The kingdom is not here. It does not come by observing the temporal things seen.

That does not mean the work is not complete

Judgment day is the last day same twinkling 0f the eye believers receive their new incorruptible bodies

No interest in Jesuit interpretation. They follow a law of the fathers, another Christ, as antichrists.
Well, we can be sure that if Daniel says the kingdom ain't handed over to the saints until after Judgment Day, then the kingdom DEFINITELY was not set up during the Roman Empire, as taught by Jesuit Preterists.

Specifically, the "Papacy" is the Antichrist - remember, the Beast is a "kingdom" in prophecy, not limited to one individual as so many who distort the prophetic symbolism claim...the Roman Pontiffs were just the men at the head of the system throughout the prophesied 1,260 years, from its inception in 538 A.D. to 1798 A.D. when it received a "deadly wound" from Napoleon's general Berthier. But, the "deadly would was healed" when Mussolini returned the papal states back to the Vatican and allowed the popes to return to power. And, sadly today, "All the world wonders after the Beast" like so many here who fiercely defend the Jesuit eschatological diversionary tactics of Jesuit Preterism and Futurism.
I disagree with this analysis.
I see the 2nd beast of revelation fitting the middle ages Roman Church. With its image of idols, idols which have came to life and have spoken, its marking with the sign of the cross, marking of ashes on forehead with right thumb its false signs and wonders, its slaying of those who refuse to worship the image, greater excommunication of both rich and small, greater excommunication where people were ostracized to the point where they could not buy or sell... and that there is no time limit of 42 months on the 2nd beast Roman Church.

Why is it that those who favor the historicist approach wrongly assign the Roman Church to the 1st beast of revelation?

The era of the 2nd beast is over now. As inquisition is over for example.
The Modern Day Roman church is beginning to fulfill the era of Prostitute of Babylon.

Why don;t you see that some of the seven bowls have begun to be fulfilled? Or do you?

Yes, it is set up in the new heavens and earth . The forever even for ever and ever. . . . never ending land . The Amil position seems to work the best . The last day the end. It is used 6 times that way in the book of John to emphasize the unknow timing of faith..

But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. Dan 7:18

It's not wrong to identify the Papacy as the 1st Beast - the characteristics of the Little Horn, which is clearly the Papacy, are identical to it. The Second Beast is the United States, (ask me how I can prove that from Scripture), Earth's last remaining superpower which will by political, economic, and militaristic pressure force the entire world to bow down and worship Rome.

At the risk of sounding condescending which I am not, I find most people opposed to Historicism have never taken the time to become fully acquainted with Historicism, while we who preach Historicism are very well acquainted with Futurism/Preterism and is why we're able to poke so many holes in these Jesuit errors. Change requires first a willingness to let go of that which is discovered to be Scripturally unsound, but sadly, most people are too comfortable or too fearful of change to pluck up the courage to make a thorough investigation of Historicism. Nevertheless, I'd encourage you to do so.

Please allow me to hold your feet to the fire :) Daniel 7 says the kingdom is not handed over to the saints until Judgment Day is done. Is Judgment Day over, and if so, why is child/adult trafficking and human sacrifice still happening?

The little horn is the rise of the roman emperor.

Daniel 7. The fourth beast which came after the greek empire begins as roman republic with 10 horns representing the Tribune of the Plebs one of the most powerful groups in the republic.
then the little horn uprooting three horns represents the first triumvirate followed by the second triumvirate.
The members of the triumvirates were either plebians themselves are were supportive of the plebians.
Both triumvirates were dissolved and from them arose first, Dictator Julius Caeser, and then second, Emperor Augustus Caesar.

The little horn is the roman emperor and rise of the roman empire: the 1st beast.

After 330 AD the roman emperors began to take authority over the Church and created the false Roman Church, the 2nd beast. By falsely claiming the USA as the 2nd beast is such a terrible, terrible, error that serves to drive believers away from the historicist approach.

The pilgrims fled from false church and state systems like the English Monarchy (beast) and the Church of England (false prophet). USA gave us separation of Church (false prophet) and State (beast). USA is a great gift from God, this is true!!!

We now live in western democracy where the best is now not (Rev 17:8).
We still have the false prophet today, i.e. the Roman Church, which has now morphed into the Prostitute of Babylon. The Roman Church now functions without corroboration with the beast (oppressive government).

