If Jesus is God, why did he ask why God had forsaken him?

Satan is attracted to the church, for Satan's goal is to undermine God for Satan wants us to accept evil as we accept the good of God. You are going to lose, God created Satan even and God will prevail.
The reason Jesus quoted Psalm 22 was to remind his confused followers standing there before him. They did not understand that the Messiah had to die and be resurrected. They though he was going to restore the nation of Israel right there and then. With his last few minutes of life, he taught and comforted the people. The prophecy of Psalm 22 was being fulfilled right before their eyes.
Jesus, the second Adam had "emptied" himself to be a man. John 1:14 "and the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us". Jesus, now the man, but filled with the Holy Ghost, and sent by God to live a perfect life of obedience, fulfilled the requirements for a sinless redeemer. On the cross, Jesus, the sacrificial Lamb, who knew no sin, but now becoming a curse for us (cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree) in which God laid on him humanities iniquities. This is the point where Jesus, the man, cried out "Why have you forsaken me"? When the crucified Christ was raised from the dead, three days later, he did so with his redeemers body, and returned to God, and there God has highly exulted him. Jesus, the word of God MADE flesh, now sits on the right hand of God.

I think one needs to be careful on Jesus "emptied" Himself and what that means since He always God.
The words "emptied himself" that I used refers to Philippians 2: 6-8. " who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be Equal with God: BUT, made himself of NO reputation, and took upon him THE FORM OF A SERVANT, and WAS MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross".
