As a Christian, don't try to impress GOD ALMIGHTY our HOLY FATHER with your religious performance; don't think the reason He'll answer your prayers is because you haven't done anything wrong in the last few weeks, no! He hears and answers your prayers because His Righteousness has been fulfilled in CHRIST and you prayed in the Name of JESUS. The summary of the Gospel is that you're found in CHRIST, not having your own righteousness but have embraced and are confident in GOD'S Righteousness (Philippians 3:8-9).
Thanks,
JESUS IS LORD.

"As a Christian, don't try to impress GOD ALMIGHTY our HOLY FATHER with your religious performance"

Nobody tries to impress GOD ALMIGHTY our HOLY FATHER with religious performance. People only do their best for God everyday out of fear and love for him.

"don't think the reason He'll answer your prayers is because you haven't done anything wrong in the last few weeks,"

Agree there. God only answers our prayers when it is his will and out of his grace. Never put demands and expectations on God. It is unholy and proud. Be meek, humble, and very small before God if you want God to answer your prayers. If you disobey God and the commandments of Jesus Christ, you will otherwise go to Hell.

Matthew 7:21-23 (NET)
Judgment of Pretenders

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven—only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. 22 On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many powerful deeds in your name?’ 23 Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!’

"He hears and answers your prayers because His Righteousness has been fulfilled in CHRIST and you prayed in the Name of JESUS. "

God doesn't even need Christ to fulfill his righteousness. That is not the purpose of righteousness at all in fact. The true reason is that God is love and righteousness is good, so to be righteous is to love thy neighbor. Every time you are unrighteous, you commit an offense against your brothers and sisters in Christ instead of loving them. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8 (WEB) As such, always strive to be perfect in loving they neighbor. So then, be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48 (WEB)

"The summary of the Gospel is that you're found in CHRIST, not having your own righteousness but have embraced and are confident in GOD'S Righteousness (Philippians 3:8-9)"

Amen to that! Righteousness is never our own. It is always God's. For whoever does righteous acts like godless people do without God in mind does no good to anyone because their righteous acts are always about ulterior motives like pride, greed, and lust.

Romans 13:9-14 (WEB)
9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not give false testimony,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
10 Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed.
12 The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the works of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.
13 Let us walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy.
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.

Godspeed.

How does one embrace Gods righteousness?
By receiving the Blood of Jesus Christ which takes our sins away; and

the Body of Jesus Christ which gives us the Righteousness of God, in Christ.

Just wanted to post the scriptures you referenced.......(y)

Mark 12:28-34 (KJV)
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Hello Heavenian,

I'm sooooooooo glad God rejects the proud and gives grace to the humble. Trying to do the works of God in our flesh is nothing but pride.

However, cooperating with the Holy Spirit and letting the Holy Spirit do the works of God.......AMAZING!!!!

Our works are never good enough and God knows that but, He doesn't mind us wanting to get out of the boat and at least try to walk on the water with Jesus!

Jesus wasn't upset that Peter got out of the boat, Jesus was upset because Peter took his eyes off of Jesus. Jesus asked Peter, "Why did you doubt?" - notice Jesus didn't ask Peter, "Why did you get out of the boat?"(y)

Our focus must have a lot to do with our faith and faith CANNOT work if we are in "fear".

I agree with you and believe the works of God can only be done by the power of the Holy Spirit.....NOT the flesh.

Good morning my precious brother.
Bro, I disagree with this statement, "Never put demands and expectations on God." JESUS said, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you (John15:7). Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Make 11:23-24)".

How does one embrace Gods righteousness?
It is believing what GOD'S WORD says.
For it written, "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God (Romans 10:3)."

I agree with you that we can ask God all we want in prayer and there are no limits to what God could grant.

The difference between prayer and between "proudly putting demands" is important though. You can ask the very exact same things one way or the other. If you do so meekly out of fear and love of God (which I'm sure you don't disagree with me about), then you are doing it the right way that affirms that God is your Lord. If on the other hand, you "impose a demand", as in have a "proud" attitude about your request as if you're equal to God, or worse yet, you are commanding God (sadly I've seen people who made that mistake and got disappointed when God didn't answer), then you are not being reverent anymore, which displeases God. As such, you can't be disappointed if God doesn't answer then.

But going back to your point, yes, I totally agree that there is no limit to what one can ask God for (as per John15:7). My point was only about "attitude" during prayer.

Anyways, I appreciate your posts. Keep them coming.

Godspeed.

Yes brother, asking with a proud attitude is evil. Proud attitudes only comes from the devil. Pride is the nature of the devil.
GOD bless you my beloved brother.
