Surely not...they were made in God’s own image?
What do you Think?
Nope they did not have a sin nature.
I was asking the question to someone who indicated that the did have.

I tend to go along the lines if I'm not certain what they are saying I ask them rather than assume.

Paul wrote to the Corinthians that they should have been miserable but weren’t. Your theory just isn’t so. If it were true, no NT would have been necessary nor would there ever be quarrels between believers.

So who are the baby christians here. Do you leave them be?
Do you?

Yes, true Christians with a new nature that is now spiritual will be miserable every time they choose to sin.

However, when true Christians follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and deny their flesh, take up their cross and follow Jesus - they will suffer in their flesh but, their spirit and soul will rejoice because they delight to do God's Will and are pleasing in God's sight - it's a great joy!

Sinners that are NOT saved find trying to be good makes them miserable, they're happy just doing their own will and not interested in God at all!

New baby Christians get beat up by Pharisees and legalistic religious folk that judge and condemn them for stumbling over their flesh and not having good works in their life. This is so ridiculous to me - can you imagine telling a new little tomato plant that it CANNOT be a tomato plant because it does not have any visible tomatoes yet!

All the judgmental and critical pointing fingers towards new baby Christians needs to stop. However, older Christians that have been saved for years and know the Bible and are well acquainted with the power of the Holy Spirit - they know better and will be reprimanded more harshly.

The Holy Spirit is never less in our lives - He is a constant companion but, His rivers of living water won't flow abundantly if we are holding on to any sin in our flesh - got to deny our flesh!

There is also a massive void in a non believer heart...I never knew this until I became born again.

I used to buy material stuff to try and fill that void...nothing can fill that void...not until you become born again.

You never use scripture but if this is your verse then once again

taking a verse out of context ... and trying to make it state something it does not!! True to your FORM.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
1 Cor 15:19

We are not miserable because we NOT limited to this life only ......because Jesus is the first-fruits of our resurrection

We are Christians not Corinthians. And it’s better to be a baby Christian than a nonChristian. With that I ask, why are you on this site? I see you as a tare sowing discord. Prove me wrong.

@DorothyMae ...
If you are going to post in this thread , then please at least post the FULL Scripture to your reply , as leaving out the whole context and making it say what you want to say is very deceiving don`t you think...
In fact , it would be helpful if you posted Scripture full stop...

Is there an example in the Bible of a man taking a name for himself that honors his own character and God is thereby honored?
No there’s not. Is there an example in the Bible of a man partaking in Communion on the moon? No, but Buzz Aldrin did, and God was indeed honored, and no doubt well pleased.

This is in reference to Exodus 12:13:

...and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

And this action lead to this testimony:

Exodus 15:13
You in your mercy has led forth the people which you have redeemed.

And

Exodus 15:16
...the people...which you have purchased.

But these same individuals, that were redeemed, purchased, and covered by the blood, ended up like this after disobedience:

Numbers 14:
[27] How long shall I bear with this evil congregation...[30] Doubtless you shall not come into the land, concerning which I swore to make you dwell therein...[32] But as for you, your carcasses, they shall fall in this wilderness. ...[34] ...and you shall know my breach of promise.

Now take grave heed to this new testament passage that uses the very scriptures I just quoted in the old testament:

1 Corinthians 10:
[10] Neither murmur ye, as some of them murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. [11] Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition...[12] Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
The same people never LOST THEIR STATUS but were chastened!

a. God never LEFT THEM
B. GOD still led them (pillar of fire and smoke)
C. GOD FED THEM
D. God gave them a system of worship and laws to govern with
E. God gave them water

What you self maintaining salvation losers cannot grasp because of a blind indifference to the truth due to your salvation rose colored glasses is....

a. THEY were under a CONDITIONAL covenant to RECEIVE the blessings

b. THEY were punished and chastend in the wilderness AND NOT CAST AWAY

c. THERE IS a position if REST BELIEVERS CAN HAVE IN THIS PHYSICAL life due to OBEDIENCE

d. GOD does not CAST AWAY his people

e. WE are not under that COVENANT...BUT UNDER GRACE!
