That must be the worst attempt at exegesis that I have ever seen. Seriously that is the worst.
It doesn't deserve any comment, It deserves to be completely ignored.
:D

It is a dogma against the very reputation/nature of God... and an ongoing infection spreading throughout the Church.

They shut the gates of Heaven and have no compunction about it.

When I read what they teach........... I see they are in the same company as these people....

"hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them" (2 Cor. 4:4).

It is not scriptural... how does it continue to be an accepted theology... agree!
"But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ" (2Thessalonians 2:13-14).

Okay so that's what the Bible says. But YOU say that unsaved fallen sinners choose God!
Did I get that right?

All I am asking for is one single solitary scripture that says that men chose God. Just one. Similar to 2 Thessalonians 2:13........BUT REVERSED! OK? Please throw me a bone here will you?

Your premise that in order to teach choice there must be someone being said to be choosing is a false premise, along the same lines as a muslim demanding the exact words. The very command "repent and believe" implies the capacity to do so freely.

You've "supported" your position by insisting on a false reading of John 6:44 and Romans 9 and that's about it. You speak of plain language in one place and then in another insist that the wrong word is used. It's quite a dishonest manner to handle the Word.
Maybe according to your short term memory problems but not according to the Bible.

Fact: You blew Ephesians ch 1 worsen any human being since Judas Iscariot.
And it is entirely plausible that you have the same problem that he had.

You have to be kidding. Jesus clearly states that He is God clearly says "worship Me".

Hey man quit preaching to the choir and just show us the scriptures.
I mean look...... we have supported our position with innumerable scriptures, and an absolute truckload of them at that. Just a ton of them.

Can you show us one? Just one let's start with one.
No you have not....all you have done is quote a few scriptures out of context, been dishonest with the definitions of words, skewed the truth and peddled the errors of a 15th century ex Catholic as scripture.......you have presented no biblical truth and you have swept under the table every scripture in context that contradicts your calvinistic blather!

Choose you this day whom you will serve.....it has always been about choice!!

Calvinists are consistently dishonest with not only context, but also the very definitions of the words they redefine to support the very errors they peddle....

Like John 3:16 and saying the word WORLD = Elect........very, very dishonest

First you criticize and condemn God the Father then you criticize and condemn His called and appointed teachers.

Have it your way there is going to be hell to pay. Believe it.
HAHHAAHAHHH

She has never criticized the Father dude...and Calvinist teachers are no more appointed by God than Jim Jones was....!!!

Funny how these Calvinites call us free willers....

Choose you this day whom you will serve.

Sounds like free will to me...

Adam had choice
Cain had choice
Noah had choice
Abram had choice
Moses had choice
The Children of Israel had choice
Daniel had choice
Saul had choice
David had choice
The rich young ruler had choice
Jesus had choice
Peter had choice
The pastors and 7 churches in Asia had choice
Every human on the planet has choice

And the INVISIBLE testifies, CREATION testifies and NO ONE is without excuse BECAUSE all have a choice.

No.....we are not the ones in a cult or bound under the blindness of a man from the 1500's that peddled a satanic false gospel.....!

But if it is unpleasing in your sight to serve the LORD, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living (or the false god of Calvin whom you worship now). As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!”

A child who was chosen by God has no choice, because they were chose, you seem to have great difficulty in understanding that,He knew we would receive Him without us ever thinking about it,because he knew us from the beginning.

No cult as you keep accusing the brethren of....its very easy to understand.

I became a born again because I was chosen and drawn......without ever reading the bible.....

Faith comes by hearing, the child hears the Father, when He draws them,His Spirit testifies with their spirit....it’s a reunion with the Father and His Child.....

A wonderful most powerful reunion at that....no Doudt whatsoever.

My testimony.

Calvinism is just another ISM.....and make no mistake.....the followers of Jim Jones believed he was of God as well!!!!

Once again dc...no explanation,...I am not God...I have no power....only to speak what the Holy Spirit asks me to speak.

That is my belief and what ever God asks me to speak...it will be spoken, until then I remain silent.

As He has shown me many times.....I can do nothing without the Holy Spirit......He has the power,I have zero/nada.

Therefore I am called to stay humble before the Lord...He is my master/ Father and my teacher.

John ch 3 indicates that the Spirit goes where He wishes. Not where WE wishes.

The Scripture is CHOCK FULL of the terminology of of "choice", yet NOWHERE does it explicitly state that FALLEN MAN FIRST CHOSE GOD! Nowhere. Nor can we induce the Spirit to do OUR BIDDING by supposedly "choosing" to believe.

There is absolutely NO EXPLICIT DOCTRINE of fallen man choosing God.

But there are VAST TRACTS of utterly crisp clear statements by Jesus to the CONTRARY. Likewise in the other NT books, soverign election and God's choice is BOILERPLATE docrine of the kind that is unassailable!

Free will as it relates to salvation is all innuendo and faulty scholarship. All sound and fury signifying nothing.

Excellent post,Amen!

And let’s deny all the other scripture where God chose us.....no it hasn’t always been about choice as you keep saying....where scripture says otherwise.
God chooses,I had no choice,nada/ zero.......God chose me,I did not choose Him.

Never to be denied.

Sorry,I have no idea what you are saying, when you say “I am so up on Calvin’s theology “

I have never heard of him,I had to look him up.

All that I have learnt is from scripture, being led through it by the Holy Spirit,I must rely on Him solely.

I have stopped blathering, trying to understand in my own strength......I can’t,therefore I must wait on God....then I will speak, what he is telling me to say or quote His word.

That is what I believe he has shown me.

Also,I am never ever to deny how I was saved....God chose, drew and saved me,I did nada/ zero.....my revelation was very personal,in fact it was perfect, but then it would be.

It Came From God.......

So you have no answer.

It is all good that you were chosen.... and that god refuses to chose others that is all good too I guess.

The God of scripture bids all to come.

Are you agitated?

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

As per usual Calvinists do not want to pay attention to the key words in that passage.

When it states God chose us in Him, it literally means He chose US that are in HIM, not that He chose to put us in Him in the first place.

We were already in Him,before we were born....then in His perfect timing and will....He quickened our Spirit, made us alive in Christ, spiritually alive...

After all God knows exactly what He is doing....He knew us before we were born....therefore it was His will that I was saved....

He was watching over me as a non believer, drawing me to Him.....I see that all now in retrospect..my testimony.

For precisely the same reasons that God chose Jacob over Esau.

Rom 9:10-13
And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), it was said to her,“The older shall serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.”

This little vignette meshes perfectly within the epic saga of God's elective purposes, its breathtaking breadth and scope spanning all of the Bible and all of the ages.

Yes it's there, it's real, it's unavoidable it's unassailable.
