I went to Long Beach for medical reasons and caught pneumonia on the way. The day I got out of the hospital I was struck by a hit and run driver Went to two more hospitals for about 3 more months while C19 hit the fan. I was transferred to an indepent living home for disabled seniors may 1st. My family is in Oklahoma but My medical problems have me stuck here until the pandemic subsides enough to get proper atteneion. The VA said it will most likely be October before I can see an MD in person.

I have Conjestive heart disease, hypertension, COPD, Degenerative disc and joint disease a dislocated sholder and knee currently. I also broke my tibia, humorus, and two ribs. the ball of my upper arm bone was broken off and sepperated from my right clavicle and a screaming backache. I have no car. Just a wheelchair so stuck is the operative word, for now.
Sorry for your troubles Bob, I was sitting here whining about my ailments until I read this!
Praying for the best recovery for you brother. Stay strong!

Oh Jesus, please put Bob together again!! What a precious soul he is. Give Him what he needs right now, please be near and allow him to sleep without pain. Restore him to his younger days, when he could ride his motorcycle and travel. Get him back to his family in Your perfect timing. Pour out Your grace on Him and let him know that you have heard his prayers. Please protect him where he is staying from any further sickness.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen you around here in a while......

I’m just sayin it’s very annoying, so I won’t be going into the store very often for awhile. I wear a mask everyday at work, I need a break from all of that. Especially the negativity it brings :(
Maybe you should try to look at it in a positive way. Wearing a mask might be one of the things that help you stay well. So that's a positive, right? :)

Aaaahhh... I wear a mask everyday at work as well. From what it sounds like, if they're shutting down more things, Gregory's question of 'where are we' might ping She is Legendary in the US with me? Cali bob? You in Cali? I don't want to blow our cover of anonymity. Gregory... your location has me stumped. I don't think it's possible for you to be in Europe, if you're that far ahead. So... Indonesia?

:rolleyes::(
sorry,
not even going to take time to read something I have read (or read similar) numerous times before.......

being a primary caregiver for people who have high risk factors AND knowing more than one person who has died from it, AND more than one person who has battled this, one who recovered AFTER 10 WEEKS of battling this (who tells of the hell he went through and wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy)

now with that being said, do you really think I am willing to take risk?

Yes, that is a positive, doesn’t mean i don’t wanna wear one, but that does make sense.

I don't need to be told. When I rode motorcycles I usually wore a helmet on dry days and always on frosty or rainy days. We can wear bandannas to protect others too if you don't like the masks.
So did you ever travel far when you rode?

Ditto. I also work in healthcare. Being on the front lines, definitely can change a person's perspective. I do think it's such a glorious thing to have the ability to shift perspective.

Oh yeah. From Long Beach Ca. to lawton Ok by way of Vegas over Hoover Dam. in about 48 hrs. I got caught in dense fog and had to stop for the night in Winslow Az. and the bank put a hold on my atm card by the time I got to Amarillo Tx. and so I got held up till morning again. There's a statue of Don Henley and Glen Frye (Eagles) standing on a corner in downtown Winslow. I was trying to follow whats left of Route 66 from Barstow but side tracked thru Vegas and cut back thru Kingman.

You must have had one heck of a cushy seat!! What an adventure! Sometimes the side tracks are the most fun part of travel. Well, I guess unless you're sort of stuck in LA with a lot of broken bones. Do you also have family in Long Beach?

I made the seat cushion out of carpet padding and marine grade vinyl. Cut the passenger 1/2 off and mounted a trunk for the trip with tools, spark plugs etc.

My family followed me to Oklahoma because of the cost of living & quality of life. I came here to see about getting cataract surgery before the pandemic. I'm alone here, but not really. The Lord will always be with me.

How long does it take you to get to the ocean? I have heard that going to the ocean in Australia is not like it is in the US. Lots of creatures that want to eat you for dinner there, aye?
nearest ocean is 4 hours drive south of here. And I don't generally eat crustaceans . Is the sand white where you are , or those pebbles I see in the UK?

I found this on one of my adventures. I live in the states, but not near any sand at all. I LOVE the beach though and when we're not pandemic-ing, I like to be in my car driving to the nearest one, even if it's 12 hours away. Hmmm.... 4 hours away. Lol, I was asking if the creatures wanted to eat YOU!!! I don't know anything about Australia. I need to study it more. I did hear that some of the beaches have very dangerous sea creatures, like jellyfish that could sting you if you waded into the water. Is that true?
