In the Australian state of Victoria a communist regime has dictated everything to the state for the last 6 months...

Our state premier, Daniel Andrews, has obtained these dictatorial powers by calling a "state of emergency" (SoE) in the state, the only state to do so back in March... This SoE gives the premier the power to pass new laws unchecked, without the approval of parliament. It is essentially a dictatorship...

In the last 6 months all the other states passed their lock down restrictions through their parliament. But in Victoria Dictator Dan has passed in his own laws unopposed... This has resulted in the most strictest lockdowns in the western world... Dans decisions have turned out to be a disaster screwing up quarantine, contact tracing and aged care which has lead to this supposed second wave and all these deaths...

Dan has also taken advantage of these dictatorial powers to introduced a range of other laws and deals which no one knows anything about cos he prefers to keep up this veil of secrecy and won't answer any questions...

As far as i know there has been no other state in the western world that has given these sorts of dictatorial powers to its leader... If there is then please tell me about it... Now that the 6 month expiration is approaching Dan is trying to pass in a new law to extend his communist regime and keep parliament shut down for another 12 months which is just total insanity...

The city is dead and i don't think its ever coming back... I personally don't know anyone who has had covid but everyone i know has been damaged really bad from all of this scare mongering laws... September 5 is supposed to be a protest and i welcome it. The problem is that its way too late. There should be protests every day out here but the public are mostly brainwashed by the media who keep a daily tally on covid cases and deaths and keep up the level of fear.

The worse thing is that no one here even knows about this... The media hasn't explained any of this to the public because they are heavily bias and favour the left... So they've been protecting Dan and cheering on his fascist regimes lockdown restrictions... Probably the dumbest thing is that he has still not made up a plan of how to get out of this which leaves over 6 million Victorians clueless as to what justifies a lockdown. He seems to just want to suppress the public until these venom needles are released when they expect us all to take it... No way...

We still have over 2 weeks left on this stupid lockdown. Our restrictions include; a curfew from 8pm to 6am, we cannot visit anyone or have any visitors, we cannot travel more than 5kms from home, we must wear a mask when leaving our house, we can only leave home for 1 hour a day for exercise or shopping, we can't do solo activities like fishing, golfing, swimming, biking, hiking or anything...

Victoria is kind of leading the way for the rest of the western nations i think. Take it as a warning that this may happen in your state soon as well

It is sad and shocking to hear this, but don't forget that Australians kept voting for Leftists to begin with. It is looking more and more like this will happen all over the Western world. Absolutely no politicians who are in office are crying out for a halt to Covid Fascism and a return to conditions before January 1. As to a thorough investigation into the Wuhan Virus Conspiracy, that will probably never happen.

Well that's not actually true... Our federal government has been right wing for 7 years now. Its our state that is left.
But even so no one voted for a communist party, no one voted for a dictatorship. I can't leave my city, state or country.

Absolutely no politicians who are in office are crying out for a halt to Covid Fascism and a return to conditions before January 1
Every countries economy is burning and they have had to borrow heaps of money.
It will take decades for countries to get over this but the leaders don't seem to be at all concerned about that...
How can they all be so reckless... Have they all been paid off by the UN, the world bank, Gates, Soros... Or are they being deceived

In your opinion, what should have been done?
Should of done like the other states who chose democracy in March... Andrews chose socialism instead
Do u agree with this socialism? With the blocking of parliament? With the dictatorial powers?

Where I live we listened to what would help stopped the spread and the restrictions were lifted and the numbers have held steady which allows for better contact tracing.

It really does not take much to stop the spread of a virus.... the problem with this virus is the long incubation period, obviously modern generations X,Y, and Z and whatever else would have lost their collective minds during two worlds wars and a great depression.

You were quite detailed in your criticisms of the government's decisions but not so much in your opinion of what should be done, I'm genuinely interested. I don't know much at all what socialism is, I don't know if this is it?
I don't think the government has a long term plan at all, I don't like the idea of NZ direction of hard lockdown everytime there is a case.
Dictatorial powers? I'm not sure of that, state of emergency and disaster are place for such times. Not an expert if this such a time for such things. And we are not the only state/country to face such harsh temporary lockdowns, I'm sure you're aware of that.

Your Victorian? Pleasure meeting you
I probably blabbered on too much in the OP cos my concern is this unique political situation our state is in...

When a new law gets passed it has to first go through parliament. The law only gets passed if it has a majority vote in the senate.
So u need all the votes from the MPs in your party plus some votes from the opposition and independents to pass a new law...
In a state of emergency (SoE), the premier has full power to bring in new laws by himself, without parliament...

Does that make sense? Cos everything hinges off that. And Dan wants another 12 months of it...
See, the media is so left wing bias that no one knows this important fact...

Here is the opposition leader talking about it...

