Guys I am struggling to understand this... Ezekiel had a vision of Temple which he describes from ch.40 and so on. Here's the struggle:
1) what temple was that? 2nd? 3rd? Different?
2) if it was 2nd Temple then why was it build in a different way that described by the Prophet Ezekiel?
3) if it was a future temple (3rd etc) then why are there detailed instructions for priests to give offerings?

It was a symbol of Christ, God's temple made without hands. Notice when you read the measurements are incomplete. Meaning only God can build it. Also, the waters flowing from the temple grow as they travel east. These represent the rivers of living waters that flow from the belly of the Church, also said to be this temple in the NT. The animal sacrifice after Calvary would send all to hell who performed it according to Hebrews 6. So they show Jesus's atonement symbolically taking place in him the true temple of God.

If it's a symbol, why the detailed explanation of all dimensions and sacrifices to be made IN DETAILS?

The measurements are incomplete. And if you return to animal sacrifices you cannot be forgiven and end up in hell.

It's the real temple, it's the body of Christ in foreshadowing language.

Ezekiel is the one Book of the Word I completely do not understand. In the over fifty years I have read the Word, I Ezekiel strictly in obedience of being understanding of our given Book. I await understanding. Until then, I believe the Savior and all He has done just for me and for all others who believe.
Keep what is not explained fully to you by people in your heart and all will be revealed one day.

“Son of man, describe the temple to the people of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their sins. Let them consider its perfection, 11 and if they are ashamed of all they have done, make known to them the design of the temple—its arrangement, its exits and entrances—its whole design and all its regulations and laws. Write these down before them so that they may be faithful to its design and follow all its regulations." Ez 43,10-11
Furthermore if gives TONES of details on selecting priests and making offerings, etc etc... How is that a foreshadow?

I believe Jews were ment to build the 2nd temple according to those details. Can't see why and where are they incomplete?

The Old Testament temples were always foreshadows of the true temple of God. Shadows are only used until the "real" comes. Lambs were sacrificed until the "real" lamb came. Temples were built until the "real" temple came.

Ezekiel's temple is actually the 4th temple. The number 4 in the bible represents spiritual things. I don't understand any of the symbolism of Ezekiel's temple but I do know that we are "the lively stones" in it.

Then why does God tell Ezekiel to order the Jews to follow the design and all it's details etc (if they repent for their trespassings). It makes no sense to me if it's JUST a foreshadow.

Does it make more sense that the Jews, whom God said he was finished with forever, are going to build God a temple and start offering him lambs again?

Yes the measure of man "the literal" is incomplete. The golden measure of faith must be mixed with it. It reveals the new order. No temple. same order before the glory of God departed and fallen mankind was used as the temporal temple Having the power in these earthen bodies of death not of them. We are the temporal temple of God not built with hands. The one built with hand was left desolate, the abomination Kings in Israel.

A invisible temple with gates and walls according to the golden measure.

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there Revelation 21;22-25

We are not of the number comparing themselves to their self. And not walking by faith the golden measure.

There are so many ways to understand "the Jews." For me, I like the translation from the Hebrew, Praiser of God. Read what Paul says a true praiser of God isin Romans. Some translations leave it as true Jews.

The sameholds true for the word and Kingdom of Israel. At time it is a reference to the Eternal Kingdom with New Jerusalem as its capital. There are so many ways to understand and misunderstand what is being said, so we rely on revelation by the Holy Spirit, or we simply wait on the Lord. All will be know that is eternal come His time. God bless.

There are 2 ways to understand the Jews... Ethinic Jews, which are the enemies of the gospel and Spiritual Jews, which are God's chosen people.

Anyone who tries to build it adds to God word something intentionally left blank. Only God can build it and he used it as a symbol for Jesus and the Church. The temple made without hands. Plus animal sacrifices reject Christ and submit to the Pharisees and their perverted forms of Judaism. What makes you think any who plan this will go to heaven, even if it never happens?

Before you get to Ezekiel's temple starting at chapter 40, take a close look at chapters 36 & 37. The redemption and restoration of Israel is guaranteed in the future. And it is only after that that the temple is built in Jerusalem according to God's plan.
1) what temple was that? 2nd? 3rd? Different?
To call it the fourth temple would be fair. The third temple is to be built shortly but will be totally destroyed after it has been desecrated by the Antichrist.
2) if it was 2nd Temple then why was it build in a different way that described by the Prophet Ezekiel?
The second temple was built under Ezra and Nehemiah, then added to by Herod. It is different since it would also be destroyed in 70 AD
3) if it was a future temple (3rd etc) then why are there detailed instructions for priests to give offerings?
This anomaly is not explained by Ezekiel, but we know that it will be built under the New Covenant, since the saved Jews at that time will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (after the Second Coming of Christ). There are various explanations as to why temple sacrifices would be resumed when Christ already offered one sacrifice for sins forever. But we really do not know God's purpose in this.

I am not making any reference to ethnic nor denominationalized Jews. My reference is to the people who praise God in spirit and truth. You know who they are by the fruit they bear.

Meanwhile beware of those who say they are Jews but are not, rather they are a synagogue of Satan.

Just as the true Israel is eternal with New Jerusalem as its capital. YOu will know what Israel is if you learn what it means. It certainly is not the Israel that is on the maps of this age. Try not to draw me away from the subject by deflecting with thoughts not conv eyed b my post.

Israel is Christ and the Church. The broken off unbelievers are gentiles with Jewish customs and nothing more.

(Amo 8:2) And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

The God hating, Christ killing, prophet killing Jews were brought to an end when THIS GENERATION that was alive during the time of Christ. God will never pass by them again anymore forever..... You should stop worshipping antichrist Jews.

There is no physical 4th temple, there will be no blaphemous sacrifices of literal animals and there will be no "restored Israel". The redemption of Israel happened when Christ came and redeemed the entire world through his blood.

If it's 3rd or 4th temple, then why:
"In addition to all your other detestable practices, you brought foreigners uncircumcised in heart and flesh into my sanctuary, desecrating my temple while you offered me food, fat and blood, and you broke my covenant. 8 Instead of carrying out your duty in regard to my holy things, you put others in charge of my sanctuary. 9 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary, not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites." (Ez 44,7-10)

IMO the only logical explanation would mean that it was the way second temple was supposed to be built...

Why did you then ask those questions, and why don't you tear the book of Ezekiel out of your Bible since you do not believe it? Honesty would demand that.
