You seem to look "truth" right in the face, and not recognise it. Could it be that you are one of his wise and prudent regenerated children in whom he has hidden the truth from?
Oh brother!

You mean one of the wise (by the grace of God) and prudent who thankfully discarded and was delivered from false dogma.

Amen. And yet for some interesting reason that Biblical fact is laughed at by calvi’s. 🤔
Please read my post #4179.
With the heart you believe....Romans.10:10.
You are right, Sister. The reason that we can believe is that our old stony heart has been changed to a heart of flesh (soft heart). in regeneration.

Sorry, sister, you have, as of yet, not been delivered from all of the false doctrines. There are many more that you can go through with your thought of mind, unless you change it.

I am sorry, but there are too many scriptures that will not harmonize with your theory. Dan 4:35 that you say that you believe will not harmonize with your thinking that God wants to save all mankind eternally, but he can not because they won't accept him. If it is God's will to save all mankind, then all mankind WILL be saved. How can you refute that fact?
I don't see any conflict with scriptures. And that is what scripture says that God wants all men to come to repentance. Whosoever calls upon him and believes in him shall be saved. No conflict with any scripture that I can see of. Like you said we have to harmonize scripture. We do that by taking the scripture together and in context. Rightly dividing the word of truth. I can do that without having to change any of the words or context of scripture around, and I see no conflict in any scripture.

God wants all men to be saved and through the Word he has already told us how we can be saved. If anyone accepts what he says and accepts him when he calls then they will be saved, if they don't then they wont. I think it is pretty plain and simple.

There is no way, without changing word meanings around or taking scripture out of context, to say it any other way.

The only way that a child of God can see the truths contained in the scriptures is if the Holy Spirit within them reveals it unto them.

The scriptures teach us that most of God's regenerated children will not be revealed unto them. Why God hides the truth from most of his regenerated children, I do not know. I just know that the harmonizing scriptures uphold that fact.

Eternal life was paid for and secured for all of those that God gave to his Son by his death on the cross After Christ died for them, God looks upon them as holy and without blame. as far as their eternal inheritance is concerned. Those that he died for on the cross will feel and understand the effects of the cross when God quickens them to a new spiritual life.

Christ did not die for all of mankind, just those that God gave him. If God wanted to save all mankind to heaven, then, he has the power to save them even if they reject him, and he would if that was his will.

Jonah rejected his will to go and preach to Nineveh, but God brought about circumstances to make Jonah change his choice of travel. God, if he so desired, could bring about circumstances to change all mankind's choice to go to heaven.

The natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, will not pick up a bible of spiritual conversations, because he cannot make heads nor tails of it, and thinks spiritual things are foolish.
Forest, I’ve met people who have done exactly what you say no one does, read the Bible and believe in Jesus Christ for having done so.

1 Corinthians 2:14 does not imply that the Spirit has been withheld from natural man but that unbelievers reject things of the Spirit because they make a choice deeming it foolishness.

Jesus teaches us to ask, search and knock and the door will be opened. Jesus isn’t talking about materialistic goods but rather gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Amen or ignorantly applied to the muscle that pumps blood through our bodies......last time I checked, every cognative decision is made with the BRAIN that God gave to humanity....although it's use by some is questionable at best....like the guy I seen welding standing in water one time and the lead was loose.....!

With all due respect, you have met people, who have been regenerated, that read the bible which converts them from a sinful way of life to serving and honoring their God that they already believed in.

If the natural man cannot discern (understand) spiritual things, then how can they read and understand the bible. Is not the bible a book about spiritual things?

Are you referring to the brain of the person with a stony heart, or the person with a heart of flesh (soft heart)?

You do realise that God changed the stony heart of some to a heart of flesh, now don't you?

You do understand a metaphor right?

With the MIND man believes....NOT the lump of myocardium sitting LEFT of center in the chest.

Until you are willing, honest and truthful enough to take off the Rose colored, reverse mirrored glasses and view scripture honestly and without your Calvinistic bias....you will keep missing the target like a man shooting an arrow with only one fletching and the broadhead not tuned to the shaft!

Where in the Bible does it state people are regenerated then come to the faith.

What I see in Scripture time after time after time is people listened to Jesus or were witnessed to about Him after which they made a decision whether or not to believe in Him.

Jesus even told his disciples to shake the dust off their feet when his peace was not accepted. He did this rather than telling His disciples to not even bother going to point A, B or C. This shows people have a choice.

If no one could come to Christ by the power of the message, He would not have entrusted us with the Great Commission. 😉
God's born again babes in Christ are in every tongue, and every kindred, and every people, and every nation. Some of these babes in Christ who are born again but are lost from the knowledge of the righteousness of God are the lost sheep that we are to go into all the world and preach to. If we preached spiritual things to the natural man, who cannot understand the things of the Spirit our preaching would fall on ears that could not understand.

Thanks for your comments on the difference in the stony heart and the heart of flesh. I do believe that I know a lot more about harmonizing the scriptures, than you do, evidenced by your post answers.

I say this with respect but you have built a nice strawman with your theology. We witness to people, and if they accept God‘s truth then they were lost sheep who have now been found, but if they reject God‘s truth they are natural man never to have an opportunity to believe.

I have love for you brother, I really do. I believe you’re misguided but I see your love for Jesus and that’s all that counts.

Now here’s a question for you; in your opinion do people who reject calvinism have salvation?

Duskey, Eph 2 explains that the natural man who is dead in sins (spiritually dead) at the time of his quickening by God and did not have the understanding of spiritual things in order to make a spiritual decision, until God changed his stony heart to a heart of flesh and put his Holy Spirit within him. after the quickening to a new spiritual life, then he could listen to Jesus or be witnessed to about him and respond with a decision to believe in him.

It is much harder for a person to change their understanding, when they have been taught a false doctrine. I perceive you as a sincere person that is dedicated to learning the scriptures and pray that God will continue to provide you with insight into the scriptures in your future studies.

A very big YES. I reject some of what I have been told of Calvin's writings. Salvation in Greek meaning, is "a deliverance" There is an eternal deliverance, and there are many deliverances that we receive as we sojourn here in this world, that are not eternal. that said, I believe that when a regenerated babe in Christ comes unto the knowledge of the righteousness of God he receives a deliverance (salvation) from being ignorant of the righteousness of God. After we are born again, we gradually grow in the knowledge of the scriptures and become more mature with that knowledge.

About your question; I believe that those who are already saved eternally, can be saved (delivered) from the false doctrine of Calvin, by rejecting it. I hope this has made some sense to you.
