I wish it were true that good works just automatically happen, but it's just not that way. At least not all of the time.
Sometimes every fiber of your being is telling you to do something wrong and you have to purposely not do it. There is nothing automatic about it.
The Bible talks about US putting the flesh to death. It's a choice. But a choice that we are now free to make as we avail ourselves of the power of God's love to overcome temptation. And that's often way easier to say than do.

For me personally, because I have the Holy Spirit in my heart....I trust that he will help me overcome my fleshy desires..

Lately I have been arguing on here a lot.....would you call that of the flesh?

So I prayed to the Lord to please help me overcome this...so guess what happened he showed me the “ignore button “...you may laugh at that...but that is my belief/faith in God....when I argue I lose my peace with God...which I hate!.

Lol, how ironic. You're actually the one bearing false witness.
I've told you people over and over and over again that you keep misunderstanding and twisting my argument. 11th even said she is purposely not understanding my argument.
See this is how he dies things

My argument Against us is that he gives a defenition if faith we all use And claims we use the licentious defenition and he says we do not understand him and I am bearing false witness

It dies not matter if he speaks in a nice tone or not.

Because of the way he expressed himself in both posts. Pardon me for being suspicious. Was it just me who wondered?
Of course you wondered.
You and several of your osas buddies are always looking for opportunities to criticize and tear down and find fault.
We're not blind to this, but you seem to be.
You don't seem to realize those are not godly traits.
You and your friends need to drop the osas discussion for a while and find out what really matters in the Christian faith--how you behave.

At least learn from the godly example of the osas believers in this thread who don't operate in those ungodly traits. Can you do that?

I'm asking nice. Can you please take your toxicity back to the NOT BY WORKS thread?
It's been refreshing to be away from the toxicity.

Aside: I don't agree with the "false witness" comment.

But, using the word FAITH as you do is VERY CONFUSING and TIME CONSUMING.

I think it is your responsibility to speak in WORDS as they are commonly understood. The dictionary has to be your authority. It would be incredulous to think the theologians that translated the bible did not use the english dictionary as the source of the meaning of their words.

If you want to continue using the word FAITH as you do, then use the accepted term in its place: PREVENIENT GRACE. PREVENIENT GRACE is the message you are trying to convey and PREVENIENT GRACE has a common meaning to those you are trying to communicate with.

Here is a URL to speaking to PREVENIENT GRACE
https://www.gotquestions.org/prevenient-grace.html
Prevenient grace is a phrase used to describe the grace given by God that precedes the act of a sinner exercising saving faith in Jesus Christ. The term prevenient comes from a Latin word that meant ”to come before, to anticipate.” By definition, every theological system that affirms the necessity of God’s grace prior to a sinner’s conversion teaches a type of prevenient grace. The Reformed doctrine of irresistible grace is a type of prevenient grace, as is common grace.

Hopefully, you will take this as constructive criticism. All I want is for you to use word meanings as found in the dictionary so we can understand one another.
... To the extent you distort the meanings of words, you also distort any idea you are trying to convey. Distorting the meaning of FAITH in a Christian Forum is ... hmmmm.... can I use the word DYNAMITE ...

It bothers me too. A lot! That happens to all true Christians. That's how you can tell you have the Spirit in you.

It's been refreshing to leave those antagonistic, contentious fault finding people in their NOT BY WORKS thread. But now they're coming over here and starting trouble.

I know that.
The church has a very big knot to untie.
We've been mislead by centuries of programmed un-Biblical teaching.

I've been purposely being very patient with the resistance to what I'm saying because I know the depth of the lack of truth the church is presently gripped by.

Arguing in and of itself is not fleshly.
What's going on inside of you in regard to the fruit of the Spirit determines if you are being fleshly.

Thanks, I will.
I was just giving them a little space to air their petty grievances before doing that.

You do not agree that the miracles Jesus did were examples of prevenient grace--an expression of God's love and grace given to a person before they trust in the gospel?
I don't know how to respond. I don't know your definitions of FAITH and PREVENIENT GRACE, so I get confused.

That’s why I keep saying this person should just be ignored

The most important thing that matters is the gospel

We do not want ignore the gospel just because you get mad people disagree with you

Some segment of the physical church is always getting it wrong. All physical churches and people get something wrong.

______________

But, to the point of my post. I would hope you would use the word FAITH as used in the dictionary so we can understand you clearly.
Seems to me you can express your unique definition of FAITH by using the words PREVENIENT GRACE.

Aside: I believe I pointed out that when I replace the word FAITH in some verses with your definition ... the meaning does not make sense.
Example: Romans 3:26 It was to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the One who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. God does not justifies those that God enables to be able to believe or not believe. Your definition does not fit scripture and it confuses everyone.

I am being nice

When you hear false witness I will cal it out

Bearing false witness in a nice tone is still sin

You do not like to be called out. Humble yourself and admit what your doing is sin and try to change what your saying

You do not have to bear false witness and twist what people say to disagree with people. Why you and others think you Just is very troubling

I am
Only calling you out now because their are newbies here and I want them to see your tactics

Don’t worry I will ignore you again soon

Someone disagreeing with you is not an attack

You put someone on ignore because they disagree with you that’s not right

And when someone does what he did then twists and tries to blame the other person when he is called out. Thatnisntroublesome

How ironic. I don’t need a lecture from you about godly traits and I have not forgotten your meltdown. You continuously attack the OSAS doctrine and those who support it, so enough with playing the victim. I was not responding to you in the first place.

I am coming over to your opinion to some degree. But, he is very polite, respectful and articulate. My only complaint is his insistence upon giving CRITICAL words like FAITH a meaning no one uses and building doctrine upon it. Otherwise, I find him to be fun to have conversation with.

Exactly and now he has a little entourage encouraging him.

Sad.