You could not be further from the true by labeling USA the 2nd beast. And because of insisting on such error like this you and others continue to push many, many, away from the correct approach to prophesy interpretation which is the historicist approach. Because of such gross errors like claiming USA the 2nd beast, no one will even listen to my interpretations using the Historicist approach!!

The USA is at the center of why, "The beast is now not". (Rev 17:8).
Pilgrims fled the beast and came to the land of the free and home of the brave!!!!

Question? in the Historicism camp how common or prevelant is this idea that the 2nd beast is the USA?

The little horn is the rise of the roman emperor.
This is what happens when you don't follow the Daniel 2 template. In Daniel 2, the fourth kingdom is divided into the feet/ten toes. In Daniel 7, the fourth beast is divided into ten horns - the teaching principle of "repetition and enlargement" used by any good teacher is here used by God as He enlarges Daniel 2 with mention of the Little Horn. The Ten Horns are the barbarian divisions of Rome, and the Little Horn is the Papacy which arose among them.
Daniel 7. The fourth beast which came after the greek empire begins as roman republic with 10 horns representing the Tribune of the Plebs one of the most powerful groups in the republic. then the little horn uprooting three horns represents the first triumvirate followed by the second triumvirate. Both triumvirates were dissolved and from them arose first, Dictator Julius Caeser, and then second, Emperor Augustus Caesar.
Horns are not "plebs" or "triumvirate"...they are "kingdoms" led by a monarch and refer to the barbarian nations which sacked Rome.
The little horn is the roman emperor and rise of the roman empire: the 1st beast. After 330 AD the roman emperors began to take authority over the Church and created the false Roman Church, the 2nd beast.
Nope, the 1st Beast reigns for 42 months, same as the Little Horn's reign of a "time, times, and half a time" which compared with Revelation 12 is "1,260 days" - all referring to the 1,260 reign of the Papacy, from 538 to 1798.
By falsely claiming the USA as the 2nd beast is such a terrible, terrible, error that serves to drive believers away from the historicist approach.
Of course the U.S. is the Second Beast, because at the time the 1st Beast was going down, the 2nd was rising from obscurity to superpower status.
The pilgrims fled from false church and state systems like the English Monarchy (beast) and the Church of England (false prophet). USA gave us separation of Church (false prophet) and State (beast). USA is a great gift from God, this is true!!!
Did you read the prophecy? It says the 2nd Beast would start out having two horns like a lamb (a "Lamb-like" Christian nation with two crown-less horn signifying a nation with no king and a church with no pope)....but sadly it ends up speaking "as a dragon". Does that describe the U.S.? John Wesley in his 1773 commentary on Revelation 13 thought so...he said the time of the 1st Beast is almost up and we now look for the soon rise of the 2nd Beast. Google it.
We now live in western democracy where the best is now not (Rev 17:8). We still have the false prophet today, i.e. the Roman Church, which has now morphed into the Prostitute of Babylon. The Roman Church now functions without corroboration with the beast (oppressive government).
The false prophet is APOSTATE PROTESTANTISM where every stripe and type of error including Jesuit Futurism is preached from pulpits worldwide. Jezebel had her willing false prophets and the Papal Jezebel has hers, as well. The non-Catholic Christian world is falling all over itself to get back to Rome.

Need I remind you the Second Beast is going to speak as a dragon? The U.S. is going to make an image to the 1st Beast. What is the 1st Beast? "UNION OF CHURCH AND STATE". Make no mistake, the day is coming when the world will be told who, what, WHEN, where, and how to worship in the United States. We already have "Sunday Blue Laws" on the books here, just not being enforced. My message is to call people out of Babylon, not push them further into it. Your message is no different than that of the Jesuits, because it diverts the attention of those looking for Antichrist Beast away from the Papacy, who said "look to the past (Preterism), or to the future (Futurism), just don't look at us!"

A better question is, "Why did every single true Protestant up until only about 100 or so years ago believe that the 1st Beast was the Papacy...that 1798 A.D. would be the end of the 1,260 years Papal reign marked by the "deadly wound"...and that as it was going down, the Second Beast would arise?"

If they all were alive today, there'd by no question as to what nation arose at that time and went on to become the only reigning superpower that speaks with a serpent tongue.

