is it just happening in affluent areas or what.
I think wherever people are oppressed it will be bad. Not sure what can be done about it as there are huge divides in america between rich and poor. Your leader or whoever is in charge needs to calm people down and say something. I havent a heard a peep or any action on it. I think if that happened we would all be hearring about it seeing as he could be on the news everyday.

mmm I dont believe the rioters have actually much to do with the protesters i,e the protesters were not there to riot.
I dont really see that connection. its more that the police were using force and inciting violence. so the people around who were not even armed then think its ok to be as violent as the police, but lacking weapons find another way.

it isnt fair to label all the protesters as rioters. when you witness someone being killed and nobody protecting anybody it would be hard not to feel SOMETHING.

as for stealing shoes well for people that cannot afford nikes and are not as well off as yourself, that is something that they could have. I dont think many people in power would really understand what its like to be so poor you cannot afford new shoes....or many of the luxury goods paraded around in shops these days. the worst thing is those shoes do not cost that much to make but the mark up is ridiculous...who gets the money? not the people who made it. The merchants and the corporates get it.

so even if you rich and could afford nikes...who is getting the money? You are just making the rich richer.

if you can afford it I heard these people Tom Toms make ethical shoes. And for every shoe they sell they give their money away to needy (and dont sponsor super rich sports stars so people can make a living gambling on them and taking drugs) .

I read about this in a business book but havent seen those shoes for sale here.

so yea. even if you could afford it dont buy nikes, the money just goes eventually finds its way to some drug cartel. which is why I supose people will steal them so they cant be sold and then just give them away.

I dont think it was the poor people who were only a couple of months ago buying mountains of toilet paper....who can afford that much toilet paper (or a house big enough to put it all in?)

We just went downtown Riverside and many stores have boarded up their windows, esp the antique shops. There are a lot of homeless here who probably want to get arrested.

Ya except now the Pacific Ocean is polluted with radiation from Fukushima and junk. I feel for the surfers out there, in the beaches still open.

https://www.bet.com/news/national/2020/05/31/white-extremists-terrorize-and-loot-10-videos-of-destruction-bl.html

at least some of it is extremist groups actively trying to provoke police retaliation and color otherwise peaceful protests as riots.

now why would someone want that..
who benefits?
Exactly and I told the people here what's coming next, curfew. Guess what happened next, curfew last night in Riverside from 6PM to 6AM. Many of these 'rioters/protesters admitted they were bought and paid for, hmmm.
Oh well, the good news Jesus told us these things were going to happen and not to worry or be anxious:).

This is a sad time for America.

Right wing extremists are a threat to America, and it’s getting harder to separate a right wing extremist from the POTUS.

He’s not uniting the country when we need a president taking the country safely through the roughest parts of the voyage.

His presidency is operating on a wing and a prayer.

driving out peaceful protesters with tear gas and rubber bullets just so he could do a photo-op with a Bible in front of a church he doesn't even attend was disgusting.(n)

and guess who's gung-ho about filling the streets of our cities with soldiers instead of calling for reform and urging calm :(

*sigh*

he's still president. not a great one, but a president nonetheless. in the past i fussed at people for saying '
Obama's not a real president' and it wouldn't be right for me to do anything less now.

Well, I didn’t say that about Obama, so I suppose I can speak my mind on #45😁.

Labels, labels, labels, why do we have to place extremist labels on those we disagree with?
