Yes the (bible)Is my trusted source for It Is the WORD of GOD expressed through men that wrote the books, old and also new

And I believe when James said show me your works without your faith and I will show you my faith by my works was talking about how the body expresses what It proclaims and that’s the Only expression there Is to the WORD of GOD that I trust but I don’t see how anyone could talk to GOD

And say I know you said In your WORD that this or that Is wrong but the pope said doing It the way he said to do It Is ok ,Is It ok GOD?

That sounds strange don’t you agree?
It may seem that way. And, if God had not entered human life I would feel much the same. When Jesus walked on earth divine authority came with Him. It doesn't makes sense to me that God would introduce eternal realities into human history, then tell us to perpetuate them, for them to be temporary.

The Popes opinions aren't elevated to truth they're still opinion. The first infallible statement by a Pope was

Matt 16: 16
Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

If you were a bible loving Catholic, you would not have rejected the three sets of scriptures I posted on grace being a position that a believer is placed into by faith and salvation!
Yeah I would.

The antichrist will not war with the roman church, many believe he will actually use her until has has no use for her and she becomes a threat. Then he will just destroy her (Babylon the mother of Harlots)
hmmmm. I was wondering what was going on.☺

well she is right. I am very familiar with Catholicism as my father was Catholic before accepting Christ. And believe me, he tried very hard to be a good Catholic, including going on his knees up rough stone stairs trying to get an answer to prayer.

now I see you are Catholic which is why I say the above. I had a few best friends who were also Catholic and my SIL was Catholic. So, no triggers here. I'm not Protestant. I am a Christian and do not identify with the political and geographical pursuits of either side, for example King Henry the viii being excommunicated by the pope who would not grant him an annulment. So then the reformation was launched and Catholicism became less popular. I am sure that was what God intended, mind you He used it to some extent, but that's God for you. Able to turn things around for the good.

Henry also greatly benefited with regards to filling his coffers with Cromwell as his chief minister, ordering 800 monasteries to be disbanded with their lands and gold/treasures, taken for the crown. Interestingly, Henry never became a Protestant himself, having been indoctrinated into Catholicism and suffering from the usual superstitions

actually, you are calling others false who disagree with YOUR faith. I guess you missed that though?

you were being evasive about the fact you are Catholic. let's be honest and if you want to employ the use of the word 'triggered', then extend it to your particular beliefs and the fact you are so quick to defend them. Fine. defend them. but you know very well that those who are not Catholic do not believe in some of the most 'sacred' things that you do.
I wasn't evasive. If it seemed pertinent I mention it. I would think it wouldn't matter.

As a general rule I present a more encompassing truth that is generally accepted or is not reasonably refuted that xposes the error by contrast.

What’s your take on post 571?

I already did. The sacraments are Things Jesus told us to do. The Church did these things and experienced the Grace, then explain what was happening as best she could. That is what the faithfully experienced for over a millennium. Then few hundred years ago what you believe emerged as a protest."the sacraments do not confer Grace. Believe me for Catholics who receive Grace from the Sacraments your denial is odd. Its like we say the meatloaf smells good and you say meatloaf has no smell. Huh?
Why does God set up one system in one "church" and then confer grace differently with non-Catholics?

There is no difference in the way Grace is conferred. The Sacraments are visible signs of an inward action

I understand but I can't get past Catholics staying Catholic and saying the pope can go against GODs WORD and I still am not going to leave the Catholic doctrine.

I don't get that part.

Thats how it is with these guys often times, they are the most sensitive brittle people who love to insult others but cant take it back.
I had to see who you were responding to and of course it was the disgrace to U.S. Army with no filter on his mouth, verbal diarrhea. There is a cult of lawlessness and sin defending in that thread, its one big echo chamber, one guy was bragging about going to a casino and asking if he is still saved, and got showered with likes, oh how humble and holy. I wonder who started this cult of no fruit no repentance no holiness?
You should not be speaking like this neither about a member, or a former member of the armed forces, without solid evidence backing your case.

Since you haven’t presented any evidence I take it that your claim is circumstantial and coincidental, at best, but most likely is raised for harassment purposes.

Unfortunately they live to do this on here daily.

There is no reconciling with them either, any offer gets flat out rejected. That raises a huge red flag and shows what we're dealing with here.
This is how you and your minions have been treating me and others in here as well.

It's not the Popes job to change doctrine but to guard it. That's why so many Catholics are up in arms about this current Pope. It's true a Pope can teach heresy and no one can stop him at the time. This has happened before. A later Pope does have the authority to correct a previous Popes heresy. Keep in mind that the heresies were not ex cathedra.

Anyone with any knowledge of the history of the papacy knows how laughable claims such as papal infallibility are even when speaking "ex cathedra."

Another Augustinian invention is responsible for the faults of the Catholic church today, though unlike with Calvinism and such the error is with his struggles with the Donatists not Pelagius.

When the institution itself became the keeper of the sacraments instead of any faithful believer being able to adminster them the entire enterprise started to go down hill.

It's really amazing how much wreckage one man did to the Latin church but its unsurprising considering the undue amount of faith is placed in his teaching.

The Sacraments always were kept by the institution. They flow from the Apostles. If everyone and anyone could bind and loose chaos would result.

What if the scriptures are twisted to fit a false belief and that false belief entrenched the reader in a mindset opposed to Christ.
What if a man twisted scriptures into a false belief and had the power of the worlds greatest army to enforce his heretical beliefs on the people for thousands of years. Of a belief that is apposed to christ, and it has been so long his own people think they are following god when in reality the are as apposed to him as the jews were before them

Grace is unearned. We do the works of god because of grave, not to have it conferred to us.
not of works less anyone should boast

Once again, they can not see it, for whatever reason, they think they do no wrong, while attacking others and judging them for doing what they do themselves.

It’s not his job to guard scripture it is the HS’s. God promised his word would not return void. It is his power not some man who claims to be his representative.
God always sent in twos. He did that for a reason. So no one man had great power, if that one man went astray no one could stop him.