The answer to that is because Christians at that time hadn't yet fallen under any Jesuit spells.

This is what happens when you don't follow the Daniel 2 template. In Daniel 2, the fourth kingdom is divided into the feet/ten toes.

the rock that was cut out but not by human hands is jesus the messiah who spiritaully defeated satan and his beasts, the beast at that time was roman empire not roman church.

Romam empire was divided into eastern and western Roman empires. the western Roman empire was divided into 10 but this 10 does not include the eastern Roman empire which continued on. wrong interpretation of 10 horns.

You then fail to even offer a rationale for the 3 uprooted horns.

Horns are not "plebs" or "triumvirate"...they are "kingdoms" led by a monarch and refer to the barbarian nations which sacked Rome.

Papacy still rules. your numbers dont work.

Of course the U.S. is the Second Beast, because at the time the 1st Beast was going down, the 2nd was rising from obscurity to superpower status.

of course, we should move to iran, china, north korea, Afghanistan where we would have more religious freedoms, you lose everyone here!

Did you read the prophecy? It says the 2nd Beast would start out having two horns like a lamb (a "Lamb-like"

like a lamb means that it mimics being like the christ, like the lamb of god, but is not. it is a false christianity that speaks lies. the two horns are the east-west schism of Catholicism

Christian nation with two crown-less horn signifying a nation with no king and a church with no pope)....but sadly it ends up speaking "as a dragon". Does that describe the U.S.? no this is the beginnings of fulfillment of the prostitute of babylon where they dress in purple scarlet and gold and support homosexuality or cover for pedophilia or condone polygamy...

You do no different than Miller. Miller began with historicist view but then twisted it to his own version of making futuristic predictions. You turn your erroneous interpretations into the making of bogus future predictions.

Wrong: read the Geneva Bible and its notes and u will see that they believed that the 1st beast of rev and the little horn of daniel is roman empire. the 2nd beast of rev is apostate roman church. you should get this right.

but u are right that jesuit futurist teaching has permeated evangelical christian churches. But you saying 2nd beast is the best country this world has ever seen will push them even more to the futuristic view.

As I said earlier, the Jesuits have little or nothing to do with Christian Futurist beliefs. The very fact that the Second Coming of Christ is IN THE FUTURE is sufficient to show that bringing Jesuits into the picture is a red herring, a rabbit trail.

And if anyone claims that the Second Coming has occurred already, he is making an absurd delusional statement.

Also, the Geneva Bible is a Reformed Bible, and presents the erroneous prophetic ideas of the Reformers, who wished to make the pope to be the Antichrist.

Biblical prophesy is not a crystal ball that can be used to predict future events. Prophesy is written in such a way that for it to be understood correctly it must be matched correctly to the witness of the historical record.

Now there is a difference between prophesy and promise. Jesus promises that he is coming soon, and so yes believers should believe and trust in this. But what this looks like or how this unfolds can not be foretold.

Prophesy can only be correctly understood after it has been fulfilled. It is difficult enough to understand prophesy after it has been fulfilled. For example Jonah's three days in the belly of the fish before being brought back to life was a foreshadow of Jesus's three days in the belly of the earth before being brought back to life.

Most people cannot see this even now after it has been fulfilled. And I wager no one could have ever foretold the events of Jesus's death and Resurrection from knowing the Book of Jonah. No one could predict the details of the NT by knowing the OT.

Likewise no one could have foretold of water baptism from the events of the parting of the Red Sea. Only after the fact can we look back and understand the full meaning and foreshadowing of the parting of the red sea.

The Book of Jonah (OT) and the Gospel of Matthew (NT) serve as witnesses to each other. Only together can one get the whole picture and understanding.

Biblical prophesy and the historical record work in the same way. Only together as witness and testimony to one another can one get the whole picture and understanding of biblical prophesy.

Therefore, I believe that the futurist approach is rooted in speculation and is not to be trusted.

I'm checking the commentaries and there seems to be mixed views. Some agree with you, others with me. I always assumed that their was consensus, so thanks for bringing that to my attention.
That is awesome. no one has all the answers and so please share with me any of your most favorite sources. some sources have it right in some places and others in other places. thanks!

Okay - why don't you start a new thread and "lay it all out"...

:coffee:
I would lay out all that I see thus far, but I have already started doing this in increments and so far it is either overlooked or immediately rejected.