All the screw ups like hotel quarantine, contact tracing, aged care, wouldn't of happened if parliament was sitting...
Curfews, 5km limit, no fishing, golfing and other solo activities, these are the most radical restrictions in the west and would never had passed the senate...

Anyway we were supposed to lockdown to save our hospitals from filling up, they never came close... Then they moved the goal posts and hid them... We have no idea what the plan is, Dan can just call whatever he likes, whenever he likes. I don't trust him

Yes it sure does seem that way. I don't follow the news all that closely. Neither do I take too seriously what opposition leaders say either for alit of what I've heard of late when listening to 3AW is politicians slamming each other for points.
I gladly admit it could be nieve of me, but I'm willing to give Andrews that benefit of the doubt when the media wants to start throwing out words like dictatorship. I doubt that's what is going through his mind, any government knows that people is a nation's main asset and if people are not working and business is not running there's less money for the nation and no nation wants that (unless there's some underlying power that wants to overthrow current political systems, which I hear conspiracy theorists talk about) I'll admit my error when that day comes.
As I said, state of emergency and disaster has been in place to premiers before Andrews, it wasn't something his government invented and put on us. Does the extension has to be approved? And I think I remember hearing on 3AW the other day from some politician who was trying to bring facts to this hysteria that it's reviewed every 4 weeks? I could be wrong and thinking of something else.

We shall wait for the judicial inquiry too. You can't please all the people, if Andrews did less, the question would be why didn't you declare state of emergency powers? Just like the question, why wasn't the ADF brought in sooner? Some people will see the ADF a force against the people and a threat, while others will see it as safety but those who see it as safety question, why not sooner?

And yes, Pakenham is still thriving

There is another guy on this forum from that's from Pakky as well... Im up in the north west.
I don't know anyone who has had covid but everyone i know has been hurt by these restrictions.

Yes state of emergency has been called before, i think last summer it was a SoE with the fires...
They can only call a SoE for 4 weeks at a time with a 6 month limit... So April, May, June when there was nothing happening Dan was the only premier that kept extending the SoE... The six months expires on Sep 5. He is trying to extend it for another 12 months

The media are using the term dictatorship because that is literally how we are being governed now with parliament being blocked.
In a dictatorship there is only one party that makes the laws... And thats what is happening here now.

But i don't blame you in not knowing about politics. Its complicated and a real drag at times
Im pessimistic of the Andrews government... His been caught lying, hiding secrets, making dodgy deals...

And there is still no plan either... Is he just going to lock us down as soon as there is one case in the state... He won't say

But its all been a massive overreaction... They thought it was going to be like the Spanish flu that killed 50 million people of all ages.
But its just a mild flu-like virus. 99% of people who get covid are fine. Half of those don't even have symptoms so we could have it and not even know it they reckon... It has killed 0.002% of the population with the average age of death being over 80yo...
Its only the elderly that need protecting. Put all the resources into them and let the rest go on with their lives...
If u catch covid then great, your immune now. Quarantine is for the sick, not the healthy...

Thats no reason to shut down everything. This has never been done b4, not in war not in the Spanish flu or the black death or anything, and they were real emergencies... The real damage is still yet to been seen from these lockdowns...

Anywayz i hope im wrong. I hope that your optimistic outlook prevails...

From what I understand South Africa had the strictest lockdown rules but here is the thing:

1) Our infection rate is 5th highest in the world, so did it help?
2) They could not control the people living in the squatter camps and lockdown was one big holiday for them.
3) It was illegal to buy any alcohol and cigarettes during lockdown and the illegal trade was booming. In the townships alcohol was being sold openly. It now came into the open that the people in charge of the illegal trade is the minsters' children and they were making lots of money during this time.
4) It is also a fact that during the Covid period nobody died from heart attacks or any other illness, only Covid. Wow, how unfortunate are we?
5) The stats are so weird I don't even know where to start:
a) We have an infection rate of 618 000 people
b) 14 000 have died
c) recovery rate is 83%
d) 14/618 is 2,27% so that effectively means that you have +-90 000 people with Covid today.
e) Infection rate at worst is 2000 cases per day. The period it takes to recover is two weeks so 24 000 (worst case scenario).
f) 66 000 people are then not sure where they are with Covid recovery.
6) They tried to tell us until recently that our recovery rate is only 54%:ROFL: but I think the penny dropped somewhere, somehow.

Covid-19 as an illness is a reality. Is it as bad as it was foretold? I doubt it.

Oeee Gandalf how can you say this? In our office we had 6 people contracting the virus. Of the 7, 3 was seriously ill (not hospitalized) but they are also the people that end up with influenza and bronchitis every year.

