Just curious whether or not anyone else out there goes to a Disciples of Christ church. I have yet to meet anyone on here who does (other than myself, that is)
If you aren't sure what this denomination is, the official website is here:

#1. Women shouldn't be teaching nor preaching in the assembly. If men are present, then women are not allowing the men to be submissive to Christ in being leaders in the assembly.
#2. None of the four priorities of the Church has listed preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I would believe that would be the main priority, but as it is, its priorities speaks of the church more than Christ.
#3. Its identity is not about the faith in Jesus Christ but a "movement of wholeness in a fragmented world". Again, the church is speaking of itself and the glory of that church in its works.
#4. Although the "stated" mission of the Church is to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ, its words and actions are centered on social issues of their community thus boasting of making the difference and not the difference Jesus Christ makes.
John 5:31If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
John 7:18He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
2 Corinthians 4: 5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
John 3:30He must increase, but I must decrease.
Let others testify of the good works of the church and let the church testify of Jesus Christ. If the church are doing good works, then they need not testify that they are doing it. The community will testify.
