Superredhawk is a great gun. Overbuilt. Yes, you can brag about this gun!... because I own one too! hahaha
I think the front part of trigger guard is a little thin to be honest, but it has held up fine. Looks like it could be susceptible to a stress fracture though.

I like the secure way you can mount a scope on it.

I need a dependable and inexpensive 22 target pistol. Any suggestions?

oops, just saw the "inexpensive" part.
I am fond of Browning Buckmarks they have a great trigger, the S&W Victory is a very reasonable 22 semi auto. I have a S&W model 41 that is always my favorite. What fits your hand best? Do you have any semi auto's now?
Do Revolvers do anything for you?

No Revolvers. We have Ruger 9s and pocket Ruger 22s. Not into collecting, just self defense.

just talked myself into getting a Victory, I like the threaded muzzle.
The Firestorm or Bersa 22 is a dandy little semi auto, I have one, same frame as the 380.

It likes minimags, needs a lot of snap to run well, that's ok for self defense.

Do you mean serious target shooting, or simply shooting at targets? The Ruger MK series are usually pretty accurate... and I recently purchased a Taurus TX 22.... it's as accurate as I can be with my old eyes, and it is a striker fired 17 round pistol. The trigger is actually pretty decent on it.... and it has been utterly dependable. It was also under $300.

I'd recommend seeing if you can find a 22 conversion for your current centerfire pistol.

Hornet guy- you mentioned the pt111 dome time ago, I have looked at them and am intrigued, a very reasonable price and dependability is there, some years ago there were some problems but I believe they have come a long way as the major brands have price themselves out of range for many people. The 17 rounds capacity sounds great as well. Thanks for the update.

How about the Browning Buck Mark Camper 22 LR 5.5 in. Barrel 10 Rds Pistol Stainless Steel. I've been offered one for $350. When I have my grandson 12, we can shoot 200 or more rounds. 9mm gets to be a little expensive, and my 22 pocket Ruger doesn't make much of a target pistol.

If it were offered to me, I would purchase it, they have a very good trigger out of the box, be careful on the first round, Ruger's tend to have a heavy trigger, you will be surprised.
