You don't have to belong to the twelve tribes to take the epistle of James to heart. While addressed to Hebrew Christians, it is at the same time addressed to all Christians.Which of the twelve tribes do y’all belong?
But what do you think? It all boils down to the question that I posed in my last paragraph.

Hebrew Christians are equated as the twelve tribes in Scripture? Where is that found? Every time I see that phrase “twelve tribes” it is always a reference to the entire nation of Israel and never a called out group from that nation.
James 1:26 - If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. This man's religion is vain, empty, devoid of power, lacking in content, nonproductive, dead and of no eternal value. James 1:27 - Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. There is absolutely nothing wrong with "pure and undefiled religion" but there is certainly something wrong with "impure and defiled religion."

The Church at Corinth are members of the body of Christ so any doctrine given to them is doctrine to any member of the body of Christ. Doctrine given to the twelve tribes is for any member of the twelve tribes. To which tribe do you belong? Are you a part of the body of Christ or part of the twelve tribes?
James 2:18 - But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
Why cant the members of the 12 tribes be part of the body of Christ? Clearly these are saved people being written to, talking about let elders come and pray and so on and so forth? Why would unsaved people be sent such a letter.

Every reference throughout Scripture is always to the entire nation of Israel. The term twelve tribes is never used for Christians. Notice it does not say to the Jewish Christians out of the twelve tribes, but simply the twelve tribes.
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
When will the twelve tribes of Israel be scattered abroad? Many prophetic references in the OT point to Jacob's trouble, the tribulation.
It is obvious that at least part of the audience has not received the word and their souls are not saved.

You are a day late a dollar short, Israel was already scattered when James wrote..... He says it at the very beginning, he is sending the letter to these people, in the 1st century. Israel has been scattered before Jesus even showed up, with many of the people staying babylon during their captivity. It became even worse after 70AD where even more people were scattered.
