Exo 20:1 God said to the people of Israel:
Exo 20:2 I am the LORD your God, the one who brought you out of Egypt where you were slaves.
Exo 20:3 Do not worship any god except me.
Exo 20:4 Do not make idols that look like anything in the sky or on earth or in the ocean under the earth.
Exo 20:5 Don't bow down and worship idols. I am the LORD your God, and I demand all your love. If you reject me, I will punish your families for three or four generations.
Exo 20:6 But if you love me and obey my laws, I will be kind to your families for thousands of generations.
Exo 20:7 Do not misuse my name. I am the LORD your God, and I will punish anyone who misuses my name.
Exo 20:8 Remember that the Sabbath Day belongs to me.
Exo 20:9 You have six days when you can do your work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day of each week belongs to me, your God. No one is to work on that day--not you, your children, your slaves, your animals, or the foreigners who live in your towns.
Exo 20:11 In six days I made the sky, the earth, the oceans, and everything in them, but on the seventh day I rested. That's why I made the Sabbath a special day that belongs to me.
Exo 20:12 Respect your father and your mother, and you will live a long time in the land I am giving you.
Exo 20:13 Do not murder.
Exo 20:14 Be faithful in marriage.
Exo 20:15 Do not steal.
Exo 20:16 Do not tell lies about others.
Exo 20:17 Do not want anything that belongs to someone else. Don't want anyone's house, wife or husband, slaves, oxen, donkeys or anything else.

it saddens my heart that some Christians I've spoken to can't tell me the basic ten commandments or even where in the Bible they are located.

did you notice punishment only last for 3 or 4 generations but blessings last for 1000 of generations :)?

now if a person has kids about when they are 30, that would be about 30,000 years of blessing due to the obedience of one man right?

You know AnandaHya, the Lord has given me an abundance of revelations, many of which have not been shared with anyone. I just record them and store them. Yet none of these revelations can compare to the grace of God. We can go as high in Christ as the grace of God allows. This is a humbling position, because as we go higher and higher we become less significant. We see all the more the extent of the grace of God to even allow us to suffer for his sake, which is an honor, since he would have to count us worthy to bear it.

And the sad thing is, none of these revelations can be understood by people who don't know Jesus. Because it all begins with the revelation of who Jesus actually is. And then all of these things open up so much knowledge that it is overwhelming. In this case, the ten commandments are seen in a new light, and so much wisdom and knowledge about this world and so many things. I had to forsake my understanding so that perhaps I would understand even a little about the Lord God. May Jesus bless you.
