Hello,
I am new to this site and thank you for a Christian community where believers can chat, learn, and discuss issues with eternal consequences.
Please allow me to state that I am probably the worst Christian in the world, as I have made so many mistakes in this life that I look back at my past with heartfelt agony. I struggle each and every day with my "flesh" nature and find that I disappoint God over and over. I truly agree with Paul when he wrote that he did the things that he knew not to do and didn't always do those things that he knew was right.(paraphrased) I wonder if anyone else goes through these times or if I am alone in this struggle.
I have broken every commandment that God gave us.Take a moment to really consider that and you will understand how lost I was at one time. Self loathing is a constant as I find it very hard if not impossible to forgive myself for my past sins. Many in the "church" community have condemned my attempts to renew my childhood relationship with Jesus Christ. Perhaps they are correct, I don't know anymore. Maybe someone within this community could shed light on these questions: Can a man that was saved as a 10 year old child find forgiveness for sins committed after he knew Christ? Could someone like a Hitler or a Stalin be saved after causing the deaths of thousands? How can we forgive ourselves for sins that have hurt so many people around us?
