Which equals precisely nothing.
Does this verses mean anything to you? Never mind, OSAS has probably ruined them for you, at least partially.

Titus 2:13-15
[13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; [14] Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. [15] These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

At times I feel like I am talking to people in complete ignorance of scripture.

I know I answered this. But I guess living to please God is foreign to many. What can I do? It’s foreign to them.
You are not pleasing God if you think your works are keeping or adding to your salvation.

Those who do good works after "paid in full" "it is finished" please God.

How convenient that you left out the following verse... Philippians 2:13, "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."

So it's not by human work at all, is it?
How convenient that you make void one verse by another.

And no where did I say that you needed to prove yourself worthy to receive salvation.

Only that you need to walk worthy of the vocation you received freely and take heed to the warning passages in the scripture.
Correct, you never made the statement you've been accused of making.

Have you conducted a poll of "the many" to see if living to please God "is foreign to many" or is this just your biased, "holier then thou" assumption?

I’d have no reason whatsoever to think of physical lust since the subsequent verse is about learning. And I’d have no reason to think that of JR. The accusation is based on a personal dislike of me. I’m shocked she would sink so low. I didn’t think it of anyone here.
ok, I’m done being silent. This is what I took issue with,

DorothyMae said:
That you are a 2Tim 3:6 woman.

JR said:
This is what God testified to your spirit about me.

They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak willed woman, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires

Is that correct DorothyMae?

Stones:
You posted that the Lord told you JR was this woman. Never!

Nope to the first and yes to the second.

Not really but you assume.

What can you do?

Ask the question and listen to the answer.

It really isn't that difficult.
If memory serves me I responded to a question that you asked to someone else with the same question.

Then you came at me and basically felt you were trying to ridicule me and put me down.

If you want to ask questions then be willing to accept the answer, if the question is reversed then answer rather than make them feel like crappy unbelievers.
It's a game with these two. They are evil entities who enjoy slapping around Christians. Somebody tell me I'm wrong.

Slain from the foundation of the world. I would think this is spiritual. Before creation. A truth difficult to understand but is stated so is truth. Much like eternal security. Not being the work of man, but of God.
God sees the end from the beginning....and to THE eternal God, who is outside the constraints of time, which is like a snap of the fingers, it was already a done deal before he cast down the world in creation.

OSAS Believers KNOW HIM, intimately, personally, and HE IS IN US AND WE ARE IN JESUS CHRIST's SPIRITUAL BODY, and all of that is LITERALLY, not symbolism. AND you only CLAIM to KNOW what OSAS IS REALLY ABOUT, when we see how little you about OSAS TRUE BELIEFS.
The rocks on the ground have a better understanding than she does, and like Jesus said.....would cry out if men kept their mouths shut!

Maybe those people that you accuse would benefit more if you quoted Scripture from a better translation... "For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It [the grace of God] teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you."

So it's up to God to provide for us, isn't it. It's not by human effort, so stop pushing salvation by works. It's unscriptural!

If I allowed some “entities” in this thread to affect me I’d feel like a crappy heretic, cainologist, deceiver, headed for the lake of fire.

But thank God for the armor he provides me to quench all these darts.

The sacrifice of the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the word is finished.

Each believer’s conduct in that finished work is not finished until he dies or is taken up at the twinkling of an eye (if he is found to be worthy of such a transition). Therefore watch, for ye know not the hour your Master will return.
@preacher4truth sure he didn't

Ok I will tell you that I think you are wrong.

I would not say they are evil entities but deceived.

Genuine believers but doctrine is incorrect.

You definitely created it with you unsavory thoughts on the passage. You weren’t even addressed in the original post but stuck your nose into an exchange you weren’t a part of. So you and you alone started this. Move on. I can’t bear to read your posts on the matter and have been advised not to do so.
