Jesus never died to save anyone. His death never ' saved ' anyone . You were not saved by the death of christ . This is not christianity . Without the resurrection we are not saved . Jesus saves by His life . We are saved by the death , the Burial and the resurection and Trusting this for salvation . Simply believing the death , burial and resurrection according to the scriptures .. believing The Gospel pleases God and by Faith being the access to Grace ( Rom 5.2 ) then God saves . He saves us because it pleases God by the foolishness of the preaching to save those that believe ( 1 cor 1.21 ) Then we are predestined to the Adoption (Rom 8 ,23 23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.)
This is after we believe. No one is predestined to be saved . We are predestined after we are saved to THE adoption . Till then we recieve the SPIRIT OF adoption .
As paul said to the corinthian church, his desire for them one one thing, to know of the ressurection

Is it faith alone when Calvinists add ' but that Faith is never alone ' ?
Another doctrine of Calvin in the churches.

Casts doubt, and the question becomes..........."how much work do I need to have so I know my faith is not alone"

Yes

and again, not only calvinist say it, if any Christian does not say it, they would worry me,

if you claim you have faith but have no works, can that faith save you

you do Not claim you have faith in someone yet never do even one thing they ask, that is not faith, that is claiming something that is not true

Ask an arminian? Or a legalist, in fact do we not ask them this al, the time?

inever heard a calvinist make such a statement,

If anyone in here thinks they have faith, yet has never done one work for god by being obedient to even one command

i question your faith here and now! and your teaching licentiousness. God be the judge

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

This is how is saved

not what happens after one is saved.

can you not tell the difference by now?

So you are saying, if you do no works, after you are saved by faith without works, you are not really saved?

You can see how contradictory that doctrine is?

No

actually James said this

why? Because true faith is never devoid of works

even Paul said this, we are saved by grace through faith not work, saved to what? Do works

As I have already discussed with you before, James was writing to the 12 tribes of Israel, regarding their salvation doctrine during the Tribulation period.

The Body of Christ, who would have taken their salvation doctrine from Paul, would have already been raptured into heaven.

Which is worse?

To hold my doctrine?

or

to try to make Paul and James agree, until you end up with a doctrine like, "if you do no works, after you are saved by faith without works, you are not really saved"?

I'm not arguing with your brother, but what do you think it takes for a new Christian to go onto good works? Discipleship? Bible study? Good preaching? Like minded believers? What if none of these are possible or available? Can the new born Christian find themselves falling back into the world's system? Can they remain a babe in Christ their whole life?

In your philosophy shouldn't that say ALL ARE CALLED????????

Many are called but few are chosen, isn't that CEMENTING the theology of Calvinism?

If only the chosen can be at the wedding of the King and all others are cast into outer darkness then the bible is WRONG, in your view. It should state many are called but only those who made the right choice can get in.

Maybe they'll make a whole new bible just for this philosophy. Surprised they haven't already.
Not hardly pal....it shoots down your irresistible grace rigmarole....

Can a new born christian continue to live in sin?

You trust the interpretation of one man who interpreted another man.

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
Acts 17:11

No one who searches the word finds Calvinism unless they were indoctrinated first.
The Bereans found truth because they were given the truth.
The Lord Jesus Christ is a Calvinist, He did study scripture from a young age in the synagogue and when He began His Ministry at the age of 30 He taught the same gospel as John Calvin, so we can say He is a Calvinist as well.

so we are saved through a denomination?

and luck?

you have quite the skewed outlook on things and here you are calling yourself a Christian, so does that mean you have cracked the code and won a ticket to heaven?
I'm just describing the reality that applies to all self professing Christians. I'm not sure if you're aware of the reality that the church is divided into thousands of denominations. Many of these preach entirely different and conflicting gospels, they all claim to posses the truth and accuse other denominations of apostasy.
Those who claim that their denomination preaches the true gospel are seen by others as arrogant and divisive. So how do we know who the "true believers" are? - answer = we don't. There's no way of knowing who Gods elect are, only He knows that.
