Ephesians 5:3-8
“But fornication and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is fitting among saints. Let there be no filthiness, nor silly talk, nor levity, which are not fitting; but instead let there be thanksgiving. Be sure of this, that no fornicator or impure man, or one who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for it is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not associate with them, for once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light”

How is this verse conducive to OSAS?

How can you be saved and be involved in these sins and think you are still saved when it clearly states:
Be sure of this, that no fornicator or impure man, or one who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

This is what I read from those who claim OSAS:
Let no one deceive you with empty words,

I love this part especially:
Therefore do not associate with them, for once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light”

How can you be LIGHT and be sinning, even if you think you are SAVED?

Fornication is sexual sins:

And there are several sexual sins including Adultery.

How can a Christian be intimate with their neighbors spouse and think they are saved from what Ephesians states?

LOL .... just flows naturally rolls off the tongue. God says, I chose to elect those who elect Me.
Hmmm, I could have been more diplomatic admittedly. But, it was not a personal attack ... and, to be honest, I think it does point out where your logic leads to.
well you would be wrong, and if you continued to insist it, It would be called bearing false witness.
Again this history, I did not consider it an attack, I considered it a mock. It is what I have been trying to get people to stop doing, has no bearing on the conversation. and to most people is an insult.
Well, I admit I was mocking your idea. I don't see this as 'going over the line'. I could have dropped the 'just flows naturally rolls off the tongue'. You see it as going 'over the line'. I will try to be more careful and you can try to be more tolerant if that's O.K.

Re: Your fight with the others. That's your business.

I hope you can see why I feel this way. And I hope we can move on from this.

If I have offended you I ask your forgiveness
Well, no one knows the spirit of another, but I am closer to understanding you.

Let's move on. I will try to not put words into your mouth and not mock your ideas. You don't launch personal attacks; just attack my ideas and I will attack yours. I have 5 year plan to convert @EleventhHour to be a 5-pointer, may have to put you on the 10 year plan. ;)
Aside: probably won't work out, but we can say we tried.

OK, but let's say you just committed fornication and died. Paul claims in Ephesians you go to hell. So, how does your verse work if you sin and do not repent but die in that sin that Paul clarifies goes to hell?

By all rights, you died as a FORNICATOR!

oh my goodness -
so many saying the very 'same' thing with their own slant that their own church-s
has put upon their 'child-psyche', before they even had chance...
BUT.,
once we 'grow-up' and start to seek our Saviour's interpretation, we have to 'mature'
follow Him and His ways...

1 John 2:2
and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

1 John 4:10
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Romans 3:21-26
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Psalm 78:38
But He, being compassionate, forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them;
And often He restrained His anger
And did not arouse all His wrath.

If you have actually read the New Testament, SEXUAL SINS are the one issue the Apostles presented to the Gentile converts. Sexual sins are still the big NO NO today. So if you are involved in Sexual Sins, how do you think you are SAVED?

I have eternal salvation. Not due to anything I did or did not do. The work was done by God. Let me remind you also that to God sin is sin; nothing big or small makes a difference to Him. The consequences of sin is different but to God there is no degree.

You have absolutely no security if you believe you can do something which will eradicate the work of the Lord for salvation. You are eluding your salvation's security to what YOU can do to preserve it.

If the sin (fornication) is forgiven by God it is GONE - He does not remember it - and so for the believer (Christian) who is living a life of believing, confession, and repentance he is not a "fornicator" in God's eye because the sin is forgiven.

Sin is forgiven for the believer because of the blood of Jesus Christ (not because the believer "repents" of the sin).

But if the person is not a believer (Christian) when he commits the fornication, then one sin is enough to damn a person for all eternity.

Galatians 5:19-21
Results of the Sinful Nature
19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division,21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Then you must not believe in OSAS - am I right?

I am not denying what either of you are claiming, but you act as if you could just roll off of your secretary, committing blatant fornication when it is a sin and die on the spot, and God is still going to give you a free pass.

Where does it claim that at in the Bible?

The peddlers of Calvin on this thread are peddling a fraudulent Jesus....they say that God determined man A would be saved and man B would burn in hell and grace is irresistible. If this is true, their false Jesus failed....My bible is clear...God qould have ALL MEN TO BE SAVED and come to the knowledge of the truth....If Grace is irresistible and he would have all be saved....then why are not ALL SAVED?

See.....these Calvin followers are false and their dogma is easily taken apart!

It's NOWHERE in the BIBLE, it is how you have interpreted it to be!

So tell me, why should I listen to you when it's my Salvation on the line here?
