Acts 11:19
Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and

Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

...
Gods Church, The Children Of God Were Scattered Abroad.

(Dual Covenant Theology) A False Teaching Of Man.

John 11:50-52KJV

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

The gospels are for the 12 tribes of Israel, the Church is the Israel Of God.

(The Twelve Tribes Is The Church)

James 1:1KJV
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

(Israel The Church)

Romans 9:6-8KJV
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Good day, Deuteronomy!

Here is my understanding regarding this: As was with Lazarus, so it is with those who came out of the tombs and went into Jerusalem. As well as Jairus daughter and everyone else who was brought back to life. They were resurrected back into their mortal bodies only to die again. No believer has yet been raised to receive their immortal and glorified bodies. This is what the spirits in heaven are waiting for, while those who are still alive are looking to be changed and caught up, immortal and glorified. The next group is the church.

"For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each (group) in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him."

Christ the first fruits; then, when He comes, those who belong to Him," infers that there will not be anyone resurrected immortal and glorified in between Christ's resurrection and the churches.
I agree 100%, there is one future resurrection of the Church to Glorified immortality.

However you left out the "BEST" part of the movie as you quote 1 Corinthians 15:23, and you leave out verse 24 that clearly shows when this resurrection takes place

There isn't a Millennial Kingdom On Earth After The Return Of Jesus Christ, The Glorified, Immortal, Eternal Kingdom Has Started.

"When Jesus Christ Returns, Then Cometh The End"

1 Corinthians 15:23-24KJV
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

John 6:39-40KJV
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 11:23-24KJV
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

so in Christ all will be made alive.

God will open the graves, given breath and they will live:

Thus saith the Lord God;

Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

Ezekiel 37

5 Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

15 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,

16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

28 And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

Its quite easy to figure it out, Mark 16 says these signs follow them that BELIEVE. The command to be baptized is for everyone.

If we took this logic and ran with it, none of the Pauline epistles apply either, they were written to the Corinthians, Colossians etc. Nothing applies to us

That is how snake handlers came about, they took mark 16:18 as for them

As for Catholics they would disagree with you about John 20:23. They are the probably the only group that takes that verse as for them

Who is right and wrong?

Hi Ahwatukee, I believe as you do concerning those who came out of their graves immediately after the Lord's Resurrection (that they were not resurrected with glorified bodies at that time .. though we have no idea what happened to them afterwards). Quite frankly, I find in fascinating that such a miraculous event was only reported in one of the Gospels, and that both their appearance AND disappearance remains shrouded in mystery, even today  Then again .. Deuteronomy 29:29.

I also believe that their mysterious appearance and disappearance is behind the belief of some that they were actually resurrected at that time, not just brought back to life, and that following their visit with the believers in Jerusalem, they were taken up bodily into Heaven.

Outside of what we've been told in those two verses, everything else is conjecture, so perhaps it is best not to speculate (though I look forward to finding out what happened to them in the age to come :)).

Do you reference the Old Testament to answer questions about the future.

give me an example.

You cannot disregard the Old Testament. It is historic, it is there for us to study.

It describes the future in great detail

Do you think God was joking?

I'll be happy to show you passages that apply.

Thank you for your comments.

P'-rebein asked,

Now, regarding regeneration..........

FYI

What is regeneration in the Bible?
  • Holman Bible Dictionary. Regeneration. (ree' gehn uhr ay' shuhn) The radical spiritual change in which God brings an individual from a condition of spiritual defeat and death to a renewed condition of holiness and life. The biblical doctrine of regeneration emphasizes God's role in making this spiritual change possible.
I will add the Macmillan English dictionary which defines REGENERATE as follows:

--- to develop something new again or to bring it to its original state or as Science would have it, to grow a new body part or to be grown as a new body part or organ. ----which brings us to the works of Christ Jesus on earth, which can be narrowed down to:

1. Atonement - He atoned for our sins and earned us the forgiveness of our sins by laying down his life for mankind and thereby reconciling us with God. He was manifested to take away our sins. (1 John 3:5). In this, we witness the degree or level of his love, humility and obedience to the will of his father, our father God Almighty.

