I would say both to your questions....and as I have pointed out many times.....the bible accurately lays the following bare.

a. Paul --> A man is justified before God by faith

b. James -->the above faith seen by men based upon works

c. James is addressing a MERE belief in God as opposed to saving faith into Jesus. The Jews to this very day have the same problem.....they believe in God (AS THE DEMONS DO) but have no saving faith into Christ (or even that option)

d. Also.....Believers have works of every flavor...some good, some bad (1st Corinthians 3) as well as biblical examples -->David, Samson, Peter, Abraham, Moses

However.....We cannot alleviate the absolute truth that Jesus was addressing the false teachers of his day and what they were teaching when he referenced a tree being known by what it bears...

And....as far as believers...A tree takes growth and maturity before it produces fruit.....for example....an apple tree takes 2 to 3 years to produce...maybe 1 apple, maybe 20 or more....it can also have good edible apples and a few rotten or apples with worms.....there is NO SET time frame or amount of fruit that can be predicted....and without a doubt...it is an apple tree from the moment it sprouts from seed!

Again bear with me....,are you saying a born again doesn’t bear fruit as soon as they are born again?

For me a born again bears fruit after salvation.....

Actually, how does one know whether Christ could have sinned?

Does he have the flesh nature that we all have as humans, but he could resist it somehow?
Christ was WITHOUT sin, ONLY THE SIN OF THE WHOLE WAY THAT THE FATHER PLACED UPON HIM BY THE LAYING OF HIS HAND UPON HIS VERY OWN SON.......

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (JESUS CHRIST!!!)

Hebrews 5:9 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Hebrews 5:9&version=KJV

To OBEY is to BELIEVE IN CHRIST FOR YOUR SALVATION!

None of us can put ANY confidence in our flesh to obey God. It is ONLY by the Holy Spirit that we have strength and God’s power to obey and do great things for God! Amen!

No matter how they slice and dice, salvation that can be lost or forfeit BY DEFAULT = A works based salvation.

IF ONE MUST do something to KEEP IT, MAINTAIN IT regardless of what the "IT" IS....it is nothing more than a self help guru false salvation, not of God and reeks of no trust into the promises and or finished work of Christ on oir behalf!

One, I’m not a teacher at all.
Two, you don’t accept correction

This is an example of believers resisting correction that Soul thought doesn’t happen with true believers. I just said I never said salvation is by works and you falsely accuse me and that was too much for you.
I have been gentle with you but, you deceive the flock.

There is NO SALVATION outside of Jesus Christ and there are NO WORKS outside of HIM that can keep, maintain or preserve what JESUS CHRIST completed in His Body and Blood on the Cross for ALL who will simply believe in Him as Savior, Lord and King.

Yes you are right. He was without sin, I agree.

But do you think Christ COULD have chose to sin? Was he capable of sinning?

I am saying that Jesus consistently used nature to teach the spiritual.....growth and maturity are required to bear fruit.....

Except a man ABIDE in the vine Jesus said.....

Not one plant or tree on this planet bears fruit immediately.....they all take growth and maturity....some quicker than others obviously....while we have now been given access to the Spirit by being sealed with the Spirit they are all grown, matured and beough to fruition if you will.

For example...Let Love be PERFECTED in us <-- matured

One thing I think is a disconnect...works are not fruit!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

If Christ could not have had the ability to sin, HIM being tempted in all points as we are tempted would have had NO practical purpose. We cannot alleviate the humanity of Jesus and or him being tempted and tried.....could he have sinned YES....did he sin NO and that is what makes his sacrifice so perfect!

Sorry,I don’t believe Jesus could have sinned...he was God.

He was also man and was tempted, tried and tested!
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have
one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet he did not sin.

Yes, Jesus Christ WAS CAPABLE of sin BUT, like us, He had a choice and said, “It is written....”

Jesus showed us how POWERFUL the Word of God is to defeat Satan and sin in our life! Amen?! Amen!

We know Christ could have sinned BUT chose NOT to because of the account recorded after His water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism....,

.....then the Holy Spirit lead Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan after 40 days.....

Jesus could never have sinned..because he was God....that is my belief and it is strong in my heart,x

Exactly......as a man, he could have, but did not....exactly why his sacrifice met the expectation of God the Father

I never said he did.....if he could not have, why was he tempted and tried?

Because HE WAS A MAN and that is what makes HIS sacrifice acceptable unto GOD....he never sinned!

Because God was testing him....I see what you are saying...God was far to strong in Jesus to ever sin....that is my belief.

I also read you never said he sinned..so not sure why you said that to me.

When a son or daughter calls their father by his first name
He introduced Himself as such, "I AM"
Yahweh Elohim is His totality...LORD
Thought you understood Him?

A novice, attempting the deeps things of El....

Like you, I believed in the impeccability of Christ.

But God need not test Jesus, it was for Satan to try his best, but because Jesus was pure gold, he had no sin in him (1 John 3:5), he could not be tempted to sin.
