It would seem you are approaching the idea of Peter as those who lord it over other faith . Salvation has nothing to do with Peter or the word apostle. Sola scriptura makes those who lord it over the faith of others without effect.
Neither of your sentences makes sense.

ok it seems like you have a unusual theology which I'm trying to understand . Are you a Christian ? It sounds like your still under the old testament still ?
There are many churches who preach that the Body of Christ began at Acts 2, so they will tend to preach like him. Whatever Peter declared to Israel and the Jews in Acts 2 and 3, they will take it as also instructions for them.

This is despite realizing in Acts 10 that Peter did not want to go to the gentiles.

They say 'what must we do " not what must I do to be saved " . Things different are not the same .
Why did Peter bother to state that EVERYONE is required to do something that has no spiritual significance one way or another?

Something else I noticed, not one apostle responded with "Say this prayer."

However, if you are comfortable with your conclusion than so be it.

Yes angels are also not the normative experience for church age salvation either . Thats why The Acts OF The Apostles is not the book to look for how we are saved today.
All of the God-inspired books of the bible were recorded for every generation to see what God expects of mankind in various areas. It's contents provide a road map for instruction in righteousness. (2 Tim 3:16) The Book of Acts records how people were reborn spiritually; an essential part of becoming part of the church body. No where is it recorded that Peter's instructions were ever rescinded. Rather, his initial instructions are seen being carried out by individuals who accepted his words as God's truth.

It is imperative for people to know what the bible says not what other's say it says. Ignorance will not be an excuse. Everyone is going to be judged by it:

"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." John 12:48

Lastly, the way one is reborn was so crucial that God sent an angel from heaven to Cornelius telling him where to look. (Acts 10:44-48) This record alone gives credence of what one can expect takes place upon following the instructions given by Peter on the Day of Pentecost.

So back to the topic, in mark 16:16, what do the Jews have to believe about Jesus?

Early acts indicated they had to believe he is the son of God

Do you agree with that?
Yes. Without belief in Jesus one's water baptism would be an empty ritual. On the other hand, when one believes in Jesus and the need to be water baptized their obedience to baptism holds spiritual significance. Jesus said both are necessary in order to be saved.

Would you agree that 1 cor 15:1-4 does not state the necessity of believing that Jesus is the son of God, in order to be saved?

Your comments neglect to point out the real significance of the Acts 10 record. Peter's lack of understanding that all peoples would be required to fulfill the instructions is of no consequence. God orchestrated what occurred. This truth should open peoples eyes to the truth that God is in control and His ways are not always understood until after one steps out in faith and obeys His leading. Peter makes this clear through his interaction with the Jewish Council in Acts chapter 11. Who was he to withstand God?

Believing Jesus is the son of God as witnessed in His death, burial and resurrection is an essential part in one being saved.

Notice Paul's exact words in 1 Cor 15:3, "...For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Paul's comment that he told them "FIRST OF ALL" about Jesus death, burial and resurrection points to the fact that there was more to the gospel message he delivered to them.

Throughout chapter 15 Paul is specifically addressing erroneous beliefs about the resurrection of the dead. We also see water baptism was part of what they had learned from him from verse 29. Paul even mentions why bother to be baptized for dead people if there is no resurrection. Of course, being baptized for anyone other than yourself is not a biblical concept. But Paul's comment points to the born again Christians understanding that their water baptism was a necessary component of their salvation.

There's about 5 different ways to be saved in the ACTS OF THE APOSTLES . This should tell you the book is a historical description not a prescription .

Acts 2 .38 is to ISRAEL .
Again, the same message continued to be presented to others. Do you realize that Paul's instructions to the twelve disciples from Ephesus, that parallel Peters, took place 20 years after Peter's message at Pentecost.

Since you must not have taken the time to examine the accounts associated with the God-given instructions presented by Peter. See the following events:

Acts 8:12-17 (Samaritans-half jewish-half gentile)
"But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost
:
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Acts 10:44-48 (Gentiles)
While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
And HE COMMANDED them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Peter's comments to the Jewish Council about the above event:

Acts 11:13-14
And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

Acts 19:2-6 (Disciples who did not realize they had to water baptized in Jesus name)
He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

1¶Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you a portion...no THE GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3¶For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: The ' First of all ' is simply as he goes on to explain in the following verses . Your adding an imaginary ' extra ' . You may as well include anything you want .. " yeah he first of all want to share the death , burial and resurrection and then ,foot washing , Baptism in Jesus only , keeping the sabbath , the 613 laws , loving God , tithing, church member ship to be saved . No He says exactly what the Gospel is and no mention of H20 .

I see but one way and it began when Jesus said it would. Read Luke 24:47.

Please provide the 5 ways you see that a person can be saved from the Book of Acts.

Thanks!

Notice the instruction for the Church given After Acts not during the transition in Acts .. The clue is ' ACTS ' . Its the ACTS OF ! THE !!! APOSTLES!!!!!!
Acts is not the pattern for the Church .
wake up smell the coffee. This is the issue with denominations today " oh were an ACTS 2 Church . " " oh yeah, well we are more of a Mathew 5 kinda church " ' oh we are definitely the Authentic full Gospel church , we sold everything, all our possessions, we keep all the commandmants , we don't watch TV, we follow everything Jesus taught in the red letters ' ect

The gospel entails the message of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection, and what is required of everyone in association with it as Peter instructed at Pentecost; repentance, water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus for the remission of sin and receiving the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38) Obedience to the entire message is what brings about one's spiritual rebirth. The other things you mention play no part in the rebirth experience.

Things such as foot washing, keeping the sabbath, and tithing pertain to behavior expected from born again children of God after they are born into the family.

The apostles were the first ones sent forth with the NT salvation message that was to be carried to the entire world. Jude 3 tells people where to look to find the salvation common to everyone. It says to search out what was first delivered to the saints/apostles. The obvious answer in finding out what was FIRST delivered to the apostles is to examine the book that outlines the ACTS of the Apostles. Without that foundation one can make up whatever doctrine suits them. However, with that foundation everything in Paul's Epistles makes perfect sense.

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."

Formulating a doctrine requires taking into consideration all that the word states about any given subject(s).

"The word contains subjects to which there are more than a single reference. In order to understand the subject every reference to them must be gathered and considered as a whole. God gave each author certain fragments to record making it necessary for an interpreter to assemble these fragments. Only as these parts are pieced together can the full truth be seen as a whole.

This principle requires that no single verse relevant to any specific subject be left out in formulating the doctrinal teaching on that subject. The full truth of a subject can only be realized by a consideration of its complete mention in Scripture. No one reference can be used to contradict another, rather only to qualify it." So can someone recieve the Holy Spirit before being Baptised ? And or laying on Hands ? How about Just believing , no repentance mentioned? Or how about no Tongues ? All are examples given in Acts ? What about in the Name of the Father as , The Son and The Holy Ghost? as Jesus Gave Or is it Just Jesus only ?

Did Peter Know anything about the gentiles salvation receiving the Holy Spirit prior to Cornelius? And who recieved the mysteries about the church ( jew gentile into one body ) and the Gospel to the gentiles first?
