'what p meant is = since you are questioning if Jesus is Messiah or not, give your thoughts.
just go with why YOU think so , or not.
I only have a minute, so this will have to be very brief:
Consider the following:
Daniel 9:24a , 25 , 26a (where a very specific "time-prophecy" is given):
24 Seventy weeks are decreed for your [Daniel's] people and your [Daniel's] holy city [...]
25 Know and understand this: From the issuance of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Messiah, the Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of distress.
26 Then after the sixty-two weeks, the Messiah will be cut off and will have nothing.
Then the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. [...]
The 69 Weeks [/'sevens'] total (7 + 62) were concluded on the very day that Jesus DID the Zech9:9 thing (re: "Jerusalem" / "the
city") and SAID the Luke 19:41-44 thing (also re: "Jerusalem" / "the city"--see also Lk21:23,20 and Matt22:7 re: the city... in the events of 70ad, which followed the Cross [32ad], just as the SEQUENCE in the Dan9 passage shows to unfold).

Just to be sure of what you want, could you give, say, a half dozen claimants who were predicted in the Torah. Thanks.
Well then your title, and following question is grammatically misleading.
"There have been many claimants to the title of the Messiah" ... How many?
"as predicted in the Torah". ... Where are the many claimants predicted?
"How can we know Jesus is the right one?" ... This confirms the "many" claimants for Jesus is one of them.
And, pray tell us, what is "a logical fallacy"? Just so we can answer with no traps.

Matthew 11 tells us that when he was in prison, John ('the Baptist') sent word to Jesus: "Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?" Jesus responded, "The blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them." All these 'signs' were done by Jesus, and all were prophesied in the Old Testament. Nobody else has done similar things and also fulfilled the many other prophecies of the Messiah.

His resurrection seals the identification of Jesus of Nazareth as the promised Messiah in my mind, BuffyLou.
In that case you should do what I told you to do. Read and study the Gospels, and simply believe them. They make it crystal clear that Jesus of Nazareth was not only the Messiah/King of Israel but the Savior of the world.
