Excellent surfer14.

I believe the next question is the following by crossnote:

"Where are men told to commune with God their own heart on their bed"? (don't fall asleep)
I don't quite understand the question. Sounds like a riddle. I'll go with "prayer".

No, not quite. At least I hope we don't commune to ourselves. Notice the word God was lined out in my original question.
There is a specific passage this is found in.

Yes, but notice, it doesn't say 'commune with God' as @AndyMaleh stated, but...

Psalm 4:4 ASV
[4] Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah

Psalm 4:4 AMP
[4] Tremble [with anger or fear], and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed and be still [reflect on your sin and repent of your rebellion]. Selah.

Psalm 4:4 CSB
[4] Be angry and do not sin; on your bed, reflect in your heart and be still. Selah

Psalm 4:4 ESV
[4] Be angry, and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. Selah

Psalm 4:4 NASB
[4] Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

It seems to be speaking more of pondering about God, rather than communing with God.

I do enjoy the Psalms......here's all of Psalm 4:

Psalm 4 King James Version (KJV)
4 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

3 But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.

4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.

6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

So, I'm thinking that "communing with my own heart" is to search my heart and make sure there is no wicked thing in it......we are to guard our hearts and keep a close eye on it.

Great question and great job answering it @Micaiah-imla! It caused me to go find the whole Psalm 4 and read it and ponder it's meaning. Thanks @crossnote!(y)

So, I'm going to throw a couple questions out there just to keep the game going but, it is @Micaiah-imla's turn to ask a question if he would like to do so.......:love:(y)

Q: What are the names of the two husbands of Ruth and which one is in the lineage of Christ?

Q: When Naomi and Ruth returned to Bethlehem, what name did Naomi want to be called instead of Naomi and why?

Elimelech and Boaz (Boaz being in the lineage of Christ).

Mara; because she felt the LORD dealt bitterly with her.

I’ll have to think of question...

All is correct except, Elimelech was Naomi's husband. Mahlon and Boaz were the two husbands of Ruth.

Yes, Boaz is in the lineage of Christ and yes Naomi wanted to change her name to Mara because her husband and two sons had all died in Moab which made Naomi feel the Lord had dealt bitterly with her.

Great job @Micaiah-imla!(y)

Here’s my question:

What does God use to search the inner most parts of man? And what is it likened to?
Great question.......I'm going to guess and say.......

God uses His Word to search the inner most parts of man and it is likened to a two edged sword.

Here’s my question:

What does God use to search the inner most parts of man? And what is it likened to?
Is it Proverbs 20:27 - the spirit of man and it is like a candle of the Lord?

Proverbs 20:27 King James Version (KJV)
27 The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
