In the beginning was the word. The word was god the word is god

As John said whoever sins has never known god. Whoever is born if god has
Not sinned

I pray you find the relationship god is offering you

You trying to twist my words is not helping you

In fact it just once again shows
Me something about you

You are now denying scripture....oh dear.

I learned something in this thread and am just going to paraphrase it:
Past
Something happened(what happened?recieving salvation by faith through Christ)
Present
Something is happening(what is happening? sanctification which also involves works/fruit produced)
Future
Something is going to happen(what will happen? The physical body will be glorified)
=salvation
The explanation of salvation does not favor"works has nothing to do with salvation"

What is your definition of salvation?

Again...I have already explained how I became born again....not repeating it....scroll back you will find it....

If you only knew

I have met God

He made me alive in hi. Have me his spirit. Leads me guides me. I can come to him with my worried and my sorrows

Have I met him face to face? Well if I did as he said I would die. But to say I never met him

Well I hear to many say this that’s sad

You have never ever met God face to face.....never!.....you deny scripture.

"their teaching" you say?

Okay let's settle the matter of what constitutes correct "teaching" with a very simple question shall we?

Who was it that led the conquest of Canaan? I said it was Lord Jesus Messiah as the Bible makes clear. And who do you say it is?

I have been praying for you...so now hand you over to God.....I have no intention of answering your posts....

You have not been listening toher

and your last sentence. What are you trying to say?

are you ever going to answer my question and prove I am bearing false witness against you?

Jackie-rosie never said any such thing. If she did please show me. I do read her posts.

Your question: how does your statement telling about your being forgiven if sin (against others) in some detail of expression with no thought of what your sin means to others is why I responded. If we replace “sin” with a word listing one like “stealing” then it sound different to be at peace that God forgives for all the stealing youll continue to do every day. Do you see what I mean?

You were the unlucky one who casually mentioned you sin but I know a lot of christians have no
problem saying they sin a lot or sin every day. So you’re not the only one. It’s very common.

I don’t remember the false witness but in general most of you don’t understand me.

That may be true.

However, if there is something we must do for salvation to be secure then by necessity you preach works as part of salvation.
I have all but given up hope of being understood. I’ll try again.

Are words necessary to maintain love in a marriage? Does one have to perform works or the thing is over? The answer is no. Works proceed from love. If one never does a single thing for the beloved can love die? The answer is yes.

Can you see how a marriage love isn’t maintained by works but neglect is possible without some work? Do you see how doing so is not considered “works?”

The relationship is what I desire, not salvation as a goal.

I understand you......once a member starts to get personal...I throw in the towel....it’s fruitless and petty....I cease to converse with them......

Thanks so much Jackierose! Your name says rose but you’re a peach. ;)

The test of a person’s love is not how they behave towards those who share their thinking but how they respond when others disagree.
I agree. God is love. And God makes it clear how to deal with false prophets, rebels and heretics,
this in order to preserve and protect his own beloved people, the people of His choosing.
You and JackieRosie proclaim that you are Christians. Continuously and often. Christians are those who understand believe God's Word as it is written. If you do NOT believe God's word you are not a Christian. So let us put you two to the test and find out whether you are Christians or not. This for the benefit of the board members so that they are not seduced by false doctrine and a false gospel.

Gods dealing with Sodom and Gomorrah? Is this incident Scriptural yes or no?

Lord Jesus Messiah leading the conquest of Canaan? Is this incident Scriptural yes or no?

Gods direct hand in the plagues of Exodus? Is this incident Scriptural yes or no?

God himself striking down Nadab and Abihu? Is this incident Scriptural yes or no?

God striking down Korah Dathan Abiram? Is this incident Scriptural yes or no?

Elijah striking down the 400 prophets of Baal? Is this incident Scriptural yes or no?

Six extremely simple and straightforward yes or no answers. These will determine whether you two are heretics or not. We await your answers thank you.

The relationship is what I desire, not salvation as a goal.

We do not maintain salvation by our love for God.

And no salvation does not die.

You need to separate the experiential from the positional.

I thought you believed in the fact that our works will save us since you don't agree with those who say our works have nothing to do with our salvation. So I thought you were being sarcastic by giving that answer. Am so sorry, I really misunderstood you.
I never said anything close to
that. It is untrue and I never said that but the others accuse me of saying so. But thanks for posting this. Means a lot to me.

I will tell you what I do say,
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings. This cannot be done outside of obeying Him. It is not a gift but it is not earned same as no one earns their spouse but neither are they going to find a mate without some effort. The marriage relationship is the closest example I can find but I didn’t think of it first.

Jackrosie,
I know they get personal. Been around the ball park.

But maybe there are those reading who want to know if there is more than being saved and going to heaven. I’m here to tell them that there is a lot more. If they want more, I can tell them how to get there.

I actually am right. He lived 33 years. He taught 3 years. His ministry of teaching did not start until he was 30. Before that time he did not teach the truth he knew. You can read of the times he taught, what he said was so little compared to what he knew. He even said he had more to teach but they couldn’t take it. Ergo, he was silent much more than he taught.
The last chapter of John declares that Jesus did so much that if all things were listed the world could not contain the books. Clearly Jesus was not murdered for keeping quiet.

Exactly as expected. Shine the light of the truth of the Bible in your direction and look at the reaction!

John 3:19
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

I receive salvation by grace through faith but don't have a relationship with him, will I still be saved?
Is it possible that if I don't have a relationship with God, then I was not really saved?
Two completely different questions. Your first question makes a proclamation that you are saved, your second question has no such proclamation.