2. Redemption – By his humble submission, implicit obedience, sacrificial death and resurrection, he made us free from the power of sin and death to the intent that we are no longer under the influence or power of sin, evil and death, thus, freeing us from their bondage.

3. Regeneration – He gave us a new “body” by replacing the seed of sin which Adam passed down to us with the seed of the righteousness of God and restored us to our original state, with no longer the consciousness of sin to dominate our life. It is like putting each of us back into the garden of Eden as the new Adam with the mandate to go into the world and multiply, and subdue the earth as God told the first Adam.

Adam and Eve disobeyed and sinned against God thereby planting the seed of sin in the body which yielded fruits of the flesh. Mankind continued to water the seed from generation to generation by developing and growing this consciousness of sin in their hearts and mind and yielding in abundance fruits of the flesh and darkness to the extent that it became impossible for man not to sin as the consciousness and motions of sin in the body drive him further into the abyss of darkness. Adam and Eve chose the material or fleshly path of life that is earthy and we, ourselves, have borne this image of the earthy by choosing to follow their footsteps and we have become earthy as well. But that is not our true selfhood which lies in righteousness. Likewise, our Lord Jesus obeyed the will of God and have cultivated the seed of the righteousness of God and purging away the sinful seed of disobedience. It is left for us to develop and grow on a continual basis this consciousness of God in our heart and mind to yield in abundance eternal fruits of the Spirit. This is the eternal path which we all are called to follow to find peace and eternal life here on earth and hereafter. We can do this by the renewing of our mind to prove that which is good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The Holy Spirit guides our feet through this renewal. As we have followed Adam and Eve to sin, we have to follow Jesus Christ to righteousness and perfection.

4. Teaching/Healing – embedded in his lifestyle. He declared and exemplified to us in words and works the righteousness of God and how to live in this righteousness, to be holy and perfect as our father which is in heaven. He gave us the understanding we need to eschew evil and sin and embrace good and eternal life, making ignorance no longer an excuse to disobey God. He taught us how to live above the false evidences of the physical senses and claim our heritage as children of God. The Holy Spirit today continues to teach, heal and guide our feet to our eternal inheritance

These works of Atonement, Redemption, Regeneration, Teaching and Healing are for all mankind and every one of us dwells in this grace (love and kindness) of God. Therefore, with this grace, we are no longer under the power of evil or sin. We all are empowered and capable of subduing all manner of evils including sickness, diseases, irrespective of their nature. We are all capable of taking dominion of the earth as blessed by our father --- if we follow the way of life declared to us by our Lord Jesus Christ.-

Jesus came to reconcile and unite us with God. He broke down the wall of partition between us, nailing on the cross the enemy which is sin. By destroying the body of sin, he makes this unity possible. But, just like in the time of old, our hardened hearts have continued to follow the way of life of sin and death instead of following the way of life in Christ rooted in love and spirit of holiness which guarantees us this eternal unity. Our father wants us to live heaven on earth now and always but we are not willing. He came to show us how to live heaven on earth but we are jettisoning His way and choosing our usual way of sin and death. It is our duty to be holy and perfect here on earth. It is the purpose of His will that we, His children, by His grace should live His kingdom on earth. When dealing with the Israelites of old, who were under the law, He confirmed, yes, He said, nobody was found righteous, all have sinned and come short of His glory. The same thing seems to be happening in our time.

His own arm brought salvation to earth and we live today to testify to His goodness and mercy. God is God yesterday, today and forever. It is the same God, merciful, compassionate, faithful and long suffering , Almighty, all in all , the Alpha and Omega, the I am that I am. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He continues to bear with our foolishness and iniquities but not even His mercy will stop the collective eternal judgement for He has purposed it to be. When His Will of this eternal judgement will be manifested physically on earth just as He manifested Himself in the flesh for our salvation, as He purposed and promised, what will be our fate? The transgressors will be destroyed totally. The end of the wicked shall be cut off and the righteous lives on. It is our choice.
There shall be no more sin and death as mortality yields to immortality.