I think the cure for Communism/Fascism is justice. Comrade Dan needs to be booted out of office first (one way or another), and then put on trial for crimes against humanity. I would like to see him hang for what he has done, if convicted. There is a precedent for this, as the Nazis were hanged after the Nuremburg trials despite them having legalised all their human rights abuses before committing them. Then - all Dictator Dan's cronies - lying media people, government doctors, officials, politicians, police - everyone who followed illegal orders by beating civilians for not wearing masks, issuing illegal fines, imposing laws that did not pass through parliament, faking science, committing murder by preventing emergency hospital access - all these people rounded up, and put on trial. For severe cases of treason, these people also should be hanged. For less severe injustices, such people should be jailed for an appropriate period of time matching their crimes. The criminal convictions will allow the victims - those wrongfully imprisoned, fined, beaten etc. to sue the convicted, and the convicted should pay tenfold what damage they caused. Where criminals used the power of law to conduct their crimes, this penalty should be increased to perhaps one-hundredfold (e.g. police arresting/fining people for not wearing masks - a policeman issuing fines of $100 should be liable for penalties up to $10000, as he didn't just steal the money - he did it under the colour of law).

Then the state should sue such people and their foundations, trusts etc. should be confiscated (if the people are found guilty), and sold to compensate the state for the phoney virus-hoax. Banks and lenders providing loans to the government for the scamdemic should not be paid back - rather, those convicted of treason should be handed over to the banks and lenders, for such to extract any remaining monies owing. This will also send a message to international monetary funds, that illegal loans will not be borne by taxpayers, but only by the perpetrators of the fraud.

Oh. And obviously, all stupid laws pupporting to allow "emergency" overrides of the lawful process - should be repealed forthwith, never to be instituted again, on pain of death.

Oh... We have a challenger... Hello again my friend... LoL...
I have been making the claim that the state of Victoria holds the title for most totalitarian in the western world...
New Zealand held the title early on but then our state took the title...
South Africa is overlooked by the other English speaking countries but its is culturally western...

Ok so our most strictest and senseless restrictions are
- Curfew from 8pm to 6am
- Cannot travel more than 5kms from home
- Cannot have visitors or visit anyone
- Must wear a mask when u leave home
- Can only leave home for 1 hour per day for exercise or buy food
- Cannot go fishing solo
- Cannot go golfing solo
- Cannot go swimming solo
- Cannot leave the city, state or country
- Cannot go for a drive without a valid reason; exercise or shopping
- Fines up to $1,600 for individuals and $10,000 for businesses that don't obey the rules. Being heavily enforced

There are heaps more but their the most extreme. And to put it into context we've only had 583 deaths with covid
So that's my case... Can u beat that???

Lol. Melbourne makes Nazi Germany look like a holiday destination! Auschwitz, here we come! :) If Dictator Dan and Adolf Hitler were the only choices in an election, I think Dictator Dan would still lose! (Voting is compulsory in Communist Australia).

Why did the people let this happen?
Why did not the people rise up and say no?
Would never happen in my neighborhood.
Spineless people get what they deserve.

The arms of the Australian people were taken many years ago, due to a false flag terrorist attack (Port Arthur, Tasmania). Apparently, someone with no training and too disabled to even recount the story without police prompting purchased an assault rifle and a week or so later, murdered more than 30 people with an assault rifle and a kill to shot ratio that would make a world-class sniper proud.

The problem is that in Australia, close to 90% of the people can't think for themselves. Those who do rise up or say no end up in jail. The 10% have suddenly found themselves on a prison island they can no longer escape from. In some ways, the tyranny is deserved. In others, the rules of the game changed quite quickly for people to get away.

Hopefully, God provides a Flight-to-Pella-like opportunity for the Christians to escape. Unfortunately, many Christians seem to place the state higher than God. So perhaps like with the Port Arthur false flag, Australia will again become an example to the rest of the world for how not to deal with tyrants.

I see your crazy Dan and will raise you a more incompetent South African government.

Lockdown started 23 March (if I remember correctly) and it was total lockdown. Meaning:
1) No business was allowed to open its doors during this time and we had to stay at home.
2) You were not allowed outside your home unless you were going to the shop to buy the essentials.
3) Wearing a mask is compulsory no matter where you go.
4) You could not do exercise outside your home. Technically you were not even allowed to walk the streets of South Africa. People got arrested for walking on the beaches even if they were the only ones there
5) No alcohol or cigarettes' were sold until recently (we are in August now).
6) They could not apply these rules in the townships so for them it was one long holiday... but millions are losing their income as a result.
7) The SA army was deployed as if we are in a warzone.

The aftermath of what these idiots did is:

1) Restaurants couldn't keep going because they couldn't open their doors for at least two months.
2) The ones that made it are struggling now if they have crazy landlords that is not accommodating with payment holidays for rent.
3) People lost their livelihoods over night.
