My bible promises the perpetuity of not only the Lord's churches, but also HIS TRUTH....I do not need an ex Catholic reformer in what, the mid 1500's to dictate to me what the truth is....the truth was here ALL ALONG....and not to mention that at least 3 of the 5 tenents of it are contradicted by the bible in context.....

Adam had choice
Cain had choice
Joshua had choice
Jesus had choice
Felix had choice
Rahab had choice
from front to back bible proves we have choice

God'a grace IS INDEED resistable.....Almost thou persuadest me said the ROMAN

Many are called FEW CHOSEN...if the call is irrevocable and irresistable WHY NOT THE WHOLE LOT--> MANY INSTEAD OF FEW...

There are numerous truths that contradict this Johnny come lately NEW twist on scripture....The bible was defined in the 1st Century A.D....not in the MID 1500s by an ex Catholic!
Serious question , looking to learn :)...
Is God`s calling not irresistible , I mean , when Jesus called Matthew , Peter , Andrew etc , did they not just drop their nets and follow , and Matthew left his stall and followed...
I see this calling irresistible , but like I said , I am still learning...
Is the elect different from the calling of God to others?...
...xox...

Both you and your buddy do.....and the fact you are being dishonest about it speaks volumes to all reading...shame on you!

Is that 6th tenat of Calvinism? Not admit you peddle the 5 tenats of Calvinism....3 of the 5 being false to boot!
Did we not establish they were not true calvinists? Or was that someone else?

To some it is

to many it is not, like the passage DC quoted,, you almost persuaded me... here the person resisted Gods grace and hence rejected it

@jackrosie
He does that to all of us who He calls , some of us take longer to recognise our calling than others , it is not always immediately...
But can we resist His calling , that is my question ?

Is that the meaning when Jesus said " Many are called but few are chosen ?
...xox...
Yeah I think so. I like what Jesus said in John 6, it is the will of his father that all who see and believe have eternal life,

but as we saw their many saw and did not believe. Not because God kept the truth from them or made them resist. But because they loved their way better than Gods way. Ie, pride

On the basis that he knew them beforehand....he knew we would submit.
Amen his Will was all who would believe

thats the root cause of being predestined

he predestined that’s all who see and believe shall be his children

I think Judas is a good example of one who resisted

he was called, he walked and saw, yet he continued to resist up till the end

I never said yes.....but mine was extremely personal when I was saved..I did a lot of talking..but I can’t remember saying yes.x....I do remember saying what right do I have to love.Jesus was also in the conversation...I was talking about him to myself.