Jesus said in John 12:48, he that rejects me and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the words that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. (old KJV). It is the same words he spoke and confirmed through the 12 apostles that will be judging the world in righteousness in the last day.

Jesus"s answer to Peter in Mathew 19:28 applies to all true believers. It shows the state of the inheritance of the Apostles in Christ as well as all true believers. When we interpret that verse in a restrictive sense, by the letter, we tend to loose the essence of the spirit in the word.

Regeneration in Matt 19 & Acts 1 are references to covenant promises God made to Abraham. A promise/covenant blessing of a savior, DONE! A land promise.

A partial list of Gods land covenant w/Israel: Jerusalem is a unique city, & is the "Capital of Israel" (Ps 87:1-2, Ps 132:13-14.

God established that the land of Israel belongs to Him (Lev 25:23, Deut 11:12.

God has placed His name in Jerusalem (II Chronicles 6:6, I Kings 9:3.

God established His covenant with Abraham & promises to bless those who bless Israel: (Gen 12:2-3, 13:14, 15:17-18.

God gives the exact boundaries of the promised land in Num 34:1-15 (also: Deut 1:8, Ex 2:24, Ex 6:4, 8 & Ps 105:8-11.

BTW:
King David "bought" the threshing floor (37 acre Temple Mt area) from Araunah the Jebusite. & built an altar to the Lord. So that a “plague may be held back from the people” (2 Sam 24:18, 21 & 1 Chron 21)

When Christ soon returns the gospel of the kingdom will be fulfilled, ending the time of the gentiles. The King is come from heaven to rule the world from Jerusalem.

John 14:3 - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
(NOTE: Pre-death, Jesus promises he will return. Question: Has Jesus came back yet?)

Matt 19:28 Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
(NOTE: Jesus promises Peter upon his return & during His rule from Jerusalem, Peter will be a judge)

Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
(NOTE: Lord, when will You restore again the kingdom to Israel? They understood/KNEW the promises God made to their forefather Abraham)

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons
(NOTE: Jesus said, the kingdom of Israel won't be revealed at this time)

Matt 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
(NOTE: Immediately after the tribulation)

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.
(NOTE: Immediately after the tribulation)

UPON HIS RETURN:
Zec 14:4 "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the south."
(NOTE: Mt Olive where Jesus prayed, ascended from & will retuen to! Jesus will physically STAND on Mt Olive)

Zec 14:
8 "And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be."
(NOTE: Former sea = Mediterranean sea, hinder sea = Dead sea)

9 "And the LORD shall be king over all the earth:
(NOTE: (Jesus, will be king over all the earth)

Isa 2:2 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted (that’s also the word the Bible uses for Christ’s position as King. He will be exalted) above the hills: and all nations shall flow unto it."
(NOTE: In OT translations the word kingdom & the word mountain are synonymous. So, His Kingdom rules over all the other kingdoms)

QUESTION: If there is only 1 resurrection on the last day. How would one explain the next 3 verses?

Zec 14:5 On that day His feet will stand on Mt Olive. The Mt will split in 2 from east to west. """Then the Lord your God will come, & all the saints with Him""".

Jude 14,15 Jesus Returns with Ten Thousand of His Saints
"""Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints""", To execute judgment upon all,

1 Thes 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, """at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints""".

NOTE: Zec say's; when Jesus returns & ALL the SAINTS are with HIM. Jude say's; Jesus returns WITH HIS SAINTS. That will execute judgment with Him. Paul say's; When Jesus returns to earth ALL HIS SAINTS are WITH HIM!

Another point related to earlier posts in this thread:
I believe scripture proclaims Jesus is the firstfruits of the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:20-28, Jn11:25) Lazarus must have died physically again at some point. Elijah raised the woman's son from the dead (1 Ki 17:23). Each of these spreaks to a raising from the grave. Neither speaks of a resurrection unto life eternal.

