Between 1978 and 1982 I became interested in the same question. My then research (without Internet) showed that there is a concerted effort by some of the richest and powerful people on earth to set a social and economic order to suit them. This plan embraces the following:
By Nixon's rule the obstacle of the gold standard was finally removed. Of the six points above, only point #6, food, is not fully controlled. The only good news is that the multiplicity of organizations and personal ambitions and disputes sometimes cause them to trip over their own feet. This Elite is terrified of the people. Finally, whether people believe in a conspiracy on this scale or not, we Christians know four things:
- Reduce the earth's population by ⅔. The mechanism for this is by Euthanasia, Abortion, Famine and Birth-Control
- The Elite would rule sovereignly under seeming democracy
- The Elite would have a large police/military to enforce their sovereignty
- The social system would be Feudal. That is, the common man would own no land but be tenants to produce the needs of the Elite
- A cashless economy. The Elite would trade in gold and the rest would trade their services for their need
- Religion and marriage would be removed
- The only Church allowed would be the Wicca - the revering of nature
- Already in the Middle ages this conspiracy existed and seems to be lead by the Rothschild Family of bankers
- The breeding ground for this conspiracy was, and is, the Freemason Lodges at the higher levels (Scottish Rite 30 to 33rd degrees)
- The Roman Catholic Church is the most powerful single player. Politics is made from the pulpit
- The leading organization for demolishing economies is The Club of Rome
- Control money by National Reserve Banks owned by private people
- Control Governments by lending them money
- Control the Press by ownership and by central news service (like Reuters or UPI)
- Control education by Government control and syllabuses (the same government of point #2)
- Control energy either by straight ownership (Rockefellers), or by owning the governments
- Control food by owning the stock exchange and later by genetic manipulation (seed from a laboratory not a farmer)

I could post links to the Occult sites, but I am uncertain if the Forum owners and administrators would allow it. I will express that I have been actively involved in the Counter Cult Ministry for 20 years, and am most seasoned to be an expert on this subject. Long ago, in the Oregonian Newspaper there was an article saying that they saw Jimmy Carter go to a meeting in the Netherlands that they said was a meeting of the rich and powerful. Everyone learns something different from it, but what impressed me was Tolstoy showing that dictators were the outgrowth of the thoughts of the general public. A study of what brought on Hitler confirms this. Each one of us who has given our life to the Lord has power in our world.
It might be only a Jewish custom to repeat this every day, but it is powerful and I love it. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words which I command you today shall be upon your heart. When the nations are compatible with Agenda 21 then the leaders will come together for they will all have the same format as each other.
The leaders want to come together, but they have to work on the people to make them compatible as one.

We can very easily turn this into a Bible Study, as this is a Biblical Conspiracy pertaining to Mystery Babylon.
I would suggest starting with Acts 15:19-29, with Matthew 7:13-27, Matthew 24, 2Timothy 3, Philippians 3, 2Corinthians 6:14-18, 2Peter 2-3, Jude, 1John, 2John, 3John, Revelation 2-3, 18 to be used in conjunction with Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Kings and Chronicles to help wake people up to the Biblical truth of the deceivers that have crept in unawares into the Churches to deceive from within, with Freemasons usurping positions as Pastors, Deacons, Elders, and Sunday School Teachers, as they hold and teach both the doctrines of Balaam and the Nicolaitans, of which has resulted numerous Churches, such as a Baptist Church in Florida to set up images of idols of Buddha, Confucius, and a false Jesus in their entrance, as well as leaders from all Denominations meeting with Pope Francis, begging the man that had the image of the idol of Molech set up, to "forgive" them and to take them back into Rome's fold.

If any of these Theories were true the best friend of these groups would be the conspiracy theorists.
It reminds me of an episode of The Office. Michael spread a rumor he later regret sharing. So to hide the one true rumor he fabricated numerous others. The truth was hidden among the various falsehoods.
A conspiracy theorist is more likely to be Part of the conspiracy than exposing it. Or to be the blind puppet. Either way it's damaging and amounts to nothing more than boy crying wolf.

My view on this, which may not be the right one, is that the world is a lot bigger, and society a lot more complex than many seem to think. I would guess that the majority of conspiracy theories are not technically possible. They are fantasies that would not work in reality. They are fictional novel material, that can only play out in our heads or in a 2 hour Hollywood movie script where facts don't matter and things like technical constraints and reality does not get in the way.
