Too many people meditate on themselves and their problems, instead of contemplating the Word. They go through life feeling discourage, because of what they've gone through, or what somebody did or said to them.

It is time to shift focus; fix your gaze only on the Word. Meditate on the Word of GOD; and as you do, you become who and what GOD says you are. You're the cream of GOD'S Creation; the first and best of all that HE made. You are the manifestation of HIS Glory; HIS Dream come true. Meditate on the Word of GOD always.
The Word of GOD never fails (Luke 1:37).
Every Word of GOD proves true (Proverbs 30:5).

Thank You Glorious LORD for Thy Word.

popular pyschologists call it navel-gazing.

Christians ought to give up navel-gazing and start Word-gazing. ie. reading the Bible.
Our navels are not gonna give us answers anytime soon.

Gazing into my navel... gives me information on how long it has been since I last showered. It also makes a snide comment about how often I should shower. I hate an impertinent navel. :cautious:

Some meditation on my problems can be a good thing. I find solutions. The problems won't go away by ignoring them and reading the Bible instead.

Of course too much of anything - even Bible reading - can be a bad thing if it means neglecting something else that is necessary. There should be a balance in all things, including dwelling on problems. Too much is just useless brooding.

Its a guide for life, even agnostics would say that, but when i say it is genuine, and comes from a real place.