2ndly: I would argue that those seen in (Matt 27:52-53) are a first fruits resurrection wave/offering (the forefathers/patriarchs?) unto the Father. They go with Jesus as He is watched ascending from Mt Olive (Acts 1:11).

I believe the Rev books are written in chronological order.

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said," """Come up hither"""", and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter
(NOTE: I believe the come up hither/caught up together is the Rapture)

Rev 4:1 a door was opened in heaven:
1 Thes 4:16 the Lord himself shall descend from heaven

Rev 4:1 a trumpet talking with me
1 Thes 4:16 voice of the archangel, & with the trump of God

Rev 4:1 """come up hither""":
1 Thes 4:17 """"caught up together"""", & so shall we ever be with the Lord

Next Rev 4:10-11 before the tribulation & Christ's return. We see 24 elders in Heaven placing crowns before the Lord in worship.

28And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
(NOTE: The tribulation period is 7 years. Then Christ physically returns (in the clouds, all eyes will see Rev 1:7) King of kings Lord of lords. And begins 1000 yr REGENERATION PERIOD of ALL THINGS.

FINALL RESTORATION:
Isa 11:
1And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
(NOTE: Jesse was David's father & Christ comes thru this lineage)

4 with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

5 righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
(NOTE: When in history did the leopard lie down with the kid, the calf and the young lion fatling together; lead by a child & the sucking child shall play/dangle his hand in a venomous snake den & when did the bear eat straw? Answer: Under Adams rule pre-fall & Christ will RESTORE all things)

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
(NOTE: Every eye will see Jesus return. Question: Has this happened yet!)

Dan 7:
13 (B) one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven
(NOTE: Has this happened yet!)

14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
(NOTE: This hasn't/didn't happen after the destruction of the Temple in 70ad)

Are you afraid to answer this question because it's possible it destroys you Interpretation of the Kingdom?

I actually answered the question in my post. Maybe you were expecting a literal interpretation from me.
Please, see 2 Corinthians 3: 5-6. We should always seek for the spiritual interpretation of the word of God for then we can have the benefit of the life giving spirit in the word. When we interpret by the letter as I have seen you do, we loose the essence of the word.

Remain blessed

The 12 apostles are going to be regenerated and so are the 12 tribes of Israel.

How many generations of the 12 tribes are going to be regenerated.

Question: are there passages that describe dead Jews coming back to life
I suppose all the generations, the scripture says the dead in Christ will rise first, and he Christ is a descendent of Abraham. This implies that Abraham's descendants will be raised too, according to revelation most of the people will die from something, plagues and different other things of wrath that God will execute during the tribulation. It is understood that most of the vials will be literal and the devil will also be killing people. The earth will not have many people on it when Christ returns to reign. I don't think the bible literally says how many generations will be resurrected. I hope this helps you.

The gospels are for the 12 tribes of Israel, the Church is the Israel Of God.

(The Twelve Tribes Is The Church)

James 1:1KJV
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
The 12 Tribes mentioned in James 1:1 are Literal not Symbolic.

God changed Jacobs name to Israel (Gen 32:28). The 12 tribes of Israel are Jacob's sons. Each son received a portion land.

KJV Dictionary Definition: TRIBE, n. L. tribus.

1. A family, race or series of generations, descending from the same progenitor and kept distinct, as in the case of the twelve tribes of Israel, descended from the twelve sons of Jacob.

Vines Bible Dictionary of New Testament Words. Tribe:

a) The word "tribe" is never used in the Bible to refer gentiles. As follows: "Tribe" is found 297 times in the Bible, and ""every time"" it refers to the Israelites.

Find here a map of the Tribes of Israel

https://www.google.com/search?q=map...ECAgQIA&biw=1536&bih=754#imgrc=gDCorVhUzJ-9VM

Jesus was from the Tribe of Judah, Paul was from the Tribe Benjamin.

The literal scattering mentioned in James 1:1 began with the stoning of Stephen Acts 7:59-60
