 what pertains to 70 AD and what pertains to what Revelations speaks about. One event, Jesus had full knowledge of and could determine which Generation. The other event He clarifies He does not know when it will take place.

But for us as putting the puzzle together, we can clearly see the difference between both events.
Mat 10:23 (KJV) But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

How do you push this one 2000 years in the future? Jesus told the disciples that he would return before those 12 people sitting in front of him could travel to all the cities of Israel.

Technically, as a Believer and follower of Christ, the tribulation began at conversion. But the Tribulation where the antichrist claims to be God is yet to come.
Anti-christ is already here. The anti-christ was here in 70AD, and has been here ever since.
He was the succession of Roman Emperor, which then switched over to the succession of Roman Pontiff.

I want to serve a God who wants to deal with His Creation until His Will has been completed.

From the preterist viewpoint, it seems like a waste of time to continue living for God!
We have already entered the promise land, we’re enjoying the kingdom of heaven that Jesus brought when he came. It’s hardly a waste of time.

Sorry, my Post #720 (you quoted) was aimed at Neb's Post #715 (not your intervening posts, which it may APPEAR I was addressing simply b/c I typed slowly, and several posts popped up b/f I was finished. LOL).

He had said:

My post #720 was speaking to THAT.

(Dan9:26 "desolaTIONS are determined")
Desolations????

YES there was a first, second and third Roman-Jewish War, and then Jews were slaughtered in Jerusalum during the Crusades. Yes, history shows multiple DESOLATIONS of Jews in their home land.

Roman Jewish Wars
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish–Roman_wars

Seige of Jerusalum 1099
The siege is notable for the mass slaughter of Muslims and Jews perpetrated by the Christian crusaders, which contemporaneous sources suggest was savage and widespread
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Jerusalem_(1099)

LEARN YOUR HISTORY!!!! You cannot understand prophesy until you match it with the historical record!!!!

1) The antichrist was the Roman Emperor. HE oversaw the Roman Jewish Wars that decimated or made desolate the Jews.
Desolations!!!!!
2) The antichrist was then the Roman Pontiff. HE oversaw the crusades that decimated or made desolate the Jews.
Desolations!!!

Jordan Shoots, He Scores, and that is the GAME!!!!!!!!

And yet, 10 of those were murdered and 1 lived until 100 AD and no coming of Yeshua.

Where in the chronicles of every historian that claims Christ returned?

The antichrist is a "spirit," not a man. That spirit can live within a man. But that spirit one day will be a real demonic being who will possess powers that will make people believe he is God. Tell me of any man in history, outside of Christ Himself, who has shown such powers? Since there has never been a second to possess such powers, that means there is that still to come.

Can the Pope say to the waters, depart, and the waters disappear?

NOPE!

He, or anyone like him ain't the true Antichrist!

Sure Jesus came back just like he said he would. He died went to hell and came back with all power and glory. And he did it before the 12 disciples went to all the cities of Israel

V.24 "... and they shall be led away captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem shall be TRODDEN DOWN OF the Gentiles UNTIL..."

[the Dan9:24-27 prophecy DOES pertain to "thy [Daniel's] HOLY CITY" (i.e. "Jerusalem")--I never denied such a thing, and I am aware of the "history" ;) ]

V.32's "till ALL be fulfilled" necessarily INCLUDES all of the items in verse 24, just mentioned (including its "UNTIL" issue!) prior to the words in v.32 ("ALL"--"till ALL be fulfilled" includes the items in v.24, based on the placement of the wording found in v.32, coming AFTER v.24!). ;)

If this was the true "Heaven on Earth" experience, I hardly doubt there would still be death, sickness, or that demonic power would still exist.

How can evil exist in the Kingdom of God?

Hahahaha you are using the Death-Burial-Resurrection as the Second Coming of Christ?

The Second coming from Paul's view (who claimed what he wrote/spoke/taught came from Jesus in Heaven Himself) claimed the dead would rise and meet Christ and those alive would would be gathered.

So, how does Jesus ascend and leaves those in the Grave and those alive on Earth and be classified as the Second Coming?

The kingdom of heaven has nothing to do with this world, it’s within us.

uk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The Old Testament saints rose with Jesus and ascended with him. Those that were alive and remain met the lord in the spirit and will be with him forevermore.

I know what lies ahead for me as a Believer is going to be pure hell until I die, or God has other plans for me. That's what makes it worth it, for me, because God is not finished yet. Even if that means I will suffer like never before, at least it is God bringing me through this by my side the entire time.
Amen brother. The wise will never give up the faith because they truly understand the profundity of the gift.

It is in us, I absolutely agree!

But there is no sickness, disease, death (Christ has the keys) in Heaven. We should not be dying while existing with the kingdom of God within us! That is irrational to even consider.

I agree but most of the Bible verses about heaven are talking about the kingdom of heaven that’s inside of us. We won’t see the heavenly kingdom until we die.

It states we will be caught away. That means to leave. When did we leave because I still sin but in Heaven there can be no sin.

I cannot argue with that viewpoint. But that still does not explain the 2nd Coming after the Tribulation, Armageddon.

We have not had to choose between God or the Mark of the Beast, no one is being beheaded, Satan is still running around free, No true Demonic Antichrist with powers like God, no Two Witnesses, no death of the Two Witnesses, no Israel realizing the Antichrist is not God and there is war, no Armageddon.

Where does this all fall at?
